Hello, Splinterlands Community !

Most of the players in Splinterlands are having trouble on card picking; on what might be the best card to use in order to defeat the opponent. Some players can figure it out quickly, while some, especially the beginners, struggles and fails to create a winning team. With that, here are some of the battle techniques I have learned on 3 months of playing Splinterlands.

With that, without further ado, lets go to battle techniques.

THE BATTLE TECHNIQUES

The battle techniques that we are going to talk about today are the techniques on card picking. It is important to look out for the previous battles of your opponent because that gives you an idea on what they might use against you.

Here are the effective strategies on card picking:

• IF YOUR OPPONENT USES FIRE ELEMENTS ON HIS/HER PREVIOUS BATTLE, USE WATER ELEMENTS OR COMBINATION OF DRAGON AND DEATH ELEMENTS.

It is best to use water elements against fire elements because most of the water elements have very high speed. This means that they can avoid most of the melee and range attacks. As we all known, fire elements, specializes in very high melee damages and that could be a big threat, unless that attack can be avoided. Most of the monsters in fire elements have low speed and by water elements monsters, we can definitely avoid those massive attacks. To determine the probability of avoiding an attack, just subtract the speed of the attacker to the target monster and that will determine the evading chance of the target monster.

Aside from the water elements, it is also effective to use the combination of dragon and death elements against the fire elements. Most of the death elements has Thorns ability. Using that and the increased shield given by the Dragon Summoner, we can easily wipe out the monsters in the fire element. Everytime they will attack, damages will also be done to them.

• IF YOUR OPPONENT USES WATER ELEMENTS ON HIS/HER PREVIOUS BATTLE, USE EARTH ELEMENTS TO DEFEAT HIS/HER WATER MONSTERS.

Since the speed of water monsters are threat to everyone, we should create attacks that can surely hit an enemy. With that, magic attacks is the only choice that we have. Magic attacks never miss and it cannot be resist by a shield, unless there is an ability or rule about hitting shield first before the health of the monsters. If the focus of our attacks will be magic attacks, then Earth Unit is the best element for that. Most of the monsters in the Earth Unit has magic attacks and there are summoners there that elevates the magic power of the monsters. It is best if all of your chosen monster, against water element, has magic attacks.

• IF YOUR OPPONENT USES EARTH ELEMENTS ON HIS/HER PREVIOUS BATTLE, USE DEATH ELEMENTS OR FIRE ELEMENTS TO DEFEAT HIS/HER EARTH MONSTERS

As we all know, Earth Elements specializes magic attacks. If this will be the focus of the enemy, it would be difficult to win the battle. The only choice to negate and lessen the damage that they can do is to use Death Elements. Summoners and Monsters in the Death Elements can negate, resist, and lessen the damage of the magic attackers. That is vital in the game since the magic attacks directly reduces the health of the opponent. The only downside of the Death Elements is their low attacks.

Using the Fire Elements against the Earth Elements is also a good thing and it is very effective. Fire elements manages to have a very massive attacks towards their opponent and that could work against the Earth Elements. When you are planning to use Fire Elements, focus on elevating their speed. This is the down side of the fire elements, but there are summoners and monsters that can fix his thing.
