Tragédia e Escuridão / Tragedy and Darkness

You know that phrase that says "no matter how bad things are, there's always someone who's worse"? The lore of Mimosa Nightshade, seems to take this very seriously…

Sabe aquela frase que diz "por mais que as coisas estejam ruins, tem sempre alguém que tá pior"?
A lore de Mimosa Nightshade, parece levar isso bem a sério…

As a child, she watched her parents get vaporized in front of her!
Alone, she had to find a way to eat… And she decided to beg!
Soon, he discovered his mind manipulation powers, and began to enrich himself.

Quando era criança, ela viu seus pais serem vaporizados na frente dela!
Sozinha, teve que arrumar um jeito para comer… E decidiu mendigar!

Of course, there are more details… But it all boils down to this: a young woman who never knew what it was to be happy, and who has now become one of the most dangerous witches in Splinterlands!

Claro, existem mais detalhes… Mas tudo se resume a isso: uma jovem que nunca soube o que é ser feliz, e que agora se tornou uma das bruxas mais perigosas de Splinterlands!

Vai encarar?! / Will you face it?!

It's easy to find characters with "few friends" in today's games.
But this one really has few of them… And you can see why when you look at what this card is capable of!

É fácil encontrar personagens com "cara de poucos amigos" em games da atualidade.
Mas essa realmente tem poucos deles… E você percebe o motivo quando observa o que essa carta é capaz de fazer!

For starters, she has an ability that decreases the ranged attack of all opponent's cards by -1. That is: "cancels" the buff of summoners like General Sloan and Selenia Sky.

Pra começar, ela possui uma habilidade que diminui o ataque ranged de todas as cartas do oponente em -1. Ou seja: "cancela" o buff de summoners como General Sloan e Selenia Sky.

Mimosa Nightshade still has two more skills… And that's where things get a lot more complicated for the opponent… In one of these skills, the "dark darling" adds "Void" to all the team's cards! Yes… All her cards gain magic resistance (can reduce magic damage received by up to 100%)!

Mimosa Nightshade ainda possui mais duas skills… E é aí que as coisas ficam bem mais complicadas para o adversário…
Em uma dessas habilidades, a "queridinha das trevas" acrescenta "Void" a todas as cartas do time! Sim… Todas as cartas dela, ganham resistência mágica (podendo reduzir o dano mágico recebido em até 100%)!

To make it even more annoying, she adds "Affliction" to all summoned cards, preventing the attacked opposing card from healing!
But there's a catch: this ability, on cards like Serpentine Mystic, has a good chance of not being activated, even if the summoned monster hits the attack. However, the cards summoned by Mimosa Nightshade, activate this debuff on the opponent, EVEN IF THEY MISS THE ATTACK! That is: cards under the command of Mimosa, become strong threats against cards like Cornealus and Kron. A simple card with "Sneak" or "Snipe", can complicate the game for opponents like that!

Pra ficar ainda mais irritante, ela acrescenta "Affliction" a todas as cartas invocadas, impedindo que a carta adversária atacada se cure!
Mas tem um detalhe: essa habilidade, em cartas como Serpentine Mystic, possui uma boa chance de não ser ativada, mesmo que o monstro invocado acerte o ataque. Porém, as cartas invocadas por Mimosa Nightshade, ativam esse debuff no adversário, MESMO SE ERRAREM O ATAQUE!
Ou seja: cartas sob o comando da Mimosa, se tornam fortes ameaças contra cartas como Cornealus e Kron. Uma simples carta com "Sneak" ou "Snipe", pode complicar o jogo pra adversários assim!

And finally: the death splinter summoner is legendary. That means she can summon cards up to level 3, even though she's at level 1!

E pra finalizar: a invocadora do splinter morte, é lendária. Isso significa que ela pode invocar cartas até o nível 3, mesmo ela estando no nível 1!

Thanks to the developers, she spends 7 mana casting, to enter a duel… Imagine if she could appear more often in the arena…

Graças aos desenvolvedores que ela gasta 7 de mana casting, pra entrar em um duelo…
Imagina se ela pudesse aparecer mais vezes na arena…

Condições de batalha, e line-up

Mimosa Nightshade is one of my favorite summoners in Splinterlands. The biggest threat to her are monsters with melee damage… But wait… What melee monster?

Mimosa Nightshade é uma das summoners que eu mais gosto em Splinterlands.
A maior ameaça pra ela, são os monstros com dano melee…
Mas espera… Que monstro melee?

