In battles with the Taking Sides Ruleset, Neutral Monsters may not be used in battles. Actually, I like to use Neutral cards in battles, so I can say that I do not like the Taking Sides Ruleset very much, but that's okay, there are very few wars that cannot be won with a good strategy. I don't have a special strategy in battles with the Taking Sides ruleset, but I can say that I determine my strategy based on other rulesets and my opponents' recent battles.

• Equalizer: The initial Health of all Monsters is equal to that of the Monster on either team with the highest base Health.
• Taking Sides: Neutral Monsters may not be used in battles.

MY STRATEGY

Since the battle has the Taking Sides ruleset, Neutral Monsters may not be used in this battle, and since it has the Equalizer ruleset, the initial Health of all Monsters will be equal to that of the Monster on either team with the highest base Health.

Before starting the battle, I reviewed the recent 5 battles of the opponent player, but it was very difficult for me to predict what strategy the opponent player would use, so I can say that I determined my strategy according to the ruleset of the battle.

I love using the Double Strike Ability in battles with the Equalizer Ruleset, so I will use 2 Monsters with the Double Strike Ability and the Sneak Ability in this battle, I believe that I will destroy the opposing team more easily thanks to them. I will also use the Inspire Ability to make them attack their targets more powerfully. Additionally, I will use the Protect Ability as I believe that having all the monsters in my team with extra +2 armor will give my team an advantage. Additionally, I will use Tank Heal Ability and Affliction Ability as I know that they will be useful in such a battle. By the way, I chose Helios Matriarch as the summoner so that I could use a Dragon card and a Gladiator card in battle.

LINE UP

Summoner : HELIOS MATRIARCH

Helios Matriarch is a Dragon Summoner that causes all friendly monsters to have +1 Speed and allows the use of one additional Gladiator card in battle.

Position 1: DJINN CHWALA

Djinn Chwala is a Dragon that can attack the target with Melee Attacks and has Thorns Ability from level 1. I put Djinn Chwala in the first position because it has the Thorns Ability.

• Thorns Ability : When hit with a Melee attack, does 2 Melee damage back to the attacker.

Position 2: THANE NEWSONG

Even though Thane Newsong does not have attack power, I added it to the team because I believe that it will benefit the team in this battle with its abilities. Thane Newsong has Inspire Ability and Strengthen Ability at level 3. Frankly, the most important reason for adding Thane Newsong to the team in this battle was that it had the Inspire Ability, and I put it in the second position.

• Inspire Ability : Gives all friendly Units +1 Melee attack.
• Strengthen Ability : All friendly Units have their Health increased by 1.

Position 3: QUEEN MYCELIA

Queen Mycelia is a Monster that can attack the target with a Magic Attack and has Protect Ability at level 1. The most important reason why I added Queen Mycelia to the team was that it has the Protect Ability, and thus all friendly monsters will have extra +2 armor. And I put Queen Mycelia in the third position.

• Protect Ability : All friendly Units gain +2 Armor.

Position 4: KATRELBA GOBSON

Katrelba Gobson is a Gladiator that can attack the target with Melee Attacks and has the Bloodlust Ability, Sneak Ability and Double Strike Ability from level 1. Katrelba Gobson is a gladiator with really powerful abilities and can be very effective in this type of battle, so I added it to my team because I believe that it will destroy the opposing team's backline, starting from the enemy in the last position. And I put Katrelba Gobson in the fourth position.

• Bloodlust Ability : This Monster revels in the glory of combat and becomes more dangerous as the battle goes on. Every time it defeats an opponent, it gets +1 to all stats.
• Sneak Ability : Targets the last Unit on the enemy Team instead of the first Unit.
• Double Strike Ability : This unit attacks twice each round.

Position 5: DHAMPIR INFILTRATOR

Dhampir Infiltrator is a Monster that can attack the target with Melee Attacks and has Sneak Ability and Double Strike Ability from level 1. The most important reason why I added Dhampir Infiltrator to the team was that it has Sneak Ability and Double Strike Ability. In this battle, I planned to destroy the opposing team with Dhampir Infiltrator and Katrelba Gobson, starting from their last position.

• Sneak Ability : Targets the last Unit on the enemy Team instead of the first Unit.
• Double Strike Ability : This unit attacks twice each round.

Position 6: GOBLIN PSYCHIC

Goblin Psychic is a Monster that can attack the target with Magic Attacks and has Tank Heal Ability and Affliction Ability from level 4. Since I believed that Goblin Psychic would be very useful with its abilities in this battle, I added it to the team and put it in the last position. The fact that it heals the friendly monster in the first position and has the chance to apply affliction to the enemies can be very useful in such battles.

• Tank Heal Ability : Restores a third of max health to the Unit in the first position each round.
• Affliction Ability : When this Unit hits a target, it has a 50% chance of applying Affliction on the target causing it to be unable to be healed.

Round 1

In the first round, the attacks of the monsters on both teams were quite effective, but Katrelba Gobson's brutal attacks were much more effective and managed to destroy the Celestial Harpy, but thanks to the Resurrect Ability, the Celestial Harpy brought back to life with 1 health. Additionally, since Katrelba Gobson destroyed the Celestial Harpy, all its stats increased by +1, which meant that it would attack its targets more brutally in the following rounds. Also, it was admirable that Goblin Psychic applied affliction on Uriel the Purifier, which meant that Uriel the Purifier would no longer be healed. At the end of the first round, all monsters were still alive.

Round 2

Dhampir Infiltrator and Katrelba Gobson were really performing great and they ensured that the enemy team's last position monster(s) received serious damage and was destroyed. It was really very difficult to survive against their attack. At the end of the second round, 2 monsters from the opposing team were destroyed, while 1 monster from my team was destroyed.

Round 3

In the third round, Katrelba Gobson also managed to destroy Time Mage and all its stats increased by +1 again. Katrelba Gobson was truly reveling the glory of this battle, now it was much more dangerous to the enemies. And in the third round, another monster from the opposing team was destroyed.

Round 4

As I predicted, the opposing team's backline was easily destroyed by Dhampir Infiltrator's and especially Katrelba Gobson's attacks, and the opposing team had nothing to do about it. Together they destroyed 5 monsters in the opposing team's backline. And other friendly monsters also managed to destroy Uriel the Purifier, and my team won a very difficult battle quite easily.

Although the battle cost 40 mana and had the Equalizer Ruleset, it was notable that it only lasted 4 rounds. And at the end of the battle, while all the monsters on the opposing team were destroyed, 5 monsters on my team were still alive, which showed that my strategy worked quite well in this battle. In this battle, using Monsters with Double Strike Ability and Sneak Ability was very useful for my team, frankly, I already know that they can be very effective in such battles, so I used them and thanks to them, my team won this very difficult battle quite easily.
