12 Epic Draws That Changed My Splinterlands Lineup

avatar

Hey Splinterlands warriors,

Sometimes the hardest thing in Splinterlands isn’t winning battles… it’s resisting the urge to blow all your Glint in one go.
And yeah—I completely failed at that.

Last season, I told myself I’d save up my Glint. Fast forward to now, and somehow I’m sitting on 180k Glint. The kind of number that just begs you to open the shop every five minutes.

What makes it worse? There are still about 8 days left in the season. Technically, I could’ve stacked even more.
But let’s be real—every Splinterlands player hits that moment where curiosity hits harder than patience.

And this time, my target was crystal clear:
Epic Draw.

I’ve been working on building up my epic reward card collection for Modern battles. Some of my cards were already close to juicy upgrades, so I figured… yeah, it’s hunting time.

No hesitation—I jumped straight into the shop and popped 12 Epic Draws.

Let’s be honest, Epic Draw just hits different.
Not as common as Common or Rare pulls, but every single card feels impactful. Like, this one card might actually change your lineup kind of vibe.

And the moment the opening animation starts…
yep, the adrenaline kicks in.

One by one, the cards revealed themselves.

And the results?
Pretty interesting.

Out of all the pulls, Wailsworn Specter showed up the most.

Alongside it, I also got:

  • Kazira Vaelstrik
  • Voss
  • Tandi Janda
  • Joraki Venshiro

But yeah… no gold cards this time.

And honestly? That’s on me. I either forgot—or let’s admit it, was too stingy—to tick the gold potion box.

Classic gamer move:
Want top-tier luck… but still trying to save resources.

Instant Upgrades That Hit Different

Even without gold cards, this session felt rewarding because I could upgrade several units right away.

The highlight for me? Voss.

I only pulled one copy, but turns out I already had enough to level him up.
And boom—he unlocked Void.

Now that’s spicy.

With Void, he becomes way more durable against magic comps. In certain metas, that ability alone can make opponents miserable.

Next up, Kazira Vaelstrik also climbed to level 2.

No new ability yet, but the stat boost is noticeable. Sitting at 3 ranged attack, she’s starting to look seriously threatening.

Sometimes +1 damage doesn’t seem like much…
until it starts deleting enemies faster than expected.

And of course, the MVP of this session: Wailsworn Specter.

Since I pulled multiple copies, it also reached level 2.

And here’s where things get fun—it unlocked Amplify.

This ability is nasty when paired with reflect strategies. Magic Reflect, Return Fire—anything like that becomes way more punishing.

Enemies don’t just attack… they regret attacking.

I still need a few more copies to hit level 3, but now the potential is crystal clear.

Final Thoughts

So, was it worth it?

Yeah… not perfect, but definitely satisfying.

No gold cards, sure.
But the upgrades I got? Super impactful for upcoming battles.

Right now, I’m rolling with:

  • Voss with Void
  • Kazira Vaelstrik hitting harder
  • Wailsworn Specter with Amplify

And honestly, that’s more than enough to get me hyped to jump back into the arena.

Next plan? Simple:

Grind more Glint for the rest of the season, then maybe mix things up between Epic Draw and Major Chest—balance upgrades with a bit of RNG excitement.

Because in Splinterlands, sometimes a huge win…
starts from a single decision in the shop. ⚔️
