Hello, Splinter Community!!

Its been almost a month since I started playing this NFT game; the Splinterlands. At first, I am just figuring out the special abilities of each cards, the strength of every element , and the importance of every characteristics of each cards.

Most of the players only relies on the special abilities of each cards and the amount of damage it can give to the opponent, without looking at the important variable to have an effective attack; The Speed.

Each card has its own speed, but water splinters have higher speed compared to others. Here are the three cards with standout evading effect:

The Serpent of Eld is a water splinter with Dodge ability.

It has an increased chance of evading melee and ranged attacks. Using its ability and the speed of 4, enemies are always having troube on attacking this card. Their attack always miss (sometimes in five consecutive attacks).

Another card that has impressive evading effect is the Demonshark.

This card has a Trample ability and has a speed of 4. The trample ability let the monster to attack again if it kills the monster it is attacking. This is such a great ability. Also, having a speed of 4 is a good thing.

Next water splinter that should be watch out is the Ice Pixie.

This card has a speed of 3 and has a Flying ability. It has an increased chance of evading melee and ranged attacks of monsters without flying ability. Having a speed of 3, this card can help you survive the battle.

WHAT IS SPEED FOR? HOW TO KNOW THE EVADING CHANCE?

Speed is vital for evading attacks and it is also important to determine the arrangements of attacks in the battle, so you should always make this a top priority.

Now, I just watch this on Youtube, to determine the probability of evading attack, you should just minus the speed of the two monsters that are battling. For example, you are using the Serpent of Eld and battling with Living Lava. The Serpent of Eld has 4 speed and the Living Lava has 1 speed. By subtraction, the difference is 3. Therefore, the Serpent of Eld has 30% chance of evading the attack of Living Lava. On the other hand, the Living Lava has no chance of evading the attacks of Serpent of Eld and this could lead you to victory.

Thats it! Just subtract the speed of two cards and you will know your chance of evading attacks.

Use this knowledge to take down powerful opponents.

Thats all for now, Splinter Community! Have a great day!
