Splinterlands LAND strategies...

So I've been having max fun staking all of my cards to LAND over the last week...

And now I'm having not so much max fun unstaking some cards and re-prioritising....

I got my initial strategy about 80% right I think. You can see what I've prioritised in terms of Base Production Power below....you can effectively rank for base PP by sorting by grain required, because the higher the base PP the higher the grain costs...

You can see from this that I've prioritised...

• The castle has around 37K Base PP to give me a tax rate of 15%.
• Then it's SPS... I've got another THREE occupied plots under construction, coming online next week, and once they are done they will be up there in the top 8 slots. At 900 TCs, the rest could wait!
• I spent a few K TCs on getting my magical research plots up and running. I decided to go harder on these than I'd thought I would, once I noticed the relatively low returns on SPS.
• Interspersed are a few relatively highly powered rare grain plots. I wanted to make sure I was at least grain neutral!

My mistake and correcting it....

I used a raft of maxed gold epic and rare Chaos cards on epic naturals and set these to grain, and I think I over grained.

So what I've done now is taken these off and put on some lower cards in the meantime.

I've realised one simply has to max out those 100% bonuses on magical and occupied, so I'm 'shuffling up' my higher cards from grain to magical.

I want to max that 100% bonus, rather than just the 50% I get for epics.

The natural plots

I'll probably keep the epic plots on grain, once you've maxed out yer occupied and magical plots making the most of those 100% boosts that ONLY apply on these, it makes literally no difference what you build on natural plots.

It's gonna have to be grain on MANY of these to feed those hungry monsters on the shard mines and research on occupied and magical.

Total production of plots to date...

This doesn't show what's under construction... more on grain because I wanted to get ahead. I've got a lot more research and shard mines coming online over the next weeks and months!

This has required a 2M DEC stake for I think it's somewhere in the region of 1.2M base PP including the other two dozen plots in construction....

11 SPS an hour, or around 250 a day is OK for now, I fully expect that to halve by the end of 2023.

Research, no idea what that is, but I'm going for equal PP on research compared to SPS.

And then just grain to support....

Weekly buidl...

I'm going to update everything on a weekly basis - maybe aim to bring another couple of plots online every week and jiggle about cards as necessary.

I figure it's easier to move around the higher powered cards between natural plots to balance grain production as necessary, rather than change buildings.

For us mere mortals that don't have enough cards for land, this is the easiest way I think! It means cards being offline for 3 days with the cooldown, but it's quicker than a full-rebuild.

Land start final thoughts...

Well it's all smooth, and I'm getting some rewards, and it's all in reasonable balance, and I can manage it with just 20 mins a day, so that's all good!
