In battles with the Equal Opportunity Ruleset, all Monsters have the Opportunity Ability. Monsters with the Opportunity ability may attack from any position and will target the enemy Monster with the lowest health. Opportunity Ability is one of my favorite abilities, so I can say that I love the Equal Opportunity Ruleset. I have a lot of strategies in the Equal Opportunity Ruleset and choose any of them based on my opponent and battle rulesets, and most of them work really well. In this article, I will talk about one of my most preferred strategies, I hope you like it.

Battle Ruleset

  • Equal Opportunity: All Monsters have the Opportunity ability.
  • Born Again: All Monsters have the Rebirth ability.

Opportunity Ability : Units with the Opportunity ability may attack from any position and will target the enemy Unit with the lowest health.
Rebirth Ability : When this Unit dies it will self-resurrect with 1 Health once per battle.

MY STRATEGY

According to the ruleset of the battle, all Monsters in this battle will have the Opportunity Ability and Rebirth Ability. Before starting the battle, when I reviewed the opponent player's recent 5 battles and considered the rulesets of the battle, it was difficult to predict what kind of strategy the opponent player would team up with, so I will have to consider all possibilities to win the battle.

My three most preferred monsters in battles with the Equal Opportunity ruleset are Venari Marksrat, Quora Towershead and Fungus Flinger, and I will prefer them in this battle as well. This lineup works really well in these types of battles. Also, in battles with the Equal Opportunity ruleset, I attach great importance to the lineup of monsters and make sure that monsters with the Martyr Ability are the targets of the enemies, that is, I make sure that they die first. I will talk about the details of my strategy and why I prefer other monsters below.

LINE UP

Summoner : HELIOS MATRIARCH

Helios Matriarch is a Dragon Summoner that allows the use of one additional Gladiator card in battle, and grants +1 speed to all friendly monsters. First of all, I can say that I preferred Helios Matriarch as a summoner so that I could use QuoraTowershead. I also believed that having all friendly monsters with +1 speed would give my team a great advantage in this battle.

Position 1: THANE NEWSONG

Thane Newsong is a Earth Monster that has no attack power and has Inspire Ability and Strengthen Ability at level 3. Since I will be using Melee Attack Monsters in this battle, I can say that I added Thane Newsong to my team so that they can attack their targets more powerfully. Thanks to the Inspire Ability, Melee Attack Monsters will have +1 Melee attack. Additionally, thanks to the Strengthen Ability, the health of all monsters in my team will increase by +1. And I put Thane Newsong in the first position.

  • Inspire Ability : Gives all friendly Units +1 Melee attack.
  • Strengthen Ability : All friendly Units have their Health increased by 1.

Position 2: VENARI MARKSRAT

Venari Marksrat is a Neutral Monster that can attack the target with a ranged attack and has Martyr Ability from level 1. The most important reason I added Venari Marksrat to my team in this battle was because it had the Martyr Ability. I put Venari Marksrat in second position next to Quora Towershead. When Venari Marksrat died because it has the Martyr Ability, Quora Towershead would get +1 to all of her stats. And I put Venari Marksrat in the second position. I set my strategy so that Venari Marksrat would be the first target of the enemies, and if it worked as I wanted, the first monster to die would be Venari Marksrat, and since it would have the Rebirth Ability in this battle, it would die twice.

  • Martyr Ability : When this Unit dies, adjacent Units get +1 to all stats.

Position 3: QUORA TOWERSHEAD

Quora Towershead is a very powerful Gladiator with both Magic Attacks and Melee Attacks and has Bloodlust Ability and Heal Ability at level 2. I would like to state that I have great confidence in Quora Towershead in this battle and I believe that she will help me a lot in winning this difficult battle. And I put Quora Towershead in the third position. I also put Monsters with the Martyr Ability next to Quora Towershead, which meant that if my strategy worked the way I wanted, Quora Towershead could get +1 to all stats 4 times.

  • Bloodlust Ability : This Monster revels in the glory of combat and becomes more dangerous as the battle goes on. Every time it defeats an opponent, it gets +1 to all stats.
  • Heal Ability : Restores a third of max health to this Unit's health each round.

