How many Packs could the Total DEC supply buy with a $1/ 1000 DEC Peg?

Maybe surprisingly (?) not that many compared to the number left for sale ATW!

According to @dalz' latest stats the total supply of DEC is approaching 2.5 Billion DEC....

Now IF the @splinterlands team decides to re-introduced a soft peg for DEC by allowing players to purchase CHAOS packs for either $4 or 4000 DEC and IF 2 BILLION of those DEC were spent on packs at 4000 DEC per pack the math is simple....

• 2 000 000 000 divided by
• 4000
• = 500 000 packs purchased.

Or half a million packs in total - enough to take us half way to the next legendary summoner air drop...

This would probably only happen towards the end of or after the SPS airdrop...

ATM and for probably at least the next few weeks there's no need to introduced a soft-peg for DEC as the return in SPS justifies buying it for more than $1 - but with the end in sight and with the price of SPS dropping DEC could start to test that $1 level pretty soon.

And with no significant sinks for it ATM - I mean like NONE! the only thing that's going to stop it crashing below $1 is that soft peg to Chaos Packs.

I don't think there's anything else of the horizon that's going to help DEC stay at it's historic 'peg' - once LAND comes into play that's probably going to be a different story, but that's more than a year away being realistic.

Not enough DEC to trigger a rush to the end of Chaos Packs...

So by the time this hopefully comes into play we'll possibly be up to 9M Chaos packs sold, and then a billion or so DEC being spent on packs MIGHT help us push towards 10 Million at twice the speed of us getting from 8 to 9, but then I think it's back to crawl-sells until we hit maybe 12 million packs when sales might kick up - the last mill will probably go rapido.

But as it stands DEC won't do that much to push us through CHAOS.

So it's just a slow grind through ATM!
