THE NEW META: THE FIRST THREE CHAOS AND WAKA SPIRITBLADE
Hello, Splinterlands Community !
Today, is the CARD FEATURE DAY! For the past weeks, I have seen the users of the website going crazy about the new card releases and that is why I decided to create a content about it. So for this week's CARD FEATURE, we are going to talk about THE NEW META in Splinterlands. Most of the cards that will be feature is from Chaos Legion Pack and the other one is from Promo.
The cards the we are going to talk about are DOCTOR BLIGHT, BAAKJIRA, and URIEL THE PURIFIER. Normally, we give the 4th spot to the card that has the potential to be a threat in the game. This time, we will give it to the newest card release and that is WAKA SPIRITBLADE.
As this feature continue, we will talk about the following:

- HOW TO COUNTER THE CARDS
With that, lets start the WEEKLY CARD FEATURE.
When the Chaos Legion Pack was release, many players want to buy it and use the cards in that pack on their battle journey in Splinterlands. As the pack release continues there are airdrop cards that was given to lucky players. The players that will receive these cards are those who only bought the Chaos Legion Pack. It is not guaranteed to receive those cards, but there are higher probability of obtaining airdrop cards if you bought many packs.
The first airdrop card on this release is DOCTOR BLIGHT.
DOCTOR BLIGHT is Legendary Neutral Monster with Affliction and Camouflage ability. When a monster with Affliction hits its target, the target monsters will be unable to heal. Monsters with Camouflage ability cannot be attack by any monster unless the card is place in the first position. Doctor Blight has 1 magic attack, 1 speed, and 4 health.This kind of monster is very useful because it can be use with any elements and it has magic attack. Magic attack never miss unless there is an ability provoking it. The only thing that we should worry about this card is that it has low speed and average health. That could be an issue when this monster is place on the first position because it could not withstand the damages that the opponent produces. Also, it could not have time to attack because surely, it will be one of the last card that will attack, due to its speed. So far, it is the most expensive card in Neutral Unit, Chaos Legion Edition.
WHEN TO USE THE CARD
Due to its Unit, this card can be use in any battle. But, I suggest to use this card along with the Earth Unit. In Earth Unit, there is a summoner that can increase the magic attack of other monster. With that, the attacking damage that this card has will be increase and it can somehow compensate to its low speed and health, due to its contribution to the game.
Additionally, I also suggest to use this card against the Water Unit. Water Unit are the masters of speed. It will be hard for the melee and range attackers to create damage because there is a high probability that they will miss the attack on Water Unit. With that, magic would be the key to win the battle and this card could be a part of that.
HOW TO NEGATE THE CARD
Looking at the characteristics of this card, I can say that it could be negated using the Death Elemental. There is a summoner in Death Unit that can reduce the magic attack and health of the opponent's monster. With that, we can already create damage on Doctor Blight. Also, in Death Unit, you can match up that summoner with one of the cards that has Void ability. Monsters with this kind of ability reduces the magic damage that the opponent gives to the monster. By considering all of this, I think we can defeat Doctor Blight.
BAAKJIRA is a Legendary Water Monster with Void and Slow ability. Monsters with Void ability reduces the magic damage given by the opponent. Monsters with Slow ability reduces the speed of all the opponent's monsters. It has no attack, 2 speed, and 11 health. Clearly, this monster has tank characteristics. Its high health is an asset in the game and its abilities are the one should be watch for. It can really change the state of the game. The only issue about this monster is it has no attack. There are lots of monsters that can be a tank with attacking ability but has lower health than Baakjira. Also, its ability to resist magic damage only could also be an issue because the biggest kind of attackers in Splinterlands are melee and range attackers. Only some of the cards are magic user. So far, this card is the most expensive card in Water Unit, Chaos Legion Edition.
WHEN TO USE THE CARD
Normally, everytime the opponent uses Water Unit, the counter for it is the Earth Unit. But with the use of this card, that could be change. I suggest to use this monster if you are sure that you will be battling with Earth Unit or any magic users. This card can lessen their damage and that is a really great advantage in the game. Also, I suggest to use this monster along with the summoner that can reduce the magic attacks of the opponent. With that combination, their pair up would be lethal to the opponent.
HOW TO NEGATE THE CARD
The only way to negate and destroy this card is by focusing on the melee and range attackers. Baakjira surely cannot survive the melee and range attacks of the opponent. It has no choice but to accept all the damage. So, by raising the melee and range attacks of your monsters, this monster would be easy to destroy. Just only remember also to that this card has 2 speed, so using a monster with 1 speed is not advisable unless you will also use a summoner that can increase the speed of your monsters.
URIEL THE PURIFIER is a Legendary Life Monster with Flying and Recharge ability. Monsters with Flying ability has increase chance of evading attacks to the monsters who do not have Flying ability. Monsters with Recharge ability does three times of the damage than its original attack but it only attacks every other round. This monster has 3 melee attacks, 3 speed, 6 shields, and 10 health. This kind of monster is very risky to use because you never know if it will survive the round where it do not attack. In contrast with that, this monster has very high speed and Flying ability which means that there is a very high chance of missing the attacks of opponent's monster. Also, its ability to create damage towards the opponent is very impressive because it can clearly eliminate the starter cards in just first attack. Another thing is that this card has very high health which can be a potential tank in the battle. So far, this is the most expensive card in Life Unit, Chaos Legion Edition.
WHEN TO USE THE CARD
Use this card against Fire Unit. Fire unit has low speed making it hard for them to attack this card. Also, there are monsters in the Fire Unit that has Shield ability. Monsters with Shield ability reduces the melee and range damage made by the opponent. It would be hard for you to use other elements that only uses normal attack of melee and range. With the use of Recharge, you can compensate the Shield ability and win the game.
HOW TO NEGATE THE CARD
The only thing that I think can counter this card is monsters with Dodge ability and very high speed. This card attacks only every other round and it would be a very big disappointment for the player to see this crd miss its attack. With that, I suggest to use Water Unit against this card. Evading the attack would be the only option to defeat this card
Actually, there is another way to defeat this card and that is by the use of magic users. Magic users directly damage the health of their opponent. It would be very risky because only some of the magic user has high speed.
Now, we are done to the three Chaos Legion Cards. With that, let us now discuss the newest card release of Splinter lands; the WAKA SPIRITBLADE.
WAKA SPIRITBLADE is a Legendary Death Summoner. This summoner can give its monsters a Poison ability. Monsters with Poison ability can can apply poison to their target monster. If the monster is poisoned it will have an automatic damage each round. Normally, a deduction of two health. This is very important ability because there are monsters that is so hard to attack. So the only way to defeat them is to apply a curse to them where they will have a deduction every round. This ability of the this summoner will be very effective to the battle with rule "Poison" because the monsters of the enemy would suffer a lot and that could lead you to victory.
WHEN TO USE THE CARD
This summoner is perfect to use against the Water Unit. Water Unit specializes speed and it would be difficult to attack them on a normal way. With the use of Poison ability, we now have an option on how to defeat monsters with very high speed and difficult to attack. Also, this kind of ability is perfect to use against Death Unit. Death Unit has low health and some of the monster their has Thorns ability. It would be good to create indirect attack.
HOW TO NEGATE THE CARD
The only way to negate this card is by the use of Cleanse ability or Tank Heal ability. Monsters with Cleanse ability removes all the negative effect given to your monster. Tank Heal ability restores a portion of the monster's health. Using this two abilities against the Poison would be very effective and a threat to monsters with Poison ability because the health is being replenish and effect is being remove.
