COUNTERSPELL RULESET | BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge!

Hello, masters of the Splinterlands.
See you again in the weekly challenge BATTLE MAGE SECRETS. In this post, I'll go over the splinterlands game strategy under various rule conditions. Battles in Splinterlands are very exciting because the power of the cards must match the rules of the fight. A strong card may lose to an ordinary card if it is not carefully aligned.

So, this week's challenge theme is the COUNTERSPELL ruleset. Because of the Counterspell ruleset, all monsters can reflect magic.

COUNTERSPELL

There are several things to look for if you come across a battle logo like the one above.

  1. Because the Counterspell ruleset allows you to reverse magical attacks, avoid using monsters that have magical attacks. Choose between melee and ranged monsters.
  2. If you must use a magic attack-type monster, choose one with VOID abilities, such as Djinn Oshannus. OR monsters with life-stealing abilities.
  3. Ability shield, Return Fire, Thorn, Shield repair, Protect, and Demoralize are important for dealing with enemy monsters.
  4. Supporting summoner abilities must be considered as well. Choose a summoner who does not boost magical attacks. Yodin Zaku, Grandmaster Rathe, and others are available to you. So long as it boosts ranged and melee abilities.

If other rulesets apply in addition to counterspell, you must focus so that those rulesets are in sync with a counterspell to win the battle.

RULES AND TACTICS

Let's see how my fight goes according to the rules:

This is a battle using the COUNTERSPELL, BRIAR PATCH, and EVEN STEVEN rule sets. Where the maximum mana allowed is 48 points and the elements of fire, life, and death are permitted to be used.

The Briar Patch rulesets influence the outcome of the fight. I try to avoid using two types of monsters in this battle: magic attack monsters and melee attack monsters. Because presenting that monster will be counterproductive because it will be hit by magic and thorn counterattacks. It's also preferable to use ranged monsters.

The enemy appears to rely on archer monster lines with summoner support for shield bonuses. Meanwhile, I anticipate with archer monsters as well as monsters lacking attack power. Riftwing and Will-o-wisp are two examples. It not only protects against thorn attacks, but it also reduces the life points of opposing monsters. Aside from that, I'd like to introduce Venari Bonesmith, a magical attack monster. This monster was hit by a counterattack, but its life-leech ability restored it.

RULES AND TACTICS

The mana provided in this battle is 45 points, and all elements except fire can be used in this battle. While the applicable rule sets are WHAT DOESN'T KILL YOU, COUNTERSPELL, and RISE OF THE COMMONS.

Based on the ruleset's combination, it is clear that using melee-type monsters will be more profitable because they will gain enrage skills when attacked. In the absence of legendary monsters, common and rare monster ranks will be used. Using magical monsters in this battle would be a bad idea.

However, it appears that the opponent believes that a magic team led by a level 6 summoner can circumvent the COUNTERSPELL ruleset, allowing the presented monsters to dominate. With the addition of melee and ranged monsters with high attack power.

My team's vanguard consists of monsters with flight and void abilities. It's definitely a benefit if you're attacked by magical monsters. While melee monsters with sneak abilities and ranged monsters with true strike abilities dominate my team.

This battle was fierce, and it became clear that using magical monsters was not profitable. The entire fight can be viewed at the following link:

FINAL THOUGHTS

It can be seen from the two battles that use the COUNTERSPELL ruleset that all monsters will gain an additional skill in the form of a magic mirror that will reflect the magic attacks they receive. The first battle is influenced by another ruleset that is detrimental to melee monsters due to thorns. As a result, using archer monsters is the best way to win. In the second fight, however, using melee monsters gives you an advantage because it grants you the enrage skill. However, in both fights, monsters with magical attacks will be at a disadvantage because they will be hit by a counterattack worth half the value of the original attack.

As a result, if you come across the COUNTERSPELL ruleset, avoid using magical monsters. Magic monsters can be used under certain conditions if they have the VOID, SELF-HEALING, and LIFE LEECH abilities. Because of the ability recovers or reduce counterattacks immediately.

Keep in mind that to win, the Counterspell rulesets must be in sync with other rulesets. In splinterlands fights, keep experimenting with counterspell rulesets combined with other rulesets. The more you fight, the more experience you'll have to optimize your battle strategy.
