SPLINTERLANDS: Choose your SIDE or ELEMENT! [ENG/PT-BR]

📌 RULESET 📌
Description:
The battlemage rule this week will be "Taking Sides", which as the name suggests, you need to choose an element and only use cards from it since the rule prohibits you from using neutral cards.
In this situation, it's a good idea to already have in mind which lineup you have that is strongest and doesn't use any neutral cards. When I saw that the match would be Taking Sides, I went straight to the Earth element, since I had my Fiend there and of course the options were limited.
The choice of Earth in itself is good because by removing neutral you still have many monsters that can match Obsidian, that is, the element has many wizards. I think one of the only times I use neutral with land is in high mana games, where I use the Spirit Hoarder combo with Mycelic Slipspawn. This is because Slipspawn pulls the enemies' attack to the backline, freeing the tank a little, while Spirit Hoarder heals him.
📌 MATCH📌
Description:
It was a medium mana match, in which several elements were unavailable. The choice was very restricted as we could only choose between two elements Earth or Light.
As it only had 24 mana, land was a more consistent option, because there isn't much to worry about. If it were Light, with General Sloan, he would use a tank to hold back the magic attacks, but as soon as the tank fell, the Archers would stop attacking in the position and there wouldn't be much protection for them since most of the mana would go to the Tank.
When choosing Unicorn Mustang + Queen Mycelia, Terra already has protection against everything that may come. The Tank holds back magical attacks, while Mycelia provides a shield to stop all allies.
What I didn't expect was for the opponent to use a Sneak strategy with Earth, since I personally only use Obsidian. A card he used wiped out my monsters in a simple way. Katrelba Gobson, due to Double Strike, managed to nullify the shield's defense and finished off one monster at a time. Think of an absurd monster, but the biggest problem is this BloodLust, where there comes a point where the monster becomes very strong and has nothing to do, it does 1 vs all.
⚔️ THE LINEUP ⚔️
Obsidian (SUMMONER)
Obsidian is the earth summoner from the Chaos Legion collection. When I use it, the strategy automatically becomes to place as many mages as possible, since its ability is to give +1 magical attack. This summoner is very strong precisely because the magical attack she buffs is the strongest type of attack in the game as it ignores armor.
Unicorn Mustang (TANK)
The best Earth element tank in my opinion is the Unircorn Mustang, it's a shame that it and all the Untamed cards will leave Modern when Rebellion arrives. The reason for its strength is that it has great speed (4), reduces damage taken by magic by half, has a lot of hp (10), and a good ATK (3). Which is interesting to counter if the opponent uses magic too.
Fungus Fiend (SubTank)
The idea here with Fungus is to take an extra hit if Mustang is defeated. Furthermore, with Queen Mycelia's extra shield, if the opponent uses Melee, he can withstand 2x hits.
Goblin Psychic (SUP)
The current support is Goblin Psychic. A very strong and complete card of the earth element, because when buffed it has 3 magic attack and at level 3, which is what I use, its low HP weakness (3) disappears, because it goes to 5. Furthermore, it still heals the tank. Have you ever seen a better letter?
Queen Mycelic (SUP)
The team's second supporter is Queen Mycelia. This card completes Unicorn Mustang perfectly, because it adds a Shield to protect it from melee attacks. Also, some cards with low HP gain this protection, which unfortunately against the opponent's double attack was not very effective ;-;
Khmer Princess (DPS)
This card has great magic DPS for the amount of mana required (2). Furthermore, with the +1 atk buff, your attack reaches 2 and gains 2 shields from mycelia.
👊 THE BATTLE 👊
ROUND 0
The battle always starts with buffs and debuffs. On my side, Queen mycelia applied +2 shield to all monsters and Obsidian added +1 to the magical attack of allies.
On the enemy side, his summoner reduced my team's speed, which doesn't have much effect since the Unicorn naturally has a high speed and the rest are not dependent on speed since the magic attack always hits regardless of speed of the monster. The only problem with that is that his Goblin will attack first, which complicated everything.
ROUND 1
The unicorn starts attacking the enemy Tank, leaving it with 1 HP. Then Gobson attacked my Princess twice and eliminated her, even though she had 2 shields, and already gained 1 stack, which complicated everything. Then Mycelia finished off the enemy tank.
The opposing Goblin Psychic attacked, dealing 1 damage to the Unicorn, which was then healed by my Goblin Psychic.