And this is where the "little princess of darkness" starts to shine: without her biggest opponents in battle, stopping her invocations becomes very difficult…

E é aqui, que a "princesinha das trevas", começa a brilhar: sem seus maiores adversários na batalha, parar invocações dela, fica muito difícil…

With all the splinters active, but without the possibility of using cards with melee damage and without being able to use armor, it was not difficult at all to make my choice:

Com todos os splinters ativos, mas sem a possibilidade de utilizar cartas com dano melee e sem poder utilizar armaduras, não foi nem um pouco difícil fazer minha escolha:

Mimosa Nightshade

Think: without melee damage, what's left? "Shooters" and "mages", right? If so, then the problem is solved: Mimosa Nightshade against all of them!

Pense: sem dano melee, o que sobra? Atiradores e "magos", certo?
Sendo assim, então o problema tá resolvido: Mimosa Nightshade contra todos eles!

No opponent's "attacker" card would make it through this battle without a good "nerf"!

Nenhuma carta "atacante" do adversário, iria passar por essa batalha sem um bom "nerf"!

Shadowy Presence

With the "Void" skill granted by Mimosa and only 1 mana casting with 4 HP, I wouldn't have a better option (from cards that I rented) to do the tank function.

Com a habilidade "Void" concedida pela Mimosa e apenas 1 de mana casting com 4 HP, eu não teria uma opção melhor (das cartas que eu aluguei) pra fazer a função de tank.

I decided to put this card in the front, to receive the first attacks of the opposing team.

Decidi colocar essa carta na frente, pra receber os primeiros ataques do time adversário.

Phantom Soldier

Since I knew the Shadowy card wouldn't take long to fall down, I needed a card to be our true tank.

Como eu sabia que a carta Shadowy não demoraria muito pra cair, eu precisava de uma carta para ser nosso verdadeiro tank.

The Phantom Soldier can be an option because of the good amount of HP, and the "Fly" skill. So with Mimosa buff, he can withstand various attacks, whether physical or magical.

O Phantom Soldier pode ser uma opção por conta da boa quantidade de HP, e a habilidade "Fly". Então, com o buff da Mimosa, ele pode aguentar vários ataques, sejam físicos ou mágicos.

Also, I needed magic damage on the team, in case the opponent reduced my ranged damage with some card like Contessa L'ament.

Além disso, eu precisava de dano mágico no time, caso o adversário diminuísse meu dano à distância com alguma carta como a Contessa L'ament.

Life Sapper

I knew that the opponent probably wouldn't have any cards with "Void" (which would nullify the power of my Life Sapper level 1).
So, believing that he would gain some time by absorbing part of the opponent's HP with the "Leech Life" skill, I placed the Life Sapper in the third position.

Eu sabia que provavelmente o adversário não teria alguma carta com "Void" (o que anularia o poder do meu Life Sapper nível 1).
Então, acreditando que ele ganharia algum tempo absorvendo parte HP adversário com a habilidade "Leech Life", eu coloquei o Life Sapper na terceira posição.

If the Phantom Soldier fell, this card would already have enough HP to assume the tank position.

Caso o Phantom Soldier caísse, essa carta já teria HP suficiente pra assumir a posição de tank.

Magi Necrosi

This is currently one of my favorite splinter death cards.
In addition to having good magic damage and good speed, Magi Necrosi has two very important skills for battles like this: "Snipe" and "Camouflage".

Essa, é atualmente, uma das cartas que eu mais gosto do splinter morte.
Além de ter um bom dano mágico e uma boa velocidade, Magi Necrosi possui duas habilidades muito importantes pra batalhas assim: "Snipe" e "Camouflage".

Don't understand yet? So here we go: without melee, this card always aims at the opponent's second card, even if it doesn't have any type of attack (like Shadowy). So, if the opponent has a healer or "off tank", he will start taking magic damage from the first round, due to the sniper aim of the Magi Necrosi.

Não entendeu ainda? Então vamos lá:
sem melee, essa carta mira sempre na segunda carta do oponente, mesmo que ela não possua nenhum tipo de ataque (como a Shadowy).
Então, se o oponente tiver algum healer ou "off tank", ele vai começar a tomar dano mágico desde a primeira rodada, por conta da mira de sniper do Magi Necrosi.

The "Camouflage" ability, on the other hand, prevents any card from aiming at it. "Opportunist"? "Sniper"? "Sneak"? It doesn't matter: this card can only be attacked when it reaches first position!

