Years ago, an NFT game called Splinterlands was made and this makes the online world and gamers very excited. Splinterlands is an NFT game that produces Dark Energy Crystals (D.E.C.) and Splinterhards (SPS); the cryptocurrency being use in the game. Due to this incredible feature of the game, where players can earn money, many gamers got interested and many gamers waits for its updates.

Weeks ago, Splinterlands created one of their use game improvement and update on the game. This update changes the way we play and earn money on the game. So for this week's content, we are going to talk about the following updates:

  • The Daily Reward and Season Reward Updates
  • The Splinterlands' Homepage
  • The Market of Splinterlands

These are some of the updates made by Splinterlands on the past weeks. Sound exciting, right? So without further ado, let us discuss the Splinterlands Updates!

THE DAILY REWARD AND SEASON REWARD UPDATE

Months ago, in order to get daily rewards, the player must complete and win 5 times with the given condition. Its really challenging to accomplish that kind of task because you never know on how to combine and fit the given requirement to your line up. Even though it is challenging, many players enjoyed and benefitted on that kind of daily rewards.

The photo above is the new Daily Reward. Everyday, the challenge renew. You can also see above the features of the new Daily Reward. In order to get a chest, a players must collect a total of 390 Focus Points and that can be obtain by following the new criteria of pointing system in the game.

The photo above is the new criteria needed to meet in order to get Season Points (SP) and Focus Points (FP). By the way. Season Points are almost the same with Focus Points. The only difference between the two is that in order to get Season Points, there are no required challenge needed to complete to obtain SP.

Going back, the photo above shows that if you are using Starter Cards, there will be reward deductions and this depends on the number of starter cards you are using. To negate the reward deductions, players must satisfy the Reward Bonuses and there are certain percentages for every aspect of Reward Bonuses.

Due to this update, it is difficult to get SP and FP. But there are few techniques I notice that I think every player must focus on in order to obtain SP and FP. I suggested to reduce the use of starter cards as much as possible. We know that it is so expensive to buy powerful cards but using only the cards that we have, we can reduce the reward deduction even though the card that we have are not Gold, Alpha/Promo, or Beta. Buy or rent a cheap focus card (Focus Card means that card/s needed to complete the challenge) and use it on the battle. This strategy is effective in low mana fight. I highly suggest to buy cheap Summoner because that could help a lot on obtaining SP and FP.

THE SPLINTERLANDS' HOMEPAGE

Months ago, creators of Splinterlands started a big change on the game. The update happens in order for the players to have a more exciting gameplay.

As you can see above, There are now MODERN, WILD, CHALLENGE, PRACTICE, AND HOW TO PLAY.

MODERN. In Modern feature of Splinterlands, players are allowed to use only Chaos Legion, Dice, Untamed, Reward & Promo cards with an Untamed or Chaos Legion style frame. These are all newer edition of cards in the game. Having this limitation could add up to a more elevated challenge of the game. But this opens up to an easier battle to new players because most of the cards available in the market now are the mentioned edition. New players will not now consider the users of old edition a problem during the battle

WILD. In Wild feature, all edition of cards can be use in the battle. Which means that all the battle we are playing on the previous months, before the update, are the Wild feature of the game. Having a two kinds of battle is such a great idea because the Modern gives the risk taker players an opportunity to test their curiosity and risk taking ability during the battle (because they are so open for change). This also gives the new players their own space in the game. On the other hand, Wild feature gives the other players an opportunity to still play the game they used to. It gives old players their own space in the game and earns higher reward. Splinterlands made a very great idea about this two kinds of battle.