ROUND 3
Round 2 begins with Mustang almost eliminating the enemy tank, but he survived with 1 HP. Katrelba Gobson, who won the stake and had 3 attack, managed to eliminate the mycelia and stack once again. At that point he was already unstoppable.
Next, my Goblin Psychic didn't take advantage of its healing, since my tank had max HP, but it eliminated the Hill Giant. Without Queen Mycelia's protection, Gobson eliminated my Healer. Meanwhile, his Healer attacked and healed himself, giving him 4 HP, which will allow him to withstand another hit from Mustang.
ROUND 4/5
The round (4) arrived, with only 2 monsters on my side while the opponent had Katrelba Gobson super stacked, defeat is in sight.
The match begins, gobson eliminates the Fungus Fiend and deals 6 damage after stack +1, to the Unicorn Mustang. My tank even tries, but is unable to eliminate the Goblin Psychic, leaving it with 1 HP.
Round 5 arrives with Katrelba attacking Mustang and without much HP, he is eliminated. :/
🤔 CONCLUSION 🤔
This rule is very interesting because it leads you to choose the element that is very strong on its own, without the need to use it as neutral.
In the middle of the battle, when the opponent's globine began to pile up, bloodlust had nothing left to do. This ability is very strong, because it increases all statuses by 1, reaching the point of a solar doll the entire opponent's time, which is what happened in this match, the opponent only gained time for the bloodlust stacks.
I think if I hadn't lost Queen Mycelia so early, the Goblin medium would have survived a little longer, would have tanked an attack from Gobson and maybe the match would have been different. Here's a reminder for the next game, the position of the monsters matters and be careful with sneak attacks.

A regra do battlemage essa semana será a "Taking Sides", que como o próprio nome sugere, você precisa escolher um elemento e usar apenas cartas dele já que a regra te proibe usar cartas neutras.
Nessa situação é bom você já ter em mente qual lineup você tem de mais forte que não use nenhuma carta neutra. Quando eu vi que a partida seria Taking Sides, eu fui direto no elemento Terra, já que nele eu possuia o meu Fiend e claro as opções eram limitadas.
A escolha de Terra por si só, é boa porque tira o neutro você ainda tem muitos monstros que combam com a Obsidian, ou seja, o elemento tem muitos magos. Acho que um dos únicos momentos que uso neutro com terra são em partidas de mana alta, em que euuso o combo Spirit Hoarder com Mycelic Slipspawn. Isso porque o Slipspawn puxa o ataque dos inimigos para a backline, livrando um pouco o tank, enquanto o Spirit Hoarder cura ele.
📌 PARTIDA 📌
Descrição:
Foi uma partida de mana média, em que vários elementos estavam indisponíveis. A escolha ficou bem restrita já que só poderiamos escolher entre dois elementos Terra ou Light.
Como tinha apenas 24 de mana, terra era uma opção mais consistente, porque não tem muito o que se preocupar. Se fosse Light, com General Sloan, usaria um tank para segurar os ataques de magia, mas assim que o tank caísse, os Arqueiros iam parar de atacar na posição e não teria muita proteção para eles já que a maior parte da mana firia para o Tank.
Já Terra ao escolher Unicorn Mustang + Queen Mycelia você já tem proteção contra tudo que possa vir. O Tank segura os ataques mágicos, enquanto a Mycelia fornece escudo parar todos os aliados.
O que eu não esperava era o oponente usar uma estratégia de Sneak com Terra, já que eu particularmente só uso a Obsidian. Uma carta que ele usou acabou com os meus monstros de forma simples. Katrelba Gobson por conta do Double Strike conseguiu anular a defesa do shield e foi acabando com um monstro por vez. Pensa num monstro absurdo, mas o maior problema é esse BloodLust, que chega um ponto que o monstro fica muito forte e não tem o que fazer, ele faz 1 vs todos.
⚔️ A LINEUP ⚔️
Obsidian (SUMMONER)
Obsidian é a summoner de terra da coleção Chaos Legion. Qaundo eu uso ela, automaticamente a estratégia se torna em colocar o maior número possível de amagos, já que a habilidade dela é dar +1 de ataque mágico. Essa summoner é muito forte justamente por que o ataque mágico que ela buffa é o tipo de ataque mais forte do jogo já que ignora armadura.
Unicorn Mustang (TANK)
O melhor tank do elemento Terra na minha opinião é o Unircorn Mustang, pena que ele e todas as cartas Untamed vão sair do Modern quando Rebellion chegar. O motivo de sua força é que ele tem grande velocidade (4), reduz o dano sofrido por magia pela metade, tem bastante hp (10), e um bom ATK (3). O que é interessante para counterar se o oponente usar magia também.
