Last week, the tanks and the healers are the star of the post. We talk about their current status in the market, strategy for the monsters, and verify if they are underrated, overrated, or just in its proper state. But for this week, we will divert our focus to monsters and we will talk about the SUMMONERS. Summoners determine the advantages and disadvantages that will exist in the game. They are the effect setters and their abilities are threat to everyone. To discuss it further, let use now start THE CARD FEATURE: SUMMONERS EDITION.

The suggessted feature card for this week is the BYZANTINE KITTY. This summoner was suggested by @gaared16. Aside from that, there are two other summoners that caught my attention while battling at the tournaments and these are MYLOR CROWLING and YODIN ZAKU.

Since everytime summoners level up, the only thing that improves to them is their ability to summon the number of Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary monsters, therefore, we will change a little bit the criteria for the last spot in the feature. Normally, we give the last spot of the feaure to the monster that has the potential to be a threat when it level up, but for this week, we will give the last spot to the most expensive Summoner in the market to date. And that summoner is ARCHMAGE ARIUS.

THE SUMMONERS

BYZANTINE KITTY is a Legendary Dragon Summoner. It gives two additional speed for all of your monsters in the field and it heals your first positon monster in the field. Also, this summoner gives all of your monsters a TRUE STIKE ability. Monsters with True Strike ability, their attacks cannot miss. This kind of ability is very helpful to monsters with low speed, has melee attack, and range attack, since their attacks has the possibility to miss. Another thing is that, this summoner is helpful to every monsters that will be placed in the first position. Having a healer that cannot be destroyed is a great advantage in the game. Also, the ability of the summoner to give additional speed to its monsters is a pretty good thing since speed determines the order of attackers in every round.

CURRENT MARKET PRICE

In the in-game market of Splinterlands, the price of this summoner in Card Sales ranges from $598.99 to $3,000 depending on its level. So far the highest level on this market is level 2.

For card rental, the prices ranges from 9.30 DEC to 50,000 DEC depending on the level of the summoner. So far, the highest level being offered in the market is level 4.

WHEN TO USE THE SUMMONER

Base on my research and observation in this summoner, it is perfect to use this summoner along side with low speed monsters. Dragon Summoners can be use with any elements in the game. In all of the elements in Splinterlands, Fire Element monsters has the lowest speed of all. Despite of their strong damage, they are still being defeated due to the speed they have. Now, using the BYZANTINE KITTY, the weakness of Fire elements will be covered. By increasing the speed of every monster in the game and by giving them the ability TRUE STRIKE, the probability of missing an attack will be eliminated. Also, it will be more difficult for the opponent to create damage on the tank if there is an indestructible healer.

MYLOR CROWLING is a Rare Earth Summoner. Earth elements specializes in magic attacks and the ability that they possess is also a threat for aalmost all elements. MYLOR CROWLING gives all the monsters Thorns ability. Monsters with Thorns ability does damage back to the attacker. Usually, the Thorns ability does two deductions at the attacker. This kind of ability is very useful against monsters with high speed and high damage. High speed monsters are hard to attack, but with this ability, creating damage onto them will be possible. Also, high damage monsters are hard to resist. Using thorns ability, instead of resisting it, we will immediately take revenge for the attacking. This Summoner is good to use if ever you think that defensing will be the only way to win the battle.

In the in-game market of Splinterlands, the price of this summoner in Card Sales ranges from $29.80 to $1,554.11 depending on its level. So far the highest level on this market is level 6.

WHEN TO USE THE SUMMONER

It is perfect to use this kind of Summoner if you are going to use a tank with Shield ability. Monsters with Shield ability reduces the damage made by melee attacks and range attacks. Reducing the melee damage while creating a full damage back to the opponent is a smart move. That will maximize the the use of Thorns ability. If ever you want to elevate it, I suggest to add up cards that has Demoralize ability. It will be a great strategy to take a way the melee attack damage, while creating a damage back to the attacker.If this was done carefully and perfectly, then success will be assured.

YODIN ZAKU is a Legendary Fire Summoner. This summoner can ***increase the range attacks ***and life of your chosen monsters in the battle. Also, this card gives all of your chosen monsters in the field a Blast ability. Monsters with Blast ability does additional damage to the monster adjacent to the target monster. All of these advantages offered by YODIN ZAKU is a very great thing, especially the Blas ability. If the monster with Blast ability targets monster on the second position up to the second to the last position, the other monsters beside that target monsters will also receive damage from Blast ability. It is like attacking three monsters in just one attack. Also, an additional life is really helpful in the game, especially to a crucial one. The additional range attack damage is also helpful due to the fact that your monster will create damage without worrying about the Thorns ability.

WHEN TO USE THE SUMMONER

This Summoner is perfect to use against the Death elements. In starter deck, the two playable summoners are THADDIUS BROOD and CONTESSA L'AMENT. Thaddius Brood reduces the magic attacks and life of the opponent's monsters and Contessa L'Ament reduces the range attacks. The mentioned effects can be negated by the effects of YODIN ZAKU. Also, in Death elements,there are monsters that has Thorns ability. The only way to kill the monster with Thorns ability without causing any damage back to your monster is by the use of range attack and Blast ability. With this, Thorns ability will be unfunctional.

Now that we are done on the first three monsters, let us now evaluate and analyze the effects of the most expensive summoner in Splinterlands, the ARCHMAGE ARIUS

ARCHMAGE ARIUS is a Legendary Dragon Summoner. It can increase the melee attacks, range attacks, and magic attacks of all your chosen monsters in the battle. This Summoner can clearly enhance the ability of all the monsters to do damage towards the opponent. Another thing is even though it has that powerful effects, still, it is only 5 mana which is so affordable for low mana fight. Also, another reason that makes this card so expensive is its element. It is in Dragon Unit and Dragons can be paired up to any element you want. The effect that this card possess is more effective to high mana fight, wherein you can choose monsters that has two ways of attacking an opponent. Also, this summoner let the player free on what attacking type he or she wants to focus on because whatever they choose, that attack will be enhance.

CURRENT MARKET PRICE

In the in-game market of Splinterlands, the price of this summoner in Card Sales is $24,970. There is only 1 available card in the market. The level of this available card is level 4.

For card rental, the prices ranges from 220 DEC to 1,199 DEC depending on the level of the summoner. So far, the level being offered in the market is only level 4.
