WEEKLY CHALLENGE BATTLE: THE FIERY FIERCE BATTLE OF WATER DRAGON SPLINTERS

Today, we are going to do the WEEKLY BATTLE CHALLENGE. The theme for the week, is DRAGONS

Without further ado, let's get started with the battle.

THE BATTLE

The battlle is 24 mana cap with No Standard. Meaning, on this battle, we can choose any cards as long as the total mana cost of all cards are fitted on the designed mana cap.

For this battle, my strategy is to use the Water Splinters, specifically my KILLER TRIO, along with the Dragons. Water Splinters are the masters of speed and if we use the protection of the Dragon, we have a very high potential of winning the battle.

THE CARDS

For the Summoner, since I am just in Bronze III, I decided to use the DRAKE OF ARNAK.

This Summoner has the ability to increase the shield of all your monsters in the battle. Even though that is only 1 increase in the shield, still, it is very helpful because that can resist huge melee and range damage attack. As this card continue to level up, its ability to summon monsters are also increasing. By looking at the price of it in the market, it is pretty expensive.

Next, the monster that I choose to be the tank is the SERPENT OF ELD.

The SERPENT OF ELD is a Rare Water Splinter with Dodge ability. Monsters with this kind of ability has high chance of evading melee and range attacks. This card has also 3 melee attack, 4 speed, 2 shields, and 5 lives. By evaluating its overall characteristics, we can say that this monster has a very high chance of evading attack. We can also say that it is a very good tank and very fitted to be combined with the Dragon Summoner, DRAKE OF ARNAK. It is good with this summoner because increasing the shield of this monster, let it stays longer in the battle. By letting this monster being in the game for a long time, is a huge threat and can possibly wipe out all the monsters of the opponent.

For the Second Position, I choose the FLYING SQUID.

The Flying Squid is a Common Water Splinter with Reach ability. Monsters with this kind of ability attacks in the second position. This is a really great backup to any cards, especially to Serpent of Eld. This monster has also 2 melee attack, 3 speed, and 8 lives. Looking at the characteristics of this card, we can really say that it is a huge asset in the battle. This card is perfect with the Dragon Summoner, the Drake of Arnak, because giving this card a shield, will definitely help this card to last long in the field. Also, with its high life, this card could be the substitute tank.

For the Third and Last Position, I decided to use DEEPLURKER.

The DEEPLURKER is a Common Water Splinter with Opportunity ability. Monsters that has this kind of ability may attack from any position and it attacks the monsters with lowest health. Targetting the monsters with lowest health is a good strategy in the game because mostly, monsters with low health can do high damage and has higher speed. So eliminating those cards could be a good advantage. Also, this card has 3 melee attack, 2 speed, and 6 lives By looking at its characteristics, we can say that this card is a good card for battle. Placing it in the last position could be very helpful because surely, it can contain the attacks of the enemy. This card is perfect with the Dragon summoner, DRAKE OF ARNAK because giving it a shield may help it to live longer, so that it can use its ability to eliminate powerful cards.

THE FIGHT

ROUND 1:THE BATTLE EFFECTS

At the beginning of the battle, summoner's effect already take over. The DRAKE OF ARNAK increases all the defensive state of my monsters in the field. As a counter to that, the enemy, who uses Tarsa, takes over the effect. Now, both monsters have their own advatages in the game. But the question is, who can harness its advantage and use it to win?

At the end of the game, one of the monsters of my opponent was eliminated in the game. That monster is a huge asset for my opponent because it gives shield to the first position monster. Now, its three versus three.

ROUND 2:THE KILLER TRIO

For this round, the battle is intense because its a matter of who can contain or evade the attack. My opponent clearly struggles to evade the attacks of the killer trio due to their speed. At the end, no monster was eliminated.

ROUND 3:THE POWER OF SPEED

For round 3, the speed effect takes over the game. The exchange of attack continue while the evading ability of my monsters are taking over. The battle is hitting up. At the end only the two monsters from each sides left.

ROUND 4:THE BATTLE FOR POSITION

For this round, every monster performs well. The missed of attacks of my opponent continues while my attacks continue to hit the enemy, which leads to the elimination of one of my opponent's monster.

ROUND 5:THE CARDS WHO TAKES IT ALL

For round 5, the last one monster of my opponent continue to fight and my monsters continue to retaliate. At the end, my monsters win the fight and takes it all.

CONCLUSION

Overall, I think Dragon Summoners are a really great summoner. Also, I think that DRAKE OF ARNAK is a good summoner, but only in average level. I know that shields are important, but lets be honest, shield is not enough to win the battle. To win, we also need to have a huge damage to the monster's opponent and it will be good if that will be elevated by the summoner. Also, I think that its current price in the market, is not that worth it to buy. I do not mean to offend other players who loves this card, but lets be honest, there are other cards that has strong ability and stats compared to this card and by looking to their prices, it is very cheap. I am not downgrading this summoner because it is still an amazing card if it is used right by the player.
