Stacking a little more DEC (while it's still cheap!)

I decided to pull some funds out of the Swap.Hive-Swap.BUSD pool a couple of days ago and swapped them out for some relatively cheap DEC, which is still trading at almost 25% below peg, around the $0.0075 mark.

Presumably DEC will hit the $1 PEG at some point!

I've been enjoying watching the DEC supply dwindle over the last weeks...

Screenshot (76).png

It recently went below 4.7 billion and it's pretty rapidly working its way down to 4.6 Billion.

O.K. Now that is a lot of DEC, but the recent burning and selling of RIFT in DEC and market fees mean more and more DEC is disappearing daily, and there isn't any more being printed....

And of all the assets in the SL universe I just think this is the only one that isn't deflationary, well it quite literally ISN'T!

Of course it all hinges on LAND, but as I see it there are MASSIVE staking requirements required which are going to lock up DEC and there is literally no way (I'd bet my entire card collection on this) there isn't going to be something else do with LAND which requires everyone to spend to MORE DEC to either speed things up or improve chances of mining something.

So I think buying now at $0.0077, certainly below $0.0080 just feels like an easy 20% gain somewhere down the line, certainly a no-loss situation.

Especially when I know I could use 3M DEC on my land, and I'm not there yet! (2M and counting, getting there!)

The HE Pools make this easy...

OK obvs I now don't have as many funds in my fave HE pool now...

But it's very nice to have some in there for precisely these kind of reasons, easy to buy whatever SL or other HE assets you like.

Also the pool itself offers both a decent return and nice HBD/ Hive hedge.

Needless to say I will be repopulating this with more funds at my earliest convenience!

A great move, I too have been buying DEC with these bargain prices. No big buys yet, but I hope it starts building up to a nice sizeable sum! :)

It feels like a safe strategy, I mean what's not to like about a 20% more or less guaranteed gain? I'm hoping the timeframe on that is well within a year too!

I have a stash in the SWAP.HIVE:VOUCHER pool and then also >700k DEC doing fuck all. Should I power up the HIVE and use DEC:VOUCHER instead I wonder? I don't know what the APR is for this pool.., it's not clear.

I like that VOUCHER pool but i've just started stacking the voucher now, it's too painful selling it for Hive at $0.10 - I've got this feeling they'll take measures to inflate the price (5K Vouchers for the next deal, not 1000 for example).

Also with DEC because I'm stacking it for LAND I'm just keeping it liquid doing nothing... it's not worth risking it pools for the short term.

Once DECs nearer its peg I'm back in whatever DEC pool offers the best return.

The reason you're struggling to find the APR for the DEC-VOUCHER pool is that there isn't one!

https://beeswap.dcity.io/ - search for it there!

Me too, but I have an aversion to tokens not working for me.

Well, bollocks to that idea then!

I know what you mean re tokens not working, I do have some in the SPS-DEC pool... but I'm just playing it safe - DEC is likely to go up I think compared to anything else, so the last thing I want is a few hundred thousand DEC sucked out into Hive or SPS which are probably going to stay level.

Of course if BOTH assets went up it's win-win, it's the LP dilemma!

But yeah defo no pooling out of the kindness of me 'eart!

If I may ask, how do you all come up with the strategies that you want to use?
Most times, I am always confused of what to do

Good question, with DEC I just know there's not going to be enough to go around in the medium term!
