How much is it gonna cost me to fill my tract...?

I got to wondering how much it would cost me to fill my Splinterlands tract with certain amounts of maxed cards.

A tract is 100 plots, and all plots have 5 slots, so that's 500 slots in total, all of which can accept one MAXED card!

Now obviously it is going to be a lot more expensive to fill each of the slots on each of the plots with all maxed as opposed to less-than-maxed cards, so I've added in one variation below...

I got the prices from Peakmonsters by simply surfing to see what the cheapest average was ATW for a few different cards of each rarity and foil.

Cost of regular commons compared to gold legendaries

OK So I decided to go for the extremes...

NB the cost below is for a MAX common, and only ONE GFL. I kind of figured there's no point buying anything less than a maxed common these days if you were that way inclined.

The final column is the cost per Production Power point, actually not too much of a difference at the extremes.

So DRUM ROLL PLEASE...

The MIN-MAX costs for maxing out yer tract.....

4100 DEC = $3 for one regular common maxed, and then $3 * 500, well one doesn't even need a calculator, that = $1500, BARGAIN!

It's a bit pricer to max out with GFLS... $190.80 for a max *5 * 100 = $95 400, OUCH!

And mid-range with RARE L6 GLFS all the way =

$16.16 for an LC 5 * 100 = $8080, or $16160 if you wanted to max.....

I think for me a mixed strat is best!

While I do LOVE my GFLs, I'm happy to settle for having enough maxed to cover just my two legendary plots.

And then enough EPIC and RARE GFLS to cover most of my epic, rare, monster and magic plots.

Along with a few older BETAS and UNTAMED for those too!

And then mostly L6-L8 maxed regular rares for the mass of regular common land plots I've got!

One also has to factor in rentals...

I was surprised to find that a lot of my maxed and higher levelled commons and rares, just the regulars are getting above a 10% return ATM, which is nice, so I'm glad I haven't maxed out everything, the mid levels tend to do better, and maxing is 'no way back'.

These aren't the highest returns either, just on rare commons!

The only other thing is...

WEN LAND 1.5?

Hopefully we find out tonight wen land 1.5
I was a little confused at first I didn't know we also needed up to 10k DEC per card lol so that's a bit of a bottleneck there.

I have a feeling though many are only going to focus on the legendary and epic lands and most likely not even touch rare and common lands at least for a while.

If yr gonna populate rares may as well do commons!

It is ofc 5M Dec for a tract of maxed cards too - I've got around 2.3M to pile in which almost covers me!

It's gonna be one hellofa sink!

I really haven't followed this stuff. I got a couple of land, but am not playing these days. It all got too complex, and expensive to keep up. Good luck with yours.

Glad I am not the only one thinking about this rough decisions! The thought around rentals is even more difficult at those returns will likely increase quite a bit once the market dries up as players like us move them to land to produce. I also have issues with my old Alpha cards which I want to shift over to land but love playing with them. Lastly, the other issue on focusing on maxed cards is their staking cost for DEC. Having maxed cards will make the cost prohibitive to stake on all land for tract owners like us. Good luck!

It's 5M DEC for a maxed tract - it's largely why I've focussed on buying golds - I'd rather have half my plots working at the highest PP for 2.5M Dec than 5M Dec and much less PP.

The price of grain is gonna be what... 0.0001 Dec by the end of the year!
