Today, we are going to take a break on featuring Rare Cards. This time, we are going to feature the one of the most expensive type of cards: The GOLD FOIL CARD.

So without further ado, let us do the feature!

📖 THE LORE 📖

“Teddy bear” is often a term used to describe Tusk the Wide. Even as a child, he was larger than the others. Growing up in the rugged landscape of the Timbersea, he has always felt at home in nature.

His parents used to say he was “born with fire in his soul”. That was true in more ways than one. Tusk's strong spirit is unbowed and unbroken, ready to tackle any challenge head-on. But the day he was born a fire spread across the village. His parents fled to safety within the wilderness, surviving when so many others perished. Now an enormous and burly man of broad shoulders and massive girth, Tusk feels an affinity to fire. Because it spared his life that night, he intends to make each day count. As he charges into battle, he can feel it burning in his veins. And he uses that energy to claim victory. When spells are hurled at him, they fizzle out in his proximity, the blazing energy inside of him burning them away.

Preferring to wander between the smaller villages in Khymeria, he is a nomad who lives off the land. One look at his warm and sincere smile shows he has a kind soul. He is beloved in any town he visits. He cares for others, entertains village children, brings supplies from the woodlands, and takes care of any monsters that threaten the weak.

It was in one such village that Tusk the Wide heard about the threat the Chaos Legion poses. Disturbed by the stories he heard, Tusk sharpened his axe, loaded up on supplies, and took to hunting down the agents of the Chaos Legion.

With another great sweep of his axe, the head of a Chaos Legion monstrosity flew through the air. Tusk rested his axe on his shoulder and continued forward. A line of corpses was left behind him, each felled by a single stroke.

He turned to the small hut where the villagers had hidden during the attack. He could see their shapes in the darkness, peering out from cracks in the windows.

“You are safe now,” he stated. “You may come out.”

The door creaked open, and one by one each nervous villager stepped out. The attack had happened suddenly, without warning. But woe to the agents of the Chaos Legion, for Tusk the Wide was staying in that very village overnight.

“Thank you so much!” one villager called to him. A father grasping a baby in his arms.

Tusk the Wide smiled. His work was never done, but he would not turn down those in need.

⚔️ THE ABILITY OF THE CARD ⚔️

TUSK THE WIDE is a Gold Foil Fire Epic Monster with Void ability. Monsters with this kind of ability can reduce by half the magic attack of the opponent. That is a very useful ability because magic attacks cannot be resisted by shield. It is a direct attack. Also, this monster has 1 melee attack, 1 speed, and 13 lives. Looking at its characteristic, we can say that this card is not that strong in terms of making an offense. The 1 melee attacks can be resisted by shield ability, making it zero damage. Also, the 1 speed cannot avoid any attacks, unless the rule of the battle is reverse. In terms of health, we can say that this monster has a pretty good chance of surviving many attacks. But the question is until when?

As this continue to level up, this monster gains new ability.

At level 4, this monster gains new ability called Inspire. Monsters with this kind of ability gives an additional melee attacks to all friendly monster. This kind of ability is very important in the battlefield because this only means that the lowest melee attack that can occur is 2 melee attack. A 2 melee attack is very important in the battlefield to create more damage. Also, on this level, this monster has 2 melee attack, 1 speed, and 13 lives. Its speed stays on its original speed which means that we cannot expect this card to evade any attack.

🤑 THE MARKET STATUS 🤑

In the past months, we saw declining price value of each card, including the price value of Tusk the Wide.

Currently, the lowest price of this card is $7.17. That is a very huge change because months ago, the price value of this card is more than $20. There are various reasons behind that huge change. But by looking at the current price of this card, we can say that it is just on its exact price considering its overall ability. On my opinion, this card has only high market value due to the type of card it is; the Gold Foil Card. But also, we cannot deny that fact that this card could have a big contribution to the battlefield.