Position 4: FUNGUS FLINGER

Fungus Flinger is a Earth Monster that can attack the target with a ranged attack and has Martyr Ability and Blind Ability at level 5. The most important reason why I added Fungus Flinger to my team in this battle was that it had the Martyr Ability. Additionally, it had the Blind Ability, which could give my team a great advantage in this battle. I put Fungus Flinger in fourth position and it would be the next target of enemies after Venari Marksrat died.

  • Martyr Ability : When this Unit dies, adjacent Units get +1 to all stats.
  • Blind Ability : All enemy Melee & Ranged attacks have a 15% higher chance of missing their target.

Position 5: QUEEN MYCELIA

Queen Mycelia is an Earth Monster that can attack the target with a Magic Attack and has Protect Ability at level 1. The most important reason why I added Queen Mycelia to my team was that it had the Protect Ability, and I believed that having all the monsters in my team with extra +2 armor in this battle would give my team a great advantage. And I put Queen Mycelia in the fifth position.

  • Protect Ability : All friendly Units gain +2 Armor.

Position 6: DESERT DRAGON

Desert Dragon is a Dragon that can attack the target with Melee Attacks and has Trample Ability, and Piercing Ability at level 2. Desert Dragon is a dragon with high attack power and very powerful abilities, and I can say that I added it to my team because I believe it can be very effective in this battle. Considering that the opposing team may have Sneak Monsters, I put Desert Dragon in the last position.

  • Trample Ability : When a Monster with Trample hits and kills its target with a Melee attack, it will perform another Melee attack on the next Monster on the enemy Team.
  • Piercing Ability : If Melee or Ranged attack damage is in excess of the target's Armor, the remainder will damage the target's Health.

I would like to say that I adjusted my team's lineup especially according to their health.

BATTLE COMMENTS

You can watch the entire battle from the video or from the Battle Link

Round 1

To be honest, the opposing player's strategy was also good. if I had only chosen magic attack monsters, my team would have had difficulty in this battle, fortunately, I also added melee attack monsters to my team.

In the first round, it was unbelievable that enemies with higher speed missed Venari Marksrat 3 times, which is why I like the Blind Ability so much. Also, my team's attacks were very effective and Baakjira took serious damage and only had 2 health left. At the end of the first round, no monsters could be destroyed.

Round 2

In the second round, my strategy started working much better and just as I wanted, the enemies destroyed Venari Marksrat twice and Quora Towershead destroyed Baakjira twice, meaning Quora Towershead got +1 to all her stats 4 times. Quora Towershead has now become much more dangerous for enemies. Additionally, Desert Dragon's attacks were very brutal, destroying both the Chaos Agent and seriously damaging the Coastal Sentry. At the end of the second round, two monsters from the opposing team were destroyed twice, while only one monster from my team was destroyed twice.

Round 3

In the third round, the enemies were very helpless against the attacks of Quora Towershead and Desert Dragon, indeed, the attacks of both of them were very brutal. At the end of the third round, there were only 2 monsters left on the opposing team, while 5 monsters on my team were still alive.

Round 4

In the fourth round, my team managed to destroy the last 2 remaining monsters on the opposing team twice and my team won this very challenging battle quite easily.

Although all monsters had the Rebirth Ability, it was quite remarkable that the battle lasted only 4 rounds. Frankly, I did not expect this battle to last so short. At the end of the battle, while all the monsters on the opposing team were destroyed twice, only Venari Marksrat could be destroyed on my team, which was already part of my strategy. Actually, according to my strategy, Fungus Flinger was also supposed to be destroyed, but the enemies could not destroy it even once. It was quite remarkable that at the end of the battle, Quora Towershead had 9 Melee attacks, 10 Speed, 9 Armor, and 20 Health, which clearly showed how well my strategy worked in this battle. My strategy worked pretty well in this battle and my team won this battle pretty easily. As I said above, this strategy works very well in these types of battles, which is why it is one of my favorite strategies. I recommend you to watch this very interesting and challenging battle from the Battle Link. I hope you will like it.
