For over years, we notice how powerful water unit is; how speed matters in the game. Water unit is the speed master. Most of the monsters here has a very high speed and sometimes, it is being more intensifies by an ability. Aside from speed, water unit is also reliable in terms of creating damages towards the opponent. Actually, there is a monster here that portrays all that characteristics mentioned. It is named THE KRAKEN.

I know that you are all so excited to learn about this monster, so without further ado, let's start the feature!

THE LORE

They say that in the recent shifting of the Planet that has come with the Untamed, great schisms were opened on the floors of the seas. Through these new openings emerged new monsters from the core beyond, larger than anything even the most traveled Azmaré pirate has ever seen. The Kraken is one such beast, and one that occasionally swims as high as the water’s surface. Sailors who have seen it say that it approaches from beneath like a great storm cloud, somehow darkening everything around it with its massive shadow. With the swipe of a single tentacle, the Kraken can capsize the mightiest ships as if they were a child’s bath toy. The Kraken is so huge that special Gloridax sorcery was used to ensure that its projected essence in tournament battle was only a small portion of its actual size. If this precaution had not been taken, summoning the Kraken would have crushed every spectator in the arena.

THE POWER OF THE KRAKEN

THE KRAKEN is a Legendary Water Unit from Reward Edition. with Taunt ability. Monsters with this kind of ability can attract all the attacks that the opponent can make. Its like a forcefield that absorbs all the damage. This monsters has also starting stats of 4 Melee attack, 4 Speed, 3 Shields, and 14 Lives. By looking at its overall characteristics, we can say that this monster is one of the meta. With its ability and high defensive state, it can definitely protect the other monsters in the field. Also, its high speed makes it eligible on evading lots of attacks. In terms of the offensive state of this monster, we can say that it is also a force to be reckon with. By just one successful attack, it can eliminate one monster. The only downside of this monster is its mana value. This monster needs 12 mana in order to be summoned in the field. This only means that you cannot use this monster on low mana fight. If you force to use this monster on low mana fight, it will limits your other card picking, which is risky on that kind of mana fight.

Although this monster is already strong, we can still elevate its abilities and stats by levelling up this monster.

	LEVEL	ABILITY	DESCRIPTION
	LEVEL 2	DEMORALIZE	Monster with this kind can reduce the melee attacks of your opponent.
	LEVEL 3	ENRAGE	Monsters with this kind of ability has increased melee and speed when damaged.
	LEVEL 4	RETALIATE	Monsters with this kind of ability can attack back its melee attacker.

DEMORALIZE. This ability can elevate the power of The Kraken because it limits the potential damage that your opponent can make. Making this monster live longer in the field is a good technique to protect your other monsters.
ENRAGE. Due to the ability of this monster, surely, it will receive damages. With this ability, taking damages is a good thing. It will only strengthen more the offense and evading ability of this monster.
RETALIATE. Due to Taunt ability, retaliate will be so useful. For every melee damage it gets, there are corresponding attacks that this monster can do. That kind of strategy is such a powerful move in the battlefield.

WHERE TO PLACE THIS MONSTER?

• Place this monster on a tank position. Tank position is the perfect position for this monster so that it can be the target for all the attacks.
• Never place this monster on the middle position. Monster with taunt ability should never be positioned on the middle. More monsters will take damage if your opponent uses blast ability. So better to position this monster only on the first and last position.

ELEVATE IT MORE!

Aside from levelling up and taking the consideration of where to place this monster, there are also other way to elevate the power of this monster. It is by partnering it with other cards. Finding the perfect companion of this card can really change the whole game. Here are the two starter water monster cards that you can use to elevate the power of this monster.

KELYA FRENDUL. This monster is perfect with The Kraken because it can elevate its speed and shield. This will strengthen the defensive state of The Kraken.
MERDAALI GUARDIAN. The existence of The Kraken in the field is very important so that's why keeping it alive as long as possible would be great. With the use of tank heal ability, that monster will have more opportunity to contest and use its ability in the game. It can protect the other cards longer and make more damages towards the opponent.
