CLOSE RANGE | BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge!

Hello everyone, in this article we meet again to answer Splinterlands' weekly challenge, Share Your Battle Weekly Challenge, with this week's theme being close range.

This is a fight for 99 mana points. This gives players the freedom to choose the best monster. And, out of the two elements that can only be used in this fight, I chose Earth. In this brawl, both players have chosen QUORA as their mainstay. The rules that apply in this battle are close range, taking sides, which forces players to avoid using neutral element monsters, and Week Magic, which blocks magic attacks with existing shields. And, combining these rules, I decided to use a summoner who can destroy shields with a single attack. The shatter ability will be extremely useful, destroying the opponent's shield.

Based on the fighting rules, I decided to use MYCELIC INFANTRY, which has a shield and shield capabilities. This ability reduces the power of the opponent's melee attacks. MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN is also on my team and has the ability to taunt. QUORA TOWERSHEAD will attack with both melee and magical attacks. In this battle, GOBLIN PSYCHIC serves as a healer, while GOBLIN TOWER and HUNTER JARX act as archers with close-range abilities.

It appeared that the opposing players were also relying on the Earth element team in this fight. By sending a monster formation that is nearly identical to the one I sent in this battle. It's just that QUEEN MYCELIA will not contribute shields because my team already has a shatter ability.

Because of MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN's taunting ability, both teams focused their attacks on it in the first round. They exchanged attacks, but in the first round, I was able to eliminate my opponent's MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN. while my monster managed to survive the first round with critical health points.

In the second round, the opponent's QUORA TOWERSHEAD took advantage of MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN's critical condition to defeat him. and activated the Bloodlust skill. I was falling behind in terms of attack power.

In the third round, the opponent's QUORA TOWERSHEAD successfully reactivated the bloodlust skill. His attacking ability is improving.

In the fourth round, my QUORA TOWERSHEAD successfully activated the bloodlust skill. This is a battle between QUORA and the health recovery support of GOBLIN PSYCHIC.

In the fifth round, the opponent's monsters were increasingly pressed because they were outnumbered. QUORA TOWERHEAD is still fighting one another.

In the sixth round, I won the battle by eliminating the opponent's two remaining monsters.

In this fight, my strategy proved effective. I was able to use the summoner's abilities to my advantage while utilizing the combat rules. With the shatter ability, I was able to remove the magic attack barrier, allowing it to directly penetrate the opponent's monster's health. Aside from that, abilities that reduce magical attack power can help reduce the damage my monsters take. Aside from that, using monsters with arrow attacks increases my combat team's attack power without the need to worry about being in a tank position. It's all because of the close-range rule.

With this close-range ability, archer monsters can attack even when they are in the lead position. However, due to QUORA TOWERHEAD's toughness, the archer monster did not take the lead in this battle.

And that was one of my battles with close range rules.
