Hello hivers! I hope you are very well today 😄✌️
Last week I didn't have a chance to do the art for the weekly Splinterlands contest, so this week I started working on it very early and I was able to finish this character who may be loved by some and hated by others lol.

La semana pasada no tuve oportunidad para hacer el arte del concurso semanal de Splinterlands, así que esta semana me puse a trabajar en ello desde muy temprano y pude terminar este personaje que quizás sea amados por unos y odiado por otros jajaja.

I really didn't know if it was going to work out well at first, but I did like the end result. This time I didn't use the sculpt tool, first I modeled the cape starting from the neck using circles for the arms as well, and joining them according to the most comfortable shape for the mesh.


La verdad no sabia si me iba a salir bien al principio, pero si me gusto el resultado final. Esta vez no utilicé la herramienta de escultura, primero modelé la capa a partir del cuello utilizando círculos para los brazos también, y uniéndolos según la forma mas cómoda para la malla.


I then started working on the materials for the cape, and then modeled a hand, which I then duplicated to mirror the other side.


Luego comencé a trabajar con los materiales para la capa, y después modelé una mano, la cual luego dupliqué esta para ponerla en espejo del otro lado.

When I was done with the hand, I started making the staff and also assigned the materials to it along with a noise texture along with a ramp color node, to give it the appearance of wood.


Cuando termine con la mano, empecé hacer el bastón y también le asigné los materiales junto con una textura noise junto con un nodo de color ramp, para dar la apariencia de madera.

Finally, I worked on the face and the hair particles, which were the ones that gave a good touch to the resemblance to the original character.


por ultimo trabajé en las cara y las partículas de cabello las cuales fueron las que le dieron un buen toque al parecido con el personaje original.


Other things I worked on but forgot to do screenshots were the lighting for the staff sphere, the fire simulation and the volumetric cloud where Alric is standing.
Well friends, this was the art of this week, I hope you like it. As always I leave other renders here at the end along with the original art.


Otras cosas en las que trabajé pero olvide hacer capturas, fue la luz para la esfera del bastón, la simulación de fuego y la nube volumetrica donde esta parado Alric.

Ahh my favourite summoner (because water splinter is my favourite, not that I've played for ages XD). Your version looks so much less cantankerous XD

I hate this Alric Stormbringer when he's on the opponents' side. I would love him to command my team though. 😁