Here's a full list of all the changes contained in the upcoming Modern & Wild release:

  • Collection Power thresholds for Modern leagues are half of the current Collection Power requirements, which will remain unchanged for Wild leagues.
  • Your account will still have only a single Collection Power score, which is the sum of the Power of all individual cards in your collection. There will not be a separate Collection Power score for the two formats as far as league advancement is concerned (though as mentioned above, the thresholds for advancing will be different for each format).
  • There will be 2 DEC reward pools, of roughly equal size. One pool for Modern battles, and one pool for Wild battles, which operate independently of each other.
  • The same ECR is used for both Modern and Wild battles (so playing a battle in either format will drain your ECR as usual, there is no change to how this mechanic works).
  • A player’s season reward chest tier will be based on the maximum league achieved in the previous season between the Modern & Wild formats. Example: If a player reached Bronze II in Modern last season, but Silver III in Wild, then they will be able to earn Silver level chests in the current season.
  • A player’s Daily Focus chest tier will be based on the current best league between the Modern & Wild formats at the time the Daily Focus is started. Example: If a player is in Bronze II in Modern, and Silver III in Wild, and they start (or refresh) a Daily Focus, then the chest tier for the new Daily Focus will be Silver.
  • Reward Points earned in both Modern and Wild formats contribute to a player’s Daily Focus and Season Rewards (you just sum together the RP earned in each format).
  • In order to earn Reward Points, you must be at least Bronze III in either the Modern or Wild format. For example, you can be Novice in Wild and Bronze III in Modern, and then you will be able to earn rewards from Modern battles but not Wild battles.
  • There are separate leaderboard prizes for Modern and for Wild. Thus it is possible for a player to get high up the leaderboards for each and get two season prizes as a result (one for Modern and one for Wild).
  • Champion points earned at end-of-season will be the sum of champion points earned for Wild (if any) + champion points earned for Modern (if any).
  • The end-of-season rating reset will continue to work as it does now, with the reset applied separately to your Modern & Wild leagues.
  • Doctor Blight and Chain Golem will be moved to the Promo Edition. They count as Modern cards, and will give the standard +10% Promo reward bonus when used in battle. However their Collection Power values will remain the same.
  • Challenge and Practice battles will not support the Modern format at launch (we may add an option for this later). Thus all Challenge and Practice matches will be considered Wild battles.
    Likewise all Brawl matches will be considered Wild battles, at least initially, and no changes to Brawl functionality will be made as part of this launch. Support for the Modern format may be added to Brawl Frays at some later date, but plans for that are still TBD.
  • On all game screens that show player avatars, the avatar frame will be colored depending on the player’s highest current league between the Modern & Wild formats. Example: If a player is Bronze II in Modern but Silver III in Wild, then they will have the Silver avatar frame:

CHALLENGE. On this feature, players are allowed to challenge other players. They can schedule a fight. Players may also set their desired level limits and the allowed cards they want to use. This feature of Splinterlands let the players to do more interaction with other players. That is a great way to build connections and friendship in the game for a more healthy community in Splinerlands.

PRACTICE. This feature was already one of the feature of Splinterlands before the update. This feature let the players to practice their cards, moves, and strategy in the game. This let the players test the effectivity of their battle strategy in the game so that they can maintain win streak in the game.

HOW TO PLAY. This game feature was already in the game before the update but on the new update, the game information is more complete and detailed. On the new update, players are guided about the two kinds of cards in the game: The Summoners and The Monsters. They are also guided about the different types of cards, edition, and elements. The possible card positions were also explained and the abilities of the cards was also tackled. The parts of the cards was discussed.

THE MARKET OF SPLINTERLANDS

Splinterlands has its own marketplace where players can sell, buy, and rent cards. Price varies depending on the desired price of the seller. Same goes on renting. This is one of the beautiful thing on this game. You do not have to buy cards to play, you can definitely just rent cards to complete challenges and earn crypto. But due to new update, I think it is now harder to earn crypto in the game.

Even though it becomes more difficult to earn crypto, Splinterlands still manage to help old players, the buyers and the sellers, to monitor their ACTIVITY. On the photo above, you can notice that there is an icon/button named Activity. I do not know if that has been there since the beginning of the release of Splinterlands but I notice this just few days ago.

SO WHATS THE BIG DEAL ABOUT IT? Due to this, players will now have an easier way to access their sales in the game. Some players do not really play Splinterlands, they are just in Splinterlands to buy and sell cards. With that, they earn profits. With this new update, it is now easy to monitor the profit that can be get on selling the cards bought in the market. The player may just compare the previous selling price of the card to their desired selling price. Take note, you also need to consider the fee. There is 5% fee on all transactions.
