UP CLOSE & PERSONAL | BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge!

Hello, soldiers of Splinterlands. Salutations for another Splinterlands weekly challenge post. There will be a new challenge every week, and this week's will be discussing the conditions for Up Close and Personal.

Players of Spitterlands must understand the rules of the game. Because if your cards don't follow the relevant fighting rules, your deck of strong cards might not be able to defeat weak cards. To win, we must thus know how to optimize the potential of our cards.

UP CLOSE & PERSONAL

There are a few things you should be aware of to win a fight if you come across a logo similar to the one above. That is:

1. Monsters with melee attacks are the ones that can be introduced during this battle. If a monster also has melee attacks in addition to their ranged and magical attacks, then they can be introduced.
2. Utilize additional skill advantages, like Demoralize, to lessen the enemy monsters' attack power.
3. If your opponent attacks, use the Thorn's ability to strike back.
4. Make use of the shield to protect your monster and fix any damage to it with the repair shield skill.

It should be noted that to improve your chances of winning, you must also consider the impact of any additional battle rules that align with the Up Close and Personal rules.

RULES AND TACTICS

There is one more rule that goes along with the up close and personal rule in the fight shown in this post, and that is explosive weapons. The rule known as "explosive weaponry" causes nearby monsters to explode when a monster is attacked.

And when it came to selecting which element to use—the earth element or the life element—I went with the earth element. The earth element was my choice because I wanted to include monsters that could use both magic and melee attacks. With a mana cap of 32 points, I believe it is sufficient to engage Quora Towershead in battle.

As the summoner, I chose LOBB LOWLAND. Then I chose VENARI KNIFER as a tank because of its thorn ability. HILL GIANT is also a good explosion barrier because it has a lot of health points. I also sent a DISINTEGRATOR with the Demoralize ability. Finally, I arrived at QUORA TOWERSHEAD. on up close and personal rules. We can send monsters with ranged and magical attacks as long as they also have melee attacks.

The enemy unleashes a slew of powerful monsters. Will I be able to defeat this monster?

The VENARI KNIFER attack on INEVITABLE did not deal any damage in the first round because the summoner used by the enemy had the DIVINE SHIELD ability. My explosive attack was also rendered ineffective due to the CORSAIR BOSUN skill's reflection shield. Everything was meticulously prepared by the opponent. QUORA's healing power can still deal with enemy sneak monsters. DISINTEGRATOR's attack power reduction can reduce the attack power of enemy sneak monsters.

VENARI KNIFER successfully destroyed INEVITABLE's shield in the second round. The explosive power of the opponent's attacks gradually eroded the health points of the HILL GIANT and DISINTEGRATOR. However, no monsters have been eliminated in this round.

VENARI KNIFER was knocked out in round three. HILL GIANT advances as a tank. However, until the end of this round, my troops have been unable to destroy one of the opponent's monsters.

HILL GIANT and DISINTEGRATOR were knocked out in round four. What remains is QUORA TOWERSHEAD, who is fighting the opposing monsters alone.

QUORA's attack in the fifth round was successful in removing INEVITABLE and activating the Bloodlust skill. This was the start of things going in my team's favor. because the explosive attack power had begun to destroy the enemy's divine shield in the next row

Because QUORA's speed was increasing in Round 6, the opponent's attacks began to miss. and the opposing monsters are eliminated one by one beautifully.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Both parties in this fight have made every effort to win the fight. I use the thorn ability as one of the best melee monster counters on my combat team. Aside from that, reducing attack power with the demoralize skill is extremely useful. Meanwhile, presenting monsters with magical attacks can help you win the battle.

Presenting a divine shield on the enemy's side is an attempt to reduce the opponent's attack by one attack. This is advantageous in terms of reducing damage. It is also a good strategy to anticipate the applicable fighting rules by including monsters that are not affected by explosive power.

However, the ability to launch two types of attacks and combine them with explosive power proves to be extremely effective. This fight can be won by using the bloodlust ability, which increases attack statistics and speed. You can also try this strategy if you have the same opportunity in an up close & personal fight.
