TerraBridge may be expensive but it's usually the cheapest way to transfer SPS...

I transferred some SPS from BSC over to Splinterlands recently and it cost me 0.5% or a fairly large sum of around 80 DEC - about $7 at time of writing with SPS being priced at just below $0.09....

Compared to the flat 1 LEO fee for using the LEO bridge this is STEEP - $7 compared to $0.09 (LEO price ATW), or compared to going via Binance with BUSD/ Hive which has minimal fees too.

HOWEVER, if you were to go via a token with a cheaper tx fee, you'd loose A LOT more SPS on the swap.

Have a look at what I'd end up with if I'd have swapped SPS for BUSD, then gone via Binance, and finally bought SPS with Hive...

  • Firstly I would get 1400.52 BUSD for my 16500 SPS....

  • ATW Hive is $0.499 so that BUSD would give me 2806 Hive...
  • Which would then give me....

16119 SPS

DAMN so O.K. I've saved $6.50 on fees - but THAT'S ALMOST 400 SPS down compared to just 80 odd SPS fees on the straight and much less hassled transfer with the first option.

400 SPS at $0.09 - that's pushing a $36 loss, so $30 down factoring in the fees I'd saved.

Except I wouldn't have saved that much in fees - on top of all of that I'd also pay a 0.25% fee to swap Hive into SWAP.HIVE...

So a 0.5% fee may sound steep, AND IT IS, but these basters have got you by the SPS balls!

Of course if you're transferring INTO BSC you might get a better deal, but then again what's the point in that, you get a better yield with yer SPS in the Splinterlands ecosystem, which probably explains the lack of liquidity going that way!