Já a habilidade "Camouflage", impede que qualquer carta mire nela.
"Oportunista"? "Sniper"? "Sneak"? Não importa: essa carta só pode ser atacada quando chega na primeira posição!

Twisted Jester

Since we have a "Sniper", how about we put two?

Já que temos um "Sniper", que tal colocarmos dois?

This card has the same "Sniper" ability as Magi Necrosi, but with the difference that it is ranged. In this case, I had two ideas: the first, was that if the opponent reduced the damage of one of my two "snipers", he probably wouldn't be able to reduce the damage of the other (at least, that's what I thought, looking at the last lines-ups from him).
In my second idea, I wanted Twisted Jester to help Magi Necrosi take down the second position cards more quickly.

Essa carta possui a mesma habilidade "Sniper" do Magi Necrosi, mas com a diferença de ser ranged.
Nesse caso, tive duas ideias: a primeira, era que se o adversário diminuísse o dano de um dos meus dois "snipers", provavelmente não conseguiria diminuir o dano do outro (pelo menos, era o que eu achava, olhando as últimas line-ups dele).
Na minha segunda ideia, eu queria que o Twisted Jester ajudasse o Magi Necrosi a derrubar as cartas da segunda posição mais rapidamente.

My concern would be for the opponent to put armor on his cards (which would block the Jester's attacks)... But the field effect wouldn't let that happen. So, here was my first card with ranged damage.
And here's a tip: avoid using cards of only one type of attack! The opponent can give you a very frustrating counter.

Minha preocupação, seria o adversário colocar armadura nas cartas dele (o que bloquearia os ataques do Jester)... Mas o efeito de campo, não deixaria isso acontecer.
Então, aqui estava minha primeira carta com dano ranged.
E aqui vai uma dica: evite utilizar cartas de apenas um tipo de ataque! O adversário pode te dar um counter bem frustrante.

But there was one more reason for me to choose this card: it was an alpha edition! So if I won, I'd get a few more DECs for that.

Mas teve mais um motivo pra eu escolher essa carta: ela era edição alpha!
Então, se eu vencesse, conseguiria alguns DECs a mais por isso.

Dhampir Stalker

I confess: I only wanted the damage of this letter.
As the cards that were aiming at the opponent's tank only had magic damage, I needed at least one card with ranged damage, to ensure that the opponent wouldn't take the hits for too long.
As I said: avoid only one type of attack!

Confesso: eu só queria o dano dessa carta.
Como as cartas que estavam mirando no tank adversário só possuíam dano mágico, eu precisava de pelo menos uma carta com dano ranged, pra garantir que o oponente não iria aguentar os golpes por muito tempo.
Como eu disse: evite apenas um tipo de ataque!

But there's another reason that makes this card great for this type of battle (and that reason, I didn't realize when I chose it): whatever the opponent, Dhampir Stalker never misses the target, thanks to the "True Strike" skill.

Mas tem um outro motivo que faz essa carta ser ótima pra esse tipo de batalha (e esse motivo, eu não tinha percebido na hora em que escolhi ela): seja qual for o adversário, Dhampir Stalker jamais erra o alvo, graças à habilidade "True Strike".

Without some of the possible "Sneaks" that usually appear on the enemy team, I put this card for last.

Sem alguns dos prováveis "Sneaks" que costumam aparecer no time inimigo, coloquei essa carta por último.

Batalha e considerações finais

Everything went as planned! Well… Almost everything. After all, I expected the opponent to place at least one shooter, but he opted for magic damage only, under the command of Obsdian.

Tudo ocorreu como o planejado! Bem… Quase tudo. Afinal, eu esperava que o adversário colocasse pelo menos um atirador, mas ele optou só por dano mágico, sob o comando da Obsdian.

But overall, my line-up was well prepared to face the opponent.
The "Affliction" ability granted by Mimosa to the entire team, prevented Goblin Psychic could heal any card that reached first place.

Mas no geral, minha line-up estava bem preparada pra enfrentar o adversário.
A habilidade "Affliction" concedida pela Mimosa ao time inteiro, impediu que o Goblin Psychic conseguisse curar qualquer carta que chegasse na primeira posição.

The two snipers also smothered the opponent's ground line-up.

Os dois snipers, também sufocaram a line-up de terra do adversário.

In short: comfortable victory, without major problems or scares.

Em resumo: vitória confortável, sem grandes problemas ou sustos.
