The MODERN league accepts cards from the most recent collections, limiting the cards available to choose from. So, my recommendation for anyone starting out is to start with Modern, because as the number of cards is better, it's easier to choose and put together strategies, because there's not much to invent. Furthermore, cards from more recent collections are cheaper than the game's initial collections, which will help you if your objective is long-term construction.
There is a tip for skipping matches that few people know about. During matches, after choosing a team, you can go to the battle screen directly in "BATTLE" at the top of the screen. This way, you skip the animation, without having to click on "SKIP".
SNEAK ATTACK - LINEUP
In my favorite fire lineup, we focus on attacking the opponent's backline, while strengthening our tank to withstand the opponent's attacks, while destroying their backline. In the Modern league we have two solid tank options to use in this lineup, which will depend on what the opponent is most likely to play. It's not possible to be sure what your enemy will use, but by analyzing the rules and available elements you can get a good idea of what he will use.
If FIRE or DEATH is open, there is a good chance he will use something Melee, and if he has LIGHT, he should use RANGED, so you can use Antooid Platoon as a tank, because he will withstand physical damage well and as your mana cost is low, it will allow you to put more DPS.
If the element options are WATER or EARTH, the chances of him using magic monsters are very high, so the best choice in this situation is to use Tusk The Wide, since his VOID ability reduces magic damage by half. Assim, a minha recomendação para quem estiver começando é iniciar já pela Modern, porque como a quantidade de cartas é melhor, fica mais fácil de escolher e de montar estratégias, porque não tem muito o que inventar. Ainda, as cartas de coleções mais recentes são mais baratas do que as coleções inicias do jogo, o que vai te ajudar se o objetivo for uma construção a longo prazo.
Existe uma dica de skipar as partidas que pouca gente sabe. Durante as partidas dá para, depois de esoclher o time, ir para a tela de batalhas direto em "BATALHA" no topo da tela. Assim, você skipa a animação, sem precisar clicar em "SKIP".
SNEAK ATTACK - LINEUP
Na minha lineup favorita de fogo, focamos em atacar a backline do oponente, enquanto fortalecemos nosso tank para aguentar os ataques do oponente, enquanto acabamos com sua backline. A carta principal de toda Lineup é o SUMMONER que você escolhe para compor o seu time. Nessa lineup o summoner escolhido é a TARSA, uma summoner da coleção CHAOS LEGION. A TARSA é uma summoner de fogo de custo 4 de mana. Ela tem duas habilidade de extrema importância nessa lineup. A seu primeiro Buff é o +1 de ataque, que aumenta o ataque de todos os monstros melees, deixando os monstros Sneak ainda mais fortes. Já seu segundo buff é o +1 de HP que ajuda na defesa, porque os monstros Sneaks tem HP baixo.
Na liga Modern temos duas opções sólidas de tanks para usar nessa lineup, que vão depender do que o oponenete tem uma maior probabilidade de jogar. Não é possível ter certeza do que seu inimgio vai usar, mas analisando as regras e os elementos disponíveis dá para ter uma boa ideia do que ele vai usar.
Caso esteja aberto FOGO ou DEATH, tem grandes chances dele usar algo Melee, e se tiver LIGHT, ele deve usar RANGED, assim, você pode usar como tank o Antooid Platoon, porque ele vai aguentar bem os danos físicos e como seu custo de mana é baixo, dará para você colocar mais DPS.
Já se as opções de elementos forem ÁGUA ou TERRA, as chances dele usar monstros de magia é bem alta, então a melhor escolha nessa situação é usar o Tusk The Wide, já que sua habilidade VOID reduz pela metade o dano mágico. Ainda, se todos os elementos estiverem disponíveis a melhor opção continua sendo o TUSK, mas se a quantidade de mana for baixa é melhor usar o ANTOID PLATOON.
Além dos Tanks principais temos os possíveis SUB-TANKS, que são cartas que você vai colocar na segunda posição para quando o Tank cair. Se a partida tiver uma boa quantidade de mana, acima de 20 ou 30, você já pode começar a considerar usar o RADIATED BRUTE como sub-tank. Entretanto, se a mana disponível for baixa, então é melhor considerar usar o RADIATED SCORCHER, ou o Scorch Fiend.
No caso do SCORCH FIEND, além de usá-lo como sub-tank você pode usá-lo como proteção de backline e se possível como é custo 0 de mana procure usá-lo sempre. Assim, fica mais uma dica, sempre procure usar a maior quantidade possível de cartas na sua lineup para maximizar as suas chances de vitórias, porque elas podem dar um dano extra, ou defender de um ataque.
Agora, depois do summoner as cartas mais importantes nessa composição são os DPS SNEAK, as cartas que serão responsáveis por eliminar a backline inimiga. A primeira delas do elemento fogo é o TENYII STRIKER. Essa carta é incrível, além de possuir um alto DPS melee, também tem um grande HP, então você pode usá-la na terceria posição.
Por fim, tem a Carta que eu ainda estou indo atrás o Mordeus. Essa carta eu tenho sentido falta no lineup quando acabo ficando com uma mana extra em partidas de HIGH MANA. Estou esperando ela diminui um pouco o preço para comprar ela, porque ainda está cara. Afinal, pela coleção ser a mais recente e ser uma carta lendária, seu preço não caiu muito.
Oportunidades
Para aqueles que estão começando no SPLINTERLANDS e buscam construir o deck aos poucos, através da compra de cartas, atualmente temos diversas oportunidades. Existe cartas que estão na sua baixa histórica, como o TARSA no gráfico acima. Ou ainda, cartas que a sua versão gold está mais barata que a versão comum no nível 3. Então, vale a pena se você acredita que as cartas podem se valorizar no próximo bull run já começar a construção do próprio Deck. O benefício disso, é que você não precisará se preocupar em alugar as cartas e poderá ter uma valorização no preço das cartas. Como jogador e fan de jogos de cartar eu por exemplo gosto de ter as minhas cartas, porque sinto como se tivesse o baralho.
