THE DEADLY BURNING BATTLE OF FIRE SPLINTERS

HELLO, SPLINTERLANDS COMUNITY!

Today, the new weekly battle has been posted and it is about the LAVA SPIDER. I have been waiting for this card to get feature because everytime that my Daily Quests is about Snipe ability, I use LAVA SPIDER.

For this week battle challenge, the rules are:

THE BATTLE

For this week, my strategy is strengthen my defense while weakening the offense of the opponent. There are certain abilties that can be use on this kind of startegy. There are cards that fits to this strategy and there are cards that can handle this kind of technique. So for this post, we are going to tackle the following:

• THE MANA CAP AND THE STANDARDS
• THE CARDS USED IN BATTLE
• THE FIGHT

Without further ado, lets discuss the battle.

THE MANA CAP AND THE STANDARDS

On this battle, the rules are: it is a 99 mana cap and it is No Standard. Meaning, we can use any cards on this battle as long as it is fitted on the required mana cap. Normally, the No standard rule are given to the BRONZE III and NOVICE Rank.

THE CARDS USED IN BATTLE

Relying on the planned strategy is a good thing, especially if you are confident about it. With that, I decided to use TARSA as the summoner, LIVING LAVA as the tank, RADIATED BRUTE in the second position, LAVA SPIDER in the third position, SERPENTINE SPY in the fourth position, TENYII STRIKER in the fifth position, and DISINTEGRATOR in the sixth position.

• TARSA

TARSA is a Rare Fire Summoner. It has the ability to increase by 1 the melee attack and the life of other Fire monsters in the field. This card can also summon high level Common monsters (white), Rare monsters (blue), Epic monsters (violet), and Legendary monsters (orange) depending on the level of this summoner.

• LIVING LAVA

LIVING LAVA is a Rare Fire Monster with Shield ability. Monsters with this kind of ability reduces the melee and range attack damage made by the opponent (to know more about this ability, click this). This card has 3 melee attacks, 1 speed, 2 shields, and 6 lives. By looking at its overall characteristics, we can say that this card is the perfect tank for the Fire unit. The only weakness of this card is its speed. It only has 1 speed, meaning it cannot avoid any attacks made by the opponent. Luckily, its ability, shields, and lives make this card tough, hard to kill, and enough to defend LAVA SPIDER.

• RADIATED BRUTE

RADIATED BRUTE is a Common Fire Monster with Reach ability. Monsters with this kind of ability can attack from second position. This kind of ability is great to increase the damage that can be done on the opponent but kind of limited due to the fact that it can only be place on the second position (to know more about this ability, click this). This monster has 2 melee attacks, 1 speed, and 5 lives. By evaluating its characteristics, we can say that this card is good for battle and has the potential to be a substitute for tank due to its number of life. Also, this monster could help the LAVA SPIDER on doing damages. The only issue for this card is its limited ability and its low speed.

• LAVA SPIDER

LAVA SPIDER is a Common Fire Monster with Snipe ability. Monsters with this kind of ability targets range, magic, or no attack monster that are not in the first position. This is a very valuable ability because magic attacks are difficult to resist. With that, it is better to eliminate monsters with magic attacks using this kind of ability. This monster has 1 range attack, 2 speeds, and 4 lives. By looking at its overall characteristics, we can say that this is a good card, but not very reliable in terms of doing damage due to its low attack.

• SERPENTINE SPY

SERPENTINE SPY is a Common Fire Splinter with Opportunity ability. Monsters with this kind of ability may attack from any position and it attacks monsters with lowest health (to know more about this ability, click this). This monster has 2 melee attacks, 3 speed, and 1 life. By looking at its characteristics, we can say that this card is a threat for battle. The only issue here is its low health. This card is perfect for LAVA SPIDER due to the fact that it can help it on increasing the damage in the battle.

• TENYII STRIKER

TENYII STRIKER is a Rare Fire Monster with Sneak ability. Monsters with this kind of ability attacks from the back position. This is vital for the game since most of the players place their strongest monster in the back (to know more about this ability, click this). Eliminating the strongest monster first is a good strategy to ruin their offense. Also, this monster has 2 melee attacks, 2 speeds, and 6 lives. By evaluating the characteristics of this monster, we can say that it has a major role in the battle due to its different way of attack. This could be a great asset in the game.

• DISINTERGRATOR

DISINTERGRATOR is a Common Neutral Monster with Demoralize ability. Monsters with this kind of ability reduces the melee attack of all the monsters of the enemy. This is a great combination with the Shield ability because the combination of both ability will narrow the damage to zero. It will be hard for the opponent to combat this style. Also, this card has 2 melee attacks, 1 speed, 2 shields, and 5 lives. By looking at its characterisitcs, we can say that this card can also be qualified as tank and can be used in this battle to increade the protection for the LAVA SPIDER.

THE FIGHT

This is the moment of truth. We will now see if my strategy will become effective.

ROUND 1: THE EFFECTIVE EFFECTS

In the first round, the effects od Summoners and Monsters takes place. CONTESSA L'AMENT tries to reduce the range attack of my monsters but luckily, I do not have monster with range attack. With that, the effect of this Summoner becomes useless. After that, the effect of TARSA elevates the melee attacks and life of my monsters. Also, due to the ability of DISINTEGRATOR, melee attacks of my opponent was reduced.

After the exchange of effects, DEATH ELEMENTAL attacks LIVING LAVA and that causes the deduction in the life of LIVING LAVA. Next, SERPENTINE SPY attacks UNDEAD BADGER, which cause the elimination of that monster in the field. Then, LIFE SAPPER attack LIVING LAVA. This cause the deduction by 1 in the life of LIVING LAVA but the increase by 1 to the life of LIFE SAPPER. After that, LAVA SPIDER attacks DEATH ELEMENTAL and TENYII STRIKER attacks LIFE SAPPER, which cause the elimination of it in the game. LIVING LAVA and BONE GOLEM exchages attacks and RADIATED BRUTE also attacks BONE GOLEM. That now lives the opponent with only 4 monsters in the field.

ROUND 2: THE WRATH OF FIRE MONSTERS

For the round 2, DEATH ELEMENTAL attacks LAVA SPIDER and SERPENTINE SPY takes revenge for LAVA SPIDER, which cause the elimination of DEATH ELEMENTAL in the battle. Next, LAVA SPIDER attacks BONE GOLEM and TENYII STRIKER attacks SHADOW SNITCH. The two monster survives the attacks, but for BONE GOLEM, it is hard to survive the attack of LIVING LAVA. SHADOW SNITCH tries to take revenge but it failed to create damage to LIVING LAVA. Then, RADIATED BRUTE attacks CURSED WINDEKU and CURSED WINDEKU attacks LIVING LAVA, which also failed to create a damage. That leaves the battle with two monsters left in the opponent side.

ROUND 3: THE DEMORALIZATION

For the third round, the two remaining monsters in the opponent side struggles to create damage to my monster due to their low melee attack. Everytime they attack, the damage becomes zero. This only shows the lethal combination of Shield and Demoralize. At the end, no one of my monsters was eliminated in the battle, while for my opponent, it is the end of the great battle.

CONCLUSION

Overall, the battle becomes great. All of the monsters perform very well. The strategy turns out to become very effective. For LAVA SPIDER, it did good. The only issue about this card is its low range damage. When using this monster, I suggest to use a summoner that can elevate the range damage of this monstes. Other than that, this monster will be a great card for battle.