Fungus Fiend (SubTank)
A ideia aqui com o Fungus é de aguentar um hit extra caso o Mustang venha a ser derrotado. Ainda, com o shield extra da Queen Mycelia, se oponente usar Melee, ele consegue aguentar 2x hit.
Goblin Psychic (SUP)
O suporte da vez é o Goblin Psychic. Uma carta bem forte e completa do elemento terra, porque buffado fica com 3 de ataque mágico e no nível 3, que é o que eu uso a sua fraqueza de HP baixo (3) desaparece, porque vai para 5. Além disso tudo, ele ainda cura o tank. Já viu carta melhor?
Queen Mycelic (SUP)
A segunda supporte do time é a Queen Mycelia. Essa carta completa o Unicorn Mustang de forma perfeita, porque adiciona um Escudo para protegê-lo de ataques melees. Ainda, algumas cartas com pouco HP ganha essa proteção, que infelizmente contra o ataque duplo do oponente foi pouco efetivo ;-;
Khmer Princess (DPS)
Essa carta tem um ótimo DPS mágico pela quantidade de mana necessária (2). Ainda, com o buff de +1 de atk, seu ataque chega em 2 e ganha 2 shields da mycelia.
👊 A BATALHA 👊
ROUND 0
A batalha começa sempre com os buffs e debuffs. Do meu lado, Queen mycelia aplicou o +2 de shield a todos os monstros e a Obsidian acrescentou em +1 o Ataque mágico dos aliados.
Já do lado inimigo o summoner dele reduziu a velocidade do meu time, o que não tem muito efeito já que o Unicorn naturalmente tem um speed alto e os restante não é dependente de speed já que o Ataque mágico sempre acerta independente da velocidade do monstro. O único problema disso é que o Goblin dele vai atacar antes, o que complicou tudo.
ROUND 1
O unicorn começa atancando o Tank inimigo, deixando-o com 1 de HP. Em seguida o Gobson atacou duas vezes a minha Princess e a eliminou, mesmo tendo 2 de shield, e já ganhou 1 stack, o que complicou tudo. Depois a Mycelia finalizou o tank inimigo.
O Goblin Psychic oponente atacou, deu 1 de dano no Unicorn, que logo foi curado pelo meu Goblin Psychic.
ROUND 3
O round 2 começa com o Mustang quase eliminando o tank inimigo, mas ele sobreviveu com 1 de HP. A Katrelba Gobson que ganhou o stake e ficou com 3 de ataque conseguiu eliminar a mycelia e stackar mais uma vez. Nesse ponto já estava imparável.
Em seguida o meu Goblin Psychic não aproveitou da sua cura, já que o meu tank estava max HP, mas eliminou o Hill Giant. Sem a proteção da Queen Mycelia, Gobson eliminou meu Healer. Enquanto isso, o Healer dele atacou e se curou ficando cm 4 de HP o que vai fazer ele aguentar mais um hit do Mustang.
ROUND 4/5
O penúltimo round (4) chegou, com apenas 2 monstros do meu lado enquanto o oponente estava com A Katrelba Gobson super stackada, a derrota está a vista.
A partida começa, gobson elimina o Fungus Fiend e causa 6 de dano depois de stack +1, no Unicorn Mustang. O meu tank até tenta, mas não consegue eliminar o Goblin Psychic deixando com 1 de HP.
O Round 5 chega com a Katrelba atacando o Mustang e sem muito HP, ele é eliminado. :/
🤔 CONCLUSÃO 🤔
Essa regra é bem interessante porque te leva a escolher o elemento que sozinho seja muito forte, sem necessidade de usar as neutrais.
No meio da batalha quando o globin do oponente começou a stackar o bloodlust já não tinha mais o que fazer. Essa habilidade é muito forte, porque aumenta em 1 todos os status, chegando ao ponto de um boneco solar o time oponente inteiro, que foi o que aconteceu nessa partida, o oponente só ganhou tempo para os stacks do bloodlust.
Acho que se eu não tivesse perdido a Queen Mycelia tão cedo, o Goblin psychic teria sobrevivido um pouco mais, teria tankado um ataque da Gobson e talvez a partida teria sido diferente. Fica esse lembrete para a próxima partida, a posição dos monstros importa e cuidado com ataques sneak.
