Hi guys, I'm making this post about Splinterlands after more than a year since this post.

I've been dumb

As I said over a year ago I was present on splinterlands and playing continuously since October 2019. Almost 2 years ago.

The card you see in the image above had a very low value when I found it, it was around the 50USD range I seem to remember.

and today?

well....

Yes you read that right, the paper I sold for (I seem to remember) 50USD is now worth 1800 USD.

Could I have ever imagined such a thing?

Absolutely not, or I would never have sold my entire profile for around 3500 USD, I don't even want to know how much it would be worth today if I had kept it but I'm sure it would be around 25000/30000 USD.

I would like to say that when I sold it I made a profit, I spent about 500 USD and still made 3000 USD, but I don't think I can look at it as a huge victory, if I hadn't been in a hurry I would have made a ridiculous performance today.

Unfortunately, life is like that sometimes, sometimes you run after something new and you get carried away, and then you make incredible mistakes.

And today?

Today I decided to swallow the defeat and roll up my sleeves and decided to get back to investing in Splinterlands, I bought some DECs (Around 1800USD) and participate in the SPS airdrop.

I will be buying packs and cards soon with the new expansion, maybe some Land.

I will play and try again to reach the higher leagues.

I will learn from my mistake and my fucking rush and try to get back on the train I lost.

I don't think it's too late, and given how long-term the project is I'm sure I'll be able to sit at the winners' table one day too.

Mistakes are useful to learn, to realise one's weaknesses and to improve, and I'm not ashamed to say that I was hasty and a bit stupid, but this experience has been important in shaping me and making me better and better day after day.

Come dicevo più di un anno fa ero presente su splinterlands e giocavo in maniera continuativa da ottobre 2019. Quasi 2 anni fa.

La carta che vedete nell'immagine qui sopra aveva un valore molto basso quando l'ho trovata, si aggirava nei dintorni dei dei 50USD mi sembra di ricordare.

e oggi?

Si avete letto bene, la carta che io ho venduto per (mi sembra di ricordare) 50USD ora vale 1800 USD.

Avrei mai potuto immaginare una cosa del genere?

Assolutamente no, o non avrei mai venduto il mio intero profilo a circa 3500 USD, non voglio sapere nemmeno quanto varrebbe oggi se me lo fossi tenuto ma sono sicuro che sarebbe nei dintorni dei 25000/30000 USD.

Ci tengo a dire che ad ogni modo quando ho venduto l'ho fatto in profitto, a fronte di una spesa di circa 500 USD ne ho comunque guadagnati 3000, ma non credo di poterla guardare come una vittoria mostruosa, se non avessi avuto fretta oggi avrei fatto delle performance ridicole.

Purtroppo la vita è cosi a volte, a volte si rincorre qualcosa di nuovo e ci si lascia prendere la mano, per poi commettere degli errori incredibili.

E oggi?

Oggi ho deciso di ingoiare la scofitta e rimboccarmi le maniche e ho deciso di ritornare ad investire in Splinterlands, ho acquistato qualche DEC ( Circa 1800USD) e partecipare all'airdrop di SPS.

Acquisterò pacchetti e carte prossimamente con la nuova espansione, magari qualche Land.

Giocherò e proverò nuovamente a raggiungere le leghe più alte.

Imparerò dal mio errore e dalla mia fottuta fretta e cercherò di riprendere il treno che avevo perso.

Non credo che sia troppo tardi, e visto quanto il progetto è a lungo termine sono sicuro che un giorno potrò sedermi anche io al tavolo dei vincitori.

Gli errori servono per imparare, per rendersi conto delle proprie debolezze e servono per migliorare, e non mi vergogno nel dire che sono stato frettoloso e un pò scemo, questa esperienza è stata importante per formarmi e per rendermi giorno dopo giorno sempre migliore.

I feel you, I also had a large deck including some nice cards.

I got frustrated during the EIP debates and decided I wasn't really that into the game. lol.

I'm the same, at a certain point I sold everything, I think and hope there's a way not to go back to the same level, but to make a good recovery.

Ciao @riccc96 anche io ho venduto qualche carta dorata e se non l'avessi fatto la mia collezione di carte varrebbe molto ma molto di più...
Quel che fatto è fatto ma conta ancora di più quello che si farà e quindi bentornato anche su Splinterlands!

Purtroppo si, quello che è fatto è fatto, ma sono sicuro che questo sia un treno vincente e non credo proprio scenderò più tanto facilmente.
Mi dispiace solo per il fatto che ora sono uno scarsone disperso nelle leghe bronzo senza gilda e senza le carte che conoscevo e che giocavo al meglio.
Con la prossima espansione vedrò di far crescere almeno un pò le mie carte e un passo alla volta di puntare nuovamente in alto :)

Mi sono ritrovato nella tua stessa situazione, avendo venduto buona parte della collezione per inutilizzo del gioco da lungo tempo.

La verità è però che, anche se non l’avessi fatto, probabilmente ora non le avrei vendute comunque nonostante il valore, quindi in un certo senso mi sento con la coscienza a posto 😅

Assolutamente si, l'unica cosa di cui mi pento è che se le avessi tenute ora avrei potuto probabilmente mantenermi grazie agli affitti su peakmonster xD
