Splinterlands - Opening 4 Glint Chests & Gladius Pack, Winning an Epic Gladiator & an Intense Battle with Interesting Modifiers

Hello everyone,
How are you all? I hope everyone is fine and doing great in their life.

Today, I have some very interesting stuff to share from Splinterlands.

I did not open a Foundation chest today, which is something I usually do quite often. So instead, I decided to open a different type of chest because the season rewards were already distributed.

Yesterday, I went to the Glint store to check what was available. I don’t have a much Glint balance, but as you can see in the screenshot below, I had 10,000 Glint, and I planned to spend at least half of it today.

image.png

The first thing I decided to spend on, as usual, was buying merit points. We can buy a maximum of 10 merits at the lowest value, which is 200 Glint per 200 merits, as shown in the screenshot below. So I spent 2,000 Glint on that and got 2000 merits.

After that, I tried my luck with the minor chests. Many of my friends and other Splinterlands players had warned me not to open minor chests because it is pure gambling. But still, I decided to try my luck and bought four of them. So another 2,000 Glint was spent on minor chests, as you can see in the screenshot below.

Those four chests were ready to be opened, and honestly, I didn’t have any expectations. I already felt like they might disappoint me.

In the screenshot below, you can see that I received very ordinary rewards. I got one energy point, one entry to the weekly draw, a common card, and an Ironwing Juggernaut, which I already own. So overall, I was not very happy with the rewards but it’s okay, I was just trying my luck.

After that, I moved to the section where I could buy a Gladius case. As shown in the screenshot below, I had 3,000 merits, so I was able to buy one Gladius case and that’s exactly what I did.

image.png

Finally, I headed over to the Mana Well because I couldn’t resist opening my second Gladius case. In my first Gladius case, I got a legendary card, and that moment was truly special for me. It was my first-ever Gladius pack opening, and getting a legendary card made it unforgettable.

image.png

This time, as shown in the screenshot below, the cards were ready to be revealed, and I was excited. I wasn’t expecting another legendary card because I already used up my luck last time, haha.

image.png

In the screenshot below, you can see all the cards I won today. Surprisingly, I got an epic card! Not a legendary, but an epic is still something to celebrate. I also got a rare card.

image.png

The epic card comes with two abilities. As you can see, it has Bloodlust, which is a common ability in many Gladius cards. It also has the Heal ability, which means it restores one-third of its max health each round (rounded down).

I also got a rare card, though it doesn’t come with any special ability, and a common card with Swiftness, which gives +1 speed to all allied units.

So overall, I am happy with the rewards from the Gladius pack.

Now let me share a battle with all of you. It was an amazing and long battle, with multiple rounds, a total of 8 rounds so it was really interesting to watch.

You can see the lineup below. It was a Water vs Earth battle, where my opponent chose Earth, and I went with Water.

image.png

In the screenshot below, around round 3, the battle came down to 5 vs 5. Earlier it was 6 vs 6, but the battle was progressing slowly because of the “Born Again” battle modifier, which made the match last longer.

image.png

In the screenshot, which is round 5, it was 3 vs 3. The number of units remained equal, but I already had a sense that the victory would be mine.

image.png

Finally, in the last screenshot, which is round 8, the battle ended at 3 vs 1. I still had two legendary monsters alive, Mystic Scaleweaver and Alan Musketeer and so the victory was clearly in my favor.

image.png

So yes, it was a great day in Splinterlands. I am happy with both the pack openings and the battle.

I am planning to open more different types of packs soon, so stay tuned for upcoming blogs.

That’s all from Splinterlands today.

Now as usual in the screenshot above you can see my terracore base attacks that I just used today. We on massive more than 2300 scraps with just 6 attacks and in one of the attacks alone we won close to 600 scraps. It was one of the best for me in the game so I am happy.

That's all for today, Thank You.
