Close but no cigar

Some days back I ran a free 50 cent power path ticket into a $55 final ticket. I was killing it but essentially leaked my chips away. The next day I was in the final for a $109 ticket while at the same time playing the final for a $320 ticket. Both of which I put myself within striking distance to win only to make a blunder near the bubble. I did further leaking of the cash bankroll afterwards. This led to a short break and a review of my current poker actions. I found my leaks and will be making some adjustments. One of them being I won't be chasing the top milestone spot in the promo mentioned in my previous post titled: 10NL here I come (A triple threat promo) - link is clickable. Important note: don't click links from unknown sources.

Milestone 5 reached

I have successfully reached milestone 5 and that is where I will stay unless I bink a three figure plus score in a tournament. Putting too many hours at the tables is one of my leaks as its leading to mental fatigue as it pertains to the game of poker. Mental fatigue that has me playing bad or making bad decisions with the bankroll. Currently we sit at just $20 something dollars. More than enough to get back on track with our MTT strategy as most our buy-ins are free or at the most costs about 55 cents. These are easy adjustments to make that should have me going beyond the $100-$200 bankroll point I seem to reach but get stagnate at. Below you will see images of the power path series on pokerstars. Step one cost just 50 cents but its a high variance game. If you want to skip that variance I recommend step 2 that has a $1.50 buy in. Top three prizes in the final: $109 ticket (Bronze Pass) / $2500 package (Silver Pass) / $10,500 package (Gold Pass).

Poker Forum

While I still haven't started the build I have been active with researching. Such actions includes the research of the general look the forum will have. I tracked down multiple older style forums I at one point was a member of or admin/mod at. I was pleasantly surprised to find they are still live. Meaning the sites themselves are still assess-able. My first thought is to simply create a version of those. A generic forum that is easily navigated. It was surprisingly hard to find some of those forums. Remembering their URL's was not easy but luckily with some hours research I found many. As I do my research in this regard I stumble upon newly created poker related sites. One being more of a blog site than a poker forum. Such interested me as that is essentially one part of the build we want. We will have the forum on WEB2 and our home-base (the blog site) here on the Hive Blockchain. A multi-site forum/blog page that is focused on helping others earn through poker.

Back to the grind

For the most part I took what seems to be about two days off from playing poker. In that time-period I got some "real-life" actions completed. I am now ready to get back to the grind. A slower paced grind but one I very much look forward to. In the poker world being good at poker isn't enough to be a consistent winning player. One always needs to review their play and adjust. Leaks need to be plugged. Bankroll reviews and more. If you want to be more than a casual player (nothing wrong with being a casual player and having some fun) learning how to do these things is a must. It's a continuous learning experience as the game evolves quickly. With the USD value of Hive being so very attractive this is a great time for me to leverage my poker skills and eventual winnings into some Hive Tokens. To do that we have to win first. For now we will keep our eye on the Hive USD value. Our itchy but disciplined trade fingers are eager to SWAP our $1000 worth of HBD for Hive Tokens. That's it for this post we have some poker to play. Good luck with all you do.

I think a simple working Poker Forum page would be a good first step

Mental fatigue is not good for poker, you need great concentration and clear mind

Catching the bottom of Hive would be a nice trade but I think we must be close 🤔

I only ever play the daily free ticket as part of the Power Path promotion.
The first two levels are obviously a matter of luck, but from the tournament level onwards it's a pretty normal game, but I haven't got that far in a while.

That's cool man, I like poker. Never got too serious, some dabbling on video poker, a digital casino table once haha. Otherwise Texas hold em, mostly non money. Fun to play, I learned a lot I think. Probabilities n such. Our emotion, hand shaking, excitement through subconscious, well at least in real life poker when at the table.

It takes a lot of self-awareness to admit that your biggest leak isn't a strategy flaw, but simply playing too much.
