The Poker Journey Continues (Bonus Money Increases The Roll by 14%)

As of 2026-07-08 my poker bankroll at site one sits at $59.68 USD. I earned a ticket into an all in Freeroll. For such a freeroll one doesn't need to play or even be at the table when it commences. I didn't expect to cash in it as I had a small amount of chips compared to others registered. The tournament itself had a total prize pool of $10,000 with $1,000 going to first place. I had 15 or 20 blinds and the chip leaders had 300+. To my surprise I manage to cash for $8.00 in C$ (the sites symbol for bonus money). The C$ can't be cashed out but it can be brought to the cash tables. Meaning the next time I log in to play $0.02/$0.05 and buy in with $5 USD the buy in amount will be taken from my C$ balance and not my real money balance. Any winnings at the tables are in USD and will be added to my real money balance. If I lose my C$ balance subtracts the lost buy in from its total leaving me with a C$ balance of $3. It's an interesting system. Sure it's not real money but it's close enough to it and can be utilize in ways that I play regardless so I welcome any amount dropped in my account.

Above is a screenshot of a hand where I hit a full house vs. a small flush. It is also the hand that gave me the entry into the freeroll I won the $8.00 C$ in. Freeroll rolls -- earn chips when winning a massive pot relative to the blind levels being played. A pot of $10.24 is equal to 205 big blinds -- I believe its 50 BB or better that starts the qualifying sequence. Overall I had a couple decent days playing at 0.02/0.05 with just one blunder that cost me a full $5.00 USD buy in. That blunder: I hit a small flush draw with a straight draw. Two others in the pot and the pot had near $2.00 in it. Opener places a small bet, second player reluctantly calls and I jam. Both other players call and both also have flush draws. One player with a straight draw that has mine out kicked. I am down to three outs and they don't hit. I knew it was a high variance play but not necasairly a bad one with how the action went down. However I am going to refrain from such plays going forward. I said I was going to nurse this little starter roll and that is what is going to happen. So far only 1/6 sessions were whammies.

One Day Later
I was wrong about the C$ bonus funds. I played a little loosey-goosey thinking I try a high variance style with the free 8 in $C. After losing a full $5 buy in I realized the lost amount came from my real money account. My next session didn't go well either. Luckily my most recent one did. I ran a $5 buy in up to about $27 USD before before ultimately leaving the table with $20. My current starter roll at site one sits at $59.08 + $8 in bonus funds. I'm currently ranked in the top 200 of a daily leader-board which at current placement will yield me $1.50. There is still much hours left until the leader-board finishes for the day. I'm not sure if I'll continue playing to maintain or possibly increase my standings. Below is some of my current stats. After I built a $20+ stack at a $5 buy in table I widened my range. Which was working great but unfortunately I had over pairs. First being JJ on a 10 high board that ran into AA - cost me a $10 pot. I also had QQ run into KK that cost me around the same. It's hard to complain with a 4X return but those were some coolers (an unavoidable outcome).

That's it for now. I do have research on the horizon to see what these $C bonus cash is all about. I suspect they can be used in tournaments and possibly some fast past games. That will be a post for another time. For now I got some grub to eat. As always, thanks for visiting us here at the @rentmoney blog. We appreciated every single one of you. May your day be filled with aces. See you at the next one :)

You got some good bonus $ to try something
