Conclave Arcana Hype: New Strategies, New Dreams

Hello, Splinterlands players! How’s it going? Hope you're having a great day and that your battle rating keeps climbing!

Today, I just want to have a casual chat and share a little about my personal experience getting ready for the latest upcoming series in Splinterlands — Conclave Arcana.

Before reaching Conclave Arcana, we’ve already been through several eras — from Untamed, Chaos Legion, and then Rebellion. Now, Rebellion for me personally felt like a storm in the middle of the ocean. It launched right when the market was at one of its lowest points. Chaos Legion was overflowing with supply, prices kept dropping, and many of us (myself included) felt like our investments got crushed. I still remember some of my older cards that used to be quite valuable — and now? Yeah, seeing their current prices really hurts.

But life moves on. And finally, Conclave Arcana is coming. Honestly, this is the set that made me feel excited again. I mean, just look at the card designs — they're gorgeous! They’ve introduced new elements like Archons (basically summoners, but with a cooler name 😎) and the Bloodline system, where monsters from different elements can be summoned as long as they share the same lineage. This definitely forces us to rethink our strategies.

And one card that immediately caught my attention is Stampeding Calf.
I’m planning to focus more on the Water element in my upcoming strategies, and I think this monster fits in really well. It only costs 3 mana but comes with Charge, Weaken, and Reflecting Shield? I can already imagine how valuable it’ll be in low mana battles. Plus, it belongs to the Unlund race, so it’ll be interesting to pair it with lineage-focused strategies.

Right now, I'm still saving up assets to buy some packs. And if I can't afford enough, my backup plan is to directly buy the cards or just rent some Archons using the DEC I earn each season.

Now, behind all this hype, there's another effect that’s really noticeable in the market: SPS and DEC prices have been climbing. Over the past few weeks, SPS stayed green for almost a whole month. Although there was a small correction — that's normal. A lot of people took profits (as they should). But from a player's perspective, it’s a positive signal — it shows that the game still has a long life ahead and investors are still interested.

As a LAND owner in Tridale (plot 048, baby!), I'm starting to feel the need to take action. Especially now that the crafting system for Midnight Potion has been announced — this potion will help us get Black Foil Cards, which are super rare and offer up to 5x rewards.
But funny thing is, you can’t buy the potion — you have to craft it yourself from your LAND harvest!

But well, life in Splinterlands is never that simple. I have to replace all my old worker monsters to match the right elements, focusing on Life and Earth. Which means? Yep, get ready to spend more DEC to recruit suitable monsters.

So, what’s the conclusion?
If you have a limited budget like me, it's better to upgrade your cards slowly but evenly. Focus on cards that are often used in specific rulesets. Don’t rush chasing gold foils if your funds are tight. And for LAND owners, pay close attention to what you can produce and which monsters are best suited to work there. Because now, LAND isn’t just for display — it can actually be a real source of profit if you maximize it.

Because Conclave Arcana isn’t just about new cards, but also about new opportunities.
And who knows? The card you open next... might just be the one that levels you up in Splinterlands.

See you in the arena, summoners! Let’s get those Archons ready!
