HELLO, SPLINTERLANDS COMMUNITY !

Fire Unit is known for its powerful attacks and to the huge damage it can give to the target monster. With that, when you are battling with this unit, it is highly suggested to increase the speed of your monster to avoid its attack or increase the defensive state (the life or shield) of your monster. But even though we do that, there are fire monsters that has tricky abilities that can counter the stated strategies above. To know more about this monsters, don't leave and we are going to know more about it!

THE LORE

There are some places in the Burning Lands where rats are especially easy to find, so the discovery of Exploding Rats has been beneficial to the Torch in several ways. In most cases, the strange but simple combustion spell is only used for extermination purposes in the caves and around the city of Azad. Combustion works better on some species than others. When used on humans for example, the same spell only catches their hair on fire, which is easy enough to put out. For some unknown reason, rats explode with enough force to take down a brick wall. Because of the intensity with which they explode, rats are also weaponized in several interesting ways.

THE POWER OF EXPLODING RATS

The EXPLODING RATS is Rare Fire Unit with Blast ability. Monsters with this kind of ability can make damage towards the adjacent monsters of its target monster. That is a pretty nice move because if you make this monster attack the second monster of the opponent, then you can make damages to its first position monster and third position monster. If the third position monster of your opponent has only 1 life and no shield, then definitely you can eliminate that monster by just targeting the second position monster. This monster has 2 melee attacks, 4 speed, and 1 life. Its melee attack is just okay. Not so high, only enough to at least create a damage to monsters with Shield ability. Its speed is super impressive because it only means that it can potentially avoid melee and range attacks. The only downfall of this monster is its life. It only has 1 life. So the expected life span of this monster is only one round. That could be a problem in the game because it has such a powerful ability and speed but due to low life, we cannot maximize its full power.

In order to extend the life of this monster and live on its full power, combination/s of other summoner/s and monster/s must be done. The following cards below can be use in order to elevate Exploding Rats.

CARDS	DESCRIPTION
	SUMMONERS
	Use this Summoner to increase the melee attack and the life of Exploding Rats. An additional life might help.
	It is perfect to use Drake of Arnak alongside with Exploding Rats. This Summoner guarantees protection against melee and range attacks. It can ensure that Exploding Rats cannot be eliminated in just one attack.
	MONSTER
	This monster is perfect to use alongside with Exploding Rats. It has an ability to attract all the attacks of the opponent. With that, Exploding Rats can avoid attacks an can ensure to live until the next level.

Aside from the cards that can empower this monster, there are also other way to improve the battle ability of this monster. It is by levelling it up.

	ABILITY	DESCRIPTION
	BLAST	This ability is already given at Level 1 (As explained above).
	REDEMPTION	This ability can be obtain at Level 5. Monster with this kind of ability can make 1 melee damage if it dies.
	TRUE STRIKE	This ability can be unlock at Level 8. Monsters with this kind of ability never miss attacks.

When Exploding Rats achieve its final level, it will be hard to stop. With the use of True Strike, this monster will never miss and due to that, its Blast ability will be activated. At Level 8, this monster has very high speed and could potentially evade many attacks. If ever it did not miss the attack and dies, then its time for Redemption ability to be activated. Even it dies in the battle, it can still make revenge for itself.
