WEEKLY BATTLE CHALLENGE: CARRION SHADE
Hello everyone, we are reaching the weekend and the end of the season in the game Splinterlands, where there is a big oscillation in the card rental market to get the maximum power to open more season chests.
Today my post is about this week's challenge about the Carrion Shade card.

THEME: Carrion Shade
Edition: Chaos Legion
Rarity: Common
Element: Death
Attack: Melee
Abilities: Flying

The highlight of this card is its low mana cost and at level 3 it gains Flying ability, which increases the chance to dodge Melee and Ranged attacks.
The card's weak point is its low stats, but you can't ask too much of a card that costs 1 mana.
Although his health only increases at the last level, his evolution stands out for the increase in speed that increases the chance of evading being weaker against Magic cards because his ability has no effect.
Carrion Shade is a good card to use in first position in low mana battles because it only spends 1 mana, but it can also be used in medium mana battles, but in second or third position, using its Flying ability to protect from Opportunity attacks, or in the last position, to protect from Sneak attacks.

BATTLE RULES
The rules for this battle are like, Little League, in which only monsters and summoners that cost four or less mana can be used in battle;
Mana capacity 17 and all available splinters except Dragon
BATTLE

Being a low mana battle I chose to summon Thaddius Brood with Buff (-1 Magic attack; -1 health) to make opponent's monsters more fragile in terms of monster health.
As a tank I chose Carrion Shade, having two health points, I could withstand one or two attacks from the opponent, and in the second position, Chaos Agent, to be the target of Snipe or Opportunity attacks, and I protected the best cards chosen for the battle in which I alternated between the third and fifth position, Magic cards with Life Leech ability, each time they hit a monster's health they gain a health point, Venari Bonesmith and Life Sapper, among them I protected Death Elemental card from Magic attack with Snipe ability.
And in the last position, Cursed Sumeball to be the target of Sneak attacks.
My strategy for this battle was to protect the Spell Cards from initial attacks, and when they were attacked, their health points increased due to Life Leech skill, and they had a greater chance of surviving in the battle.
My opponent chose as a summoner Mother Khala from the buffered Life splinter (+1 health), so it nullifies itself with Thaddius's buffer.
Starting the battle, the opponent's Magic Attack Time Mage card has the ability, Slow, which reduced the speed of my monsters, consequently attacked first in the battle taking a health point from Carrion Shade, then attacks my Death Elemental monster and eliminates Chaos Agent with one attack.
The opponent's card Celestial Harpy with Opportunity ability attacks and eliminates Carrion Shade, moving Chaos Agent to the first position, then they attack my cards with Life Leech ability, the opponent's tank Blinding Reflector and take two health points from the opponent's card and increase one health point in their lives, and Blinding Reflector counterattacks and eliminates my Chaos Agent card, moving Venari Bonesmith to first position, and the first round ends with Stitch Leech with Melee attack and Sneak ability eliminating my Cursed Sumeball card , and so my two cards with Life Leech ability now occupy the first and last positions in the battle at the end of the first round.
Starting the second round, Time Mage attacks and takes a health point from Venari Bonesmith, then Death Elemental attacks and takes a health point from Time Mage, and is attacked by Celestial Harpy for being the lowest health monster in the game. battle, then attacking my two Magic cards with Life Leech ability and eliminate Blinding Reflector with their attacks and increase their health by one point, moving Celestial Harpy to the first position on the opponent's team and the second round ends with Stitch Leech's attack on Life Sapper that takes away two health points.
Starting the third round, Time Mage hits Venari Bonesmith and takes a health point from him, and Death Elemental counterattacks and takes a health point from Time Mage, it's Celestial Harpy's turn to attack Venari Bonesmith and take a point, and the my cards with Life Leech ability attack and eliminate Celestial Harpy, increasing his health points by one point and passes Stitch Leech leading the opponent's team, ending the second round with his attack on Life Bonesmith taking two health points from him.
Balanced battle, with losses for both parties, and starting the fourth round Time Mage attacks and eliminates Venari Bonesmith passing Death Elemental to lead my team, in which he attacks and takes a health point from Stitch Leech and Life Sapper also takes a point, being Stitch's turn to attack and eliminates my Death Elemental card, in which Life Leech starts to lead the battle at the end of the third round, being my only living monster in battle, against three opponent's monsters, thus being in clear numerical inferiority but my health points were equal to the health points of the opponent's three monsters, having some possibility of winning by Life Sapper having Life Leech skill and thus I was able to superior in relation to the opponent's health points.
Starting the fifth round Time Mage attacks and takes a health point from Life Sapper which then attacks and eliminates Stitch Leech the card with the highest attack of the opponent, passing Time Mage to lead the battle.
Starting the sixth round, Time Mage attacks and Life Sapper counterattacks and eliminates the opponent's Time Mage card, leaving the Life Sapper battle against Gargoya Scrapper with a Melee attack, in which I end up winning the battle, because the damage received was compensated with Life Leech skill.

Parabéns pela vitória!

Obrigado! Não é uma carta comum para usar em batalhas, mas em batalhas de baixa capacidade de mana até dá jeito em alguns casos
