Splinterlands Cards LAND POWER Ranked by Edition/ Gold or not/ BCX arrrghh (I did a spread sheet)

So I've got 100 plots to manage come Land staking 1.5, which will hopefully go live sometime in summer 2023.

The general gist is that the older the card, the higher the BCX, and the higher the status (Legendary highest) then the more Power the card will have when staked to LAND, and of course GOLD cards are a lot more higher powered than regulars.

And Peakmonsters has knocked up a HANDY PP CALCULATOR for land staking.

However neither of these did me much good when going through my cards and trying figure out which ones I was going to stake to the best land.

I figure that you want your highest PP cards on the Legendary/ magical and occupied plots as these have bonuses, and 100% or 40% bonus on 50K PP is going to be worth more than the same on 10K PP, so one has to get this right to be optimal!

The problem with a mixed bag of mixed-level cards....

The problem is I've got lots of cards...

• I bought a fair few gold legendary, epic, rare and common CHAOS cards for land staking. These are mostly for maxing, for land.
• But I've also got a lot of maxed untamed and also partially levelled Betas (so not all max), and I'm not going to now buy say 10, 20, 40 or whatever BCX worth of these to max them!

And once I'd allotted (hypothetically) the obviously highest powered cards (maxed gold chaos legendaries roughly = Maxed beta legendaries regular, and the same for epics) I was then like 'where do I go now'....

• do I go through all Betas, or all golds, all epics... or what? And then I've got some L5/4/3 Beta and Untamed epics, and are they higher powered than Chaos maxed gold commons....?

Errrr, I didn't know, and there were too many variables.

So I did a manual spreadsheet...

I had to resort to manually inputting card editions and levels, using the calculator and then sorting by PP. Here's the results...

NB: Yes there is overflap between the two pics.

NNB the BCX amounts above reflect the cards I've got most of - I'd settled for L5 Epics for example with Betas as that was optimal at the time, and the same for MANY other cards.

NNNB: I'd already put in the highest PP cards which were GFL chaos and regular Legendary betas.

Interesting results

• I've only got a couple of L3 BETA EPIC GOLDS, but they have more power than CHAOS MAXED GOLDS (Obvious once you think there's a 5 times bonus on Betas, but easier to see in a spread sheet)
• Beta rare regular maxed are higher than I'd thought: higher than CHAOS maxed golds, for example.
• Beta common golds, even only half levelled have 2600 Power which beats most of the untamed cards and maxed common gold chaos cards.
• Even the L3 BETA regular cards, of which I have quite a few are going to be featuring on my Magical and Rare etc. plots!

Overall I'm glad I piled into Gold Chaos cards, it's been the cheapest way of 'keeping up with the power of Betas' but this has shown me just how useful even relatively low levelled regular betas are!

Next steps

When LAND 1.5 goes live, now I know which cards to assign to the best plots, the idea is I start with Legendary/ Epic/ Rare and Magical/ Occupied and fill these with the cards at the top in order.... highest Power to the plots with the highest BOOST.

And then I can just TWEAK and jiggle to avoid those 50% penalties and to make use of the 10% bonuses where appropriate, but the later I'm not TOO worried about, and in some cases it wouldn't be worth swapping out the cards anyway - for example if you look at row 2 and 3, it wouldn't be worth putting the Beta Epic Gold 3BCX on say a rare plot compared to an epic plot if it meant I could only put the Beta Epic Regular 46BCX on an equivalent rare plot. I'd actually be losing PP overall in that case.

Of course there may be some kind of 'staking maximisation auto tool' which would be kind of cool, but in the absence of that I'm ready, and this has put my mind at ease.

Now it's just a matter of stacking the approximately 2M DEC I'll need for all this staking!
