Steem-Monsters Keeps Giving (splintertalk.io)
It's amazing to see how many alternate ways there is to earn with Steem-Monsters (Soon to be rebranded Splinterlands). First we had the cards themselves, then we had the ability to earn free STEEM/SBD and other prizes in tournament and league play. If that wasn't amazing enough the founders hit us with the massive successful in game currency DEC.
And now yet again they have hit us with splintertalk.io which is a clone of the steemit site that awards us with SPT (SplinterTalk) tokens. It has been fairly exciting and amazing to watch the growth of this game and the growth of the community behind it and I suspect the newly minted SPT token to go to the moon along side everything else Steem-Monster related, so If you are replying from the site Splintertalk.io let me know in the comment section as I have some SPT staked and I will hit you with an upvote to get you started with getting some of your own to stake or to do with as you please.
If you have been living under a rock and haven't heard or joined Steem-Monsters yet. Then you can do so by clicking anywhere on this highlighted area. All you need is your steem details to log in to get started with collecting/trading or selling. If you decide you want to play the game then there is an initial $10 fee that will also grant you 30 essential Steem-Monster cards for game play.

I'm already signed up I think @rentmoney. I just logged in with my Steemit login. Is there something else I need to sign up to?
I don't get what the point of it is though especially since they've just released palnet. Are we supposed to choose between the 2 tokens or do we get both when we post on Steemit.
It's just getting more and more complicated and I've been here a while. I would think a newbie to crypto is going to really struggle nowadays.

If I log in to my splintertalk account I don't see any replies I made from Steemit on this post. This leads me to the conclusion (that may be wrong) that we won't get any SPT from upvoted posts/comments unless they are put on the blockchain from the SPT site.
In other words, our conversation here on Steemit isn't showing on splinterlands comment section. If you can make a reply from the splinterland.io I can upvote you so you get some SPT.

I just realized I missed some of your questions.
I believe One could earn SPT / PAL and STEEM all on the same post if we use all the proper tags. Anything posted on the SPT / PAL site is posted on Steemit. Using the PAL tag (might need to be the first tag but I'm not sure) will mean your post will earn PAL tokens if someone who has PAL staked upvotes your topic.
So for example if I create a post on Splintertalk and put Palnet as the first tag then that post will also show up on the Palnet site/Splintertalk and our regular Steem Blog giving us the opportunity to earn PAL coins/SPT and Steem/SBD.
I'm not sure if it needs to be the first tag. I've been using the palnet tag but not putting it first. I haven't used the SPT tag yet.
I'll probably wait until someone does a illustrative post of what they've been earning, before I change my behaviour. There are so many moving parts now. 😁
For SPT as far as I know it doesn't have to be the first tag but (unless it changed) I remember reading that Palnet requires a post to have their tag as the first one unless you are posting directly from the Palnet site.
Creating a post on the SPT site using the Palnet as the first tag will give you the potential to earn STEEM/SBD/PAL and SPT.

That sounds good but unless SPT allows drafts I'll stick with Busy. I have a load of draft templates saved there with my footer etc.

Whats the difference between splintertalk and the forums? Different usages, I assume.
I'm not sure what is planned for each site but the forum has a much different layout then a blog site and that is one of its appeals. On the other had for an old timer that has been around the Steem blockchain awhile they may opt in to the splintertalk site instead as its basically a clone of Steemit.
I like the forum site, its cool. TokenBB is just awesome overall. With all these nitrous sites being launched, I've got so much to keep track of, its insane.
I like the forum layout as well and I think new players/new members to the steemit blockchain will find it easier to navigate a forum then the current blog sites we have.
This is interesting, your first reply is the only reply I see on splintertalk. I wonder if its because I responded to your from Steemit and not the SPT site with my other comments

Its a very exciting time for Steemmonsters/splinterlands but it seems as if that is always the case (which is a good thing).

Does that mean you have to actually be on splintertalk to see this comment? That seems a lot to manage.
I can see your comment from my regular blog in which I post from Steemit but I can't see any of your or my Steemit comments from the SPT site.

Having a hard time using this site. Its slow for me.
Yeah, its having issues. Slow loading and post vanishing and then reappearing.
I suspect its being worked on.
I am not sure how this all works or if it also posts to Steemit, but I am glad to see it - I didn't know it existed until i saw your post on Steemit. I am just now getting fairly good at Steem Monsters and love it so maybe I can pick up some play hints along the way.
Nice, SM is certainly fun and addictive. Ranged in the back / Mele in the front and magic can go anywhere is basic game strategy. If possible put something that regenerates health in your team.
I just found out about splintertalk today when I recieved some SPT In my Steem-Engine wallet , lol ! theres so much been going on with the new Palnet site as well that I found out about yesterday that im getting overwhelmed! Now if we use splintertalk do we only post about splinterlands there!? I also seen that we can also use the #Palnet tag and get rewarded from them plus Steemit, is this correct!? I agree, there is allot going on. I have no official answer but I have been reading that SplinterTalk was meant to be mainly for Splinterland posts. If that is going to be enforced or not is another question.
If you use the palnet / spt tags you could potential earn Steem/SBD/PAL and SPT with the same post.
