The Advantages of Using Gold Cards

Hello, Splinterlands Summoners! How’s it going today? If you’re like me, you’ve probably had some exciting and strategic daily battles. Today, I’d like to share a story about how rewarding it is to own gold cards in Splinterlands.

The Beauty and Benefits of Gold Cards

First, let’s talk about the allure of gold cards. Besides their stunning appearance, gold cards have a higher value compared to regular cards. But what truly makes them special isn’t just their aesthetics or price—it’s the extra rewards they bring. Each gold card provides a 10% bonus in SPS and Glint for every victory, making them highly coveted among players.

In this particular match, the rulesets were Up Close & Personal, Rise of the Commons, and Aim True, with a mana cap of 46. For my strategy, I chose the Earth element, which I found to be versatile enough to tackle these rules.

From my collection, I included four gold cards:

• Venari Knifer
• Mycelic Infantry
• Disintegrator
• Katrelba Gobson

The other two cards in my lineup were regular ones: Dumacke Orc and Halaran Huntress. Positioning Katrelba Gobson at the back proved to be a brilliant decision—its high damage and pinpoint accuracy from the Aim True ruleset made it cut through opponents like a hot knife through butter.

The battle was intense, but my gold cards truly shone. Mycelic Infantry, with its Shield ability, absorbed a significant amount of physical damage, while Disintegrator weakened the enemy’s attacks using Demoralize. The highlight, of course, was when Katrelba Gobson went into full rampage mode, taking down enemy monsters one by one. Victory was mine in the end!

The Sweet Rewards

The most satisfying part of this win was seeing the rewards. The bonus from four gold cards significantly boosted my SPS and Glint earnings. With additional multipliers from Win Streak, Staked SPS, and guild contributions, my haul was much larger than usual.

For me, this experience reinforced how essential gold cards are to any collection. Even a common gold card can make a big difference over time. So, if you’re looking to maximize your rewards in Splinterlands, it might be time to start adding more gold cards to your arsenal!
