Hello Everyone! Hope you all are doing amazing and welcome to another #Splinterlands post.
Today was honestly one of those matches that stays in your mind even after its over. I played a very intense battle in Splinterlands, and even tho I lost, it was super close and kinda exciting at the same time. The match went all the way to round 9, which doesnβt happen very often for me. At the end I was like, bro I almost had it.

So when the match started, I looked at both lineups and I felt pretty decent about my chances. My team was balanced, not too aggressive but also not weak. I had a good tank and some damage dealers behind.
My opponent on the other hand yeah they looked strong too. Not crazy OP but definitely well planned. I kinda had a feeling this wonβt be an easy win.
You know those matches where from the start you feel tension? yeah this was one of them.

The first few rounds were very equal. No one was dominating. My tank was holding nicely and I was dealing okay damage too.
But I noticed something small, my opponentβs cards had better synergy. Their abilities were kinda working together more smoothly than mine.
Still, nothing too scary yet. I was like ok this is still winnable.
By round 4 and 5, both sides started losing units. Health bars were dropping fast. My backline started getting targeted and I kinda didnβt expect that.
One mistake I think I made here was positioning. Maybe if I placed some cards differently, I could have survived longer. But too late for that now.
At this point, the match was like 50/50. Anyone could win.

The last rounds were stressful.
By round 6, I already lost some key cards. But I was still in the game. I had a few strong units left and I thought maybe I can clutch this.
Round 7 and 8 were basically survival mode for me. I was hoping for lucky hits or maybe opponent misses. Sometimes that happens, but not this time sadly.
Then comes round 9.
Last moment. Final fight.
It was down to very few cards on both sides. Like literally anyone could win here.
But yeah, my opponentβs last unit was just slightly stronger or better positioned. They finished me off.
And thatβs it. I lost.
Not gonna lie, that one hurt a bit.

After thinking about the match, I realized a few things:
My team synergy was not perfect
I didnβt fully predict opponent strategy
My positioning could be better
Maybe I focused a bit too much on attack instead of balance
Also, I feel like I should try different combinations more often. I kinda use similar setups again and again which might be predictable.
Even tho I lost, this match actually helped me improve. These kind of close battles teach way more than easy wins.
Now I understand:
Long battles need sustain + strategy, not just damage
Small decisions (like positioning) matter A LOT
Always expect unexpected from opponent

So yeah, today I lost, but it was a good loss if that makes sense.
It was intense, stressful, and kinda fun at the same time. My heart was literally beating fast in last rounds π
Next time if I get a similar situation, I think Iβll do better. Atleast now I know where I messed up.
Letβs see what happens tomorrow, hopefully a win this time.
Anyway, that was my grind today. Please do give your reviews in the comments section below. I would really appreciate it :)
I'll be back with another one soon. So do follow me if you want to stay updated. Till then, Stay Happy and Stay Hydrated.

That was really close warrior mate,I watched it for like three times. You are right about trying to change your deck selection and positioning.Because some players are really good at predicting their opponents,by taking a peep into their last six battles.Anyway, the beauty about splinterlands game is,win or lose, there is always something to learn and it is Peace βοΈ and love.
