WEEKLY BATTLE: THE DEADLY SNEAK OF FIRE UNIT
HELLO, SPLINTERLANDS COMMUNITY !
Fire unit are one of the best melee attacker in the Splinterlands. They are also known for having a great defensive state. These two assets of fire unit are the reason why they are my favorite unit. Having a high melee attack is a great advantage in the game, especially when a monster has a very interesting ability to match it up.
Striker Tenyii is Rare Fire Monster and it is our featured card for the Weekly Battle Challenge of this week. For this week, here are the rules of the challenge.

So without further ado, let us start the battle!
THE LORE
A dozen generations sandwiched between the hammer of the Khans' cruelty and the anvil of the icy foothills of Kurguzd forged the Tenyii into reclusive deadly foes. Brought to the training creche from birth, taught to steal for food, beaten when caught and trained daily with the sword and spear as soon as they were strong enough for their hands to lift steel, the Tenyii clan were hard as iron and as fierce and silent as midnight on the mountain glacier.
When the Legion's heralds demanded a sacrifice of flesh and gold to open the rifts to the ways beyond, the Khan sent five hundred waadin berserkers to bring the tribe to heel. When a single horse returned bearing a sack of fifty skulls, the Khan threatened to burn the entire mountain to the ground. A dozen Tenyii Strikers were sent as tribute to spare the tribes and to satisfy the herald's call.
“Of my brood year I alone survived the agoge. Through my offering I took the oath and was bound by blood to serve at my masters side. When the Khan's men came they slew my master and took my sisters as slaves but those that survived swore that night they would not reach the valley road.
By twelve moonlit blades was our honor restored. By twelve blades were fifty heads taken, the rest thrown into the midden crevasse, the skulls returned as a sign. Losing one hand he offers the other, threatening us with fire. As a gift we offer those same twelve blades of which I am one.
We sail the void and cross the rift, biding our time and feigning service but there will be a reckoning. We shall have his head and the heads of all those who dared stir us from our mountain home.”

THE BATTLE LINE UP

TARSA. This card is a Fire Summoner and its ability is perfect for Tenyii Striker. I decide to use this summoner to elevate the melee attack and life of Tenyii Striker. Tenyii Striker needs to be elevated in terms of attack. And that is exactly what this summoner can give.
LIVING LAVA. I decided to position this monster as the tank for the battle due to its high defensive state and ability. This monster can surely resist lots of melee and range attacks. It can also create huge damage to the opponent. With that, it can definitely protect Tenyii Striker on vanishing early in the game.
GOBLIN FIREBALL. I decided to use this monster as a decoy in the game so that Tenyii Striker will have more time to use its ability, if ever the tank cannot handle the attacks anymore. Also, I decided to put range attacker on second position in order to still create damage towards the opponent.
TENYII STRIKER is a Rare Fire Monster with Sneak ability. Monsters with this kind of ability can attack the back position monster. Attacking starting form the back is such a great move because most of the players place their strongest monsters at the back so that they can maximize its power. This monster has 2 melee attacks, 2 speed, 6 lives. By looking at its overall power, we can say that this card is one to watch. The 2 melee attack is not that high but it is enough to eliminate the strongest card in the field. The speed is not that high which means it cannot really evade many attacks. In terms of lives, it is in average state. Even though its stats is not that super strong, there are summoners that can make this monster very powerful. And by combining it with its ability, it can pretty sure win the battle.
⚔️ THE BATTLE ⚔️
At the start of the battle, all monsters' stats was elevated by their own summoners. Tarsa increased the melee attack and life of my monsters and Obsidian increases the magic attack of the monsters of my opponent.
On the first round, One of the magic attackers makes the first move, making deductions on Living Lava. But Tenyii Striker is ready to get revenge and that eliminated the healer of the other team. The attack is successful due to higher speed that Tenyii Striker has compared to Goblin Psyhchic. The battle continues and that leaves my opponent only two cards left at the end of this round.
On the second round, the exchange of attacks continues. Tenyii Striker missed its second attack against the Regal Peryotn due to its high speed and ability. That is alarming because Sneak ability will not be put into use if Regal Peryton constantly avoids the attack. But Living Lava is ready to represent the team and make the team of the opponent with only 1 card left.
On the third and last round of this battle, my monsters are determined to win and they all make sure that all of their attacks will hit the last card standing of the opponent. And that gives us the victory!

DID YOUR STRATEGY WORK? Yes, my strategy works. At the lineup, I discussed that Living Lava will take all the attack, Goblin Fireball will serve as the decoy and will somehow contribute on taking damage, and Tenyii Striker will eliminate monsters from the back. And that is exactly what happen. Tenyii Striker eliminates first the healer and the one who has the highest magic attack in the game. That elimination of the healer is one of the reason of the downfall of my opponent.
What will you try differently next time? Next time, I will try to increase the speed of this monster. I think that increasing the sped of this monster will help it avoid attacks and survive longer.
Do you like TENYII STRIKER? Why or why not? Yes. I really love to use Tenyii Striker on every battle. Actually, it is my favorite card on the fire unit and that is because of its ability. Usually, I did not place this monster on the last position because it could be the target of other monster with Sneak ability. I only did it this time because of the mana limitation on this battle. So if ever you are planning to buy a card, I highly suggest to consider Tenyii Striker because it can help a lot on your game.
