Rewarding others using commentrewarder

A few days back I created a post using @commentrewarder for two reasons. The first is I want to reward those who are actively engaging with my posts. The second being is a direct result of my itchy vote finger. On the Hive Blockchain we have something that is called Voting Power. If our Voting Power depletes to 0 we have to wait for it to regenerate before voting again. Regeneration cost is time not currency. It would take one day to recover 20% Voting Power. That means if someone was to deplete down to 0% it would take five full days of not voting to recover to 100%. Currently my Voting Power sits at 51%. Hive Stats tells me it will take 2 days 10 hours and 43 minutes to recover to 100%. Considering our max vote value never changes regardless of our Voting Power percentage 50 percent is plenty of room to work with. However I would like to recover to a higher percentage. So in an attempt to do that and still reward those who interact with my posts I will once again be utilizing @commentrewarder. How does commentrewarder work? Keep reading to find out.

How to utilize CommentRewarder

For those who haven't heard of commentrewarder; its a profile on the Hive Blockchain that allows authors to share their post earnings with those who participate in the comment section of the authors created post. To utilize first @commentrewarder needs to be added as beneficiary to said post. Essentially you give commetrewarder a percentage of your post earnings and commmentrewarder helps you reward others. After adding commentrewarder to your post as beneficiary you will need to choose what percentage of that posts rewards you want to share with others. CommentRewarder does all the heavy lifting for you. All you need to do is vote on the comments in your post that has commentrewarder initiated on and those voted on comments will receive a share of your post earnings. The percentage of your vote will determine the share of rewards each comment receives. For example if you give comment one a 1 percent vote and comment two a 2 percent vote the 2 percent vote will receive double the rewards when compared to the applied 1 percent vote. No vote means no reward.

Splinterlands Sticker Shop!

Splinterlands is rolling out community-designed stickers. This fall players will be able to craft their very own stickers that are sellable. Individual stickers are to be priced at 200 DEC or Credits each. Packs of 5 stickers are to be priced at 800 DEC or Credits for each pack. Proceeds will be split evenly, with 50% going to the DAO and 50% going to the sticker creator. How cool is this? I feel as it might of flew under the radar a little. Now you know :)

Splinterlands official quote:

To kick things off, Influencers (players who actively create Splinterlands content on social media platforms) and Gold Tier members of the Ambassador Program will qualify to create stickers for free. Creators may submit up to 5 stickers and can choose whether they are sold individually or as a pack, but not both. Quote source: Announcing the Splinterlands Sticker Shop!

How To Purchase CREDITS

Splinterlands makes purchasing credits a breeze. Both cryptocurrency and fiat can be used to purchase credits. To utilize fiat the popular app known as Paypal is available. To purchase credits you will need to log in to your Splinterlands account. Secondly you will need to click on the little credit icon at the top of the Splinterlands homepage. After doing so you will be brought to a new page. On this new page you will see two very distinct clickable icons. One will say CRYPTO. The other will say Paypal. Click the option you would like to utilize. If you are utilizing Paypal the min purchase is 10,000 credits. Each 1000 credits are worth $1.00 USD. There is a varying service fee. For a 10,000 credit purchase using paypal that fee is 70 cents. If you are using Crypto the service fee drops to 10 cents for that same 10,000 credit purchase. Min purchase using crypto is just $1.00 USD. For every 100,000 Credits purchased within a single transaction you earn a bonus. For every 500,000 Credits purchased within a single transaction there is an additional bonus added on top of existing bonuses.

Concluding Thoughts

We have set commentrewarder to 20%. I will be handing out 1 and 2 percent votes. Those 1 - 2% votes will not pass the dust threshold. These small votes from the author of this post are designed to reward those voted on with a portion of this posts earnings. If your comment gets voted on by the author of this post (@rentmoney) Commentrewarder will send your share of this posts rewards to your wallet after post payout. For those who might not know what the dust threshold is: all created content on the Hive Blockchain needs to reach a value of $0.02 before being paid out. If a comment or post doesn't reach $0.02 in rewards there is no rewards paid out. All rewards below the $0.02 threshold is commonly called dust. No financial advice has been given in this post. As always we like to end our post with thanking you for spending your valuable time with us. See you in the comment section :)

Note:

I instinctively hit publish post before setting commentrewarder (face palm). I will manually process rewads based on comments that receive a vote from me on this post. Payments will be sent within 24 hours after post payout.

Haha I see you will be going manual on comment rewards. Everything in social media is a post waiting to happen. Now you can post how difficult replicating CommentRewarder manually is 😆 Kind of cool that Splinterlands is doing some worthwhile fundraising with the Lumina card sales. I gotta say though I'm just here for the game. I don't need a worthy cause behind every business. Like the coffee shops that supports a certain cause. I'm just interested in how good the coffee is. I guess I'm old school that way. Donate your own money on what you think is important and just buy the best coffee out there. Keep it simple.

I also forgot to put the post to 100% powerup.

I instinctively scrolled down and smashed publish and almost instantly thought, Oh shit.

A couple days back I was in the low 30's. Not too big of a deal but once I noticed I decided to try and get some of that juice back. Up to 50% currently. Should be 60% tomorrow. I can cut back on handing out votes but my itchy vote finger won't let me fully stop voting at all - hahaha.

I trying vote with bigger % because I have not enough hp. 🥶

Quite a bit of diverse information from which one can pick some good points. One of them for me is to use more the @commentrewarder beneficiary to boost up engagement.

I'm still too used to the old system of running down the voting power to 80% everyday even though the size of every vote now stays constant. It works better this way for me though. I prefer a regular system.

I hear you. Hive stats shows the old system metrics.

There is a lot of useful information inthis post.
Thanks
I have seen commentrewarder around and on my own posts, but didn't understand how it came to be. Now I know.
Thanks for the info on Splinterlands also... I stopped playing and sold all my SPS for Hive. But I kept some DEc, so I may start playing again.
Did they just release a new batch of cards?
