I will share one of my most interesting battles with the Up Close and Personal ruleset, I hope you like it.

In battles with the Up Close & Personal Ruleset, only Monsters with Melee attack may be used in battles.

Using the Thorns Ability and Demoralize Ability against melee attacks can be very effective in battles. Additionally, in battles with the Up Close and Personal ruleset, monsters with two types of attack power, one of which is melee, can be very effective. In battles with the Up Close and Personal ruleset, I attach great importance to incorporating the things I mentioned above into my strategy whenever I have the opportunity.

• Up Close & Personal: Only Monsters with Melee attack may be used in battles.
• Super Sneak: All Melee attack Monsters have the Sneak ability.
• Taking Sides: Neutral Monsters may not be used in battles.

MY STRATEGY

Before starting the battle, when I reviewed the last 5 battles of the opposing player, I was almost sure that the opposing team would have level 2 Kralus and level 5 Vruz in this battle. Especially, it was not easy to destroy Kralus with the Heal Ability, so I knew that this battle would be difficult, and I needed a good strategy to win the battle.

To be honest, there was only one card in my deck that could deal with Kralus and that was Uriel the Purifier. And I decided to add Hugo Strongsword, who has Shield Ability and Bloodlust Ability, to my team, so I chose Franz Ruffmane as the summoner. I put Hugo Strongsword in the first position and Uriel the Purifier in the second position. I knew it would be a very difficult battle, but I believed I had a better chance of winning this way.

LINE UP

Summoner : FRANZ RUFFMANE

Franz Ruffmane is a Life Summoner that allows the use of one additional Gladiator card in battle, and gives +1 armor to all friendly monsters. I chose Franz Ruffmane as the summoner so that I could use the Hugo Strongsword card and because I thought it would be advantageous for all monsters in my team to have +1 armor in battle.

Position 1: HUGO STRONGSWORD

Hugo Strongsword is a Life Gladiator that can attack the target with Melee Attacks and has Bloodlust Ability and Shield Ability from level 1. The most important reason why I added Hugo Strongsword to my team is that it has Bloodlust Ability and Shield Ability, and I put it in the first position.

• Bloodlust Ability : This Monster revels in the glory of combat and becomes more dangerous as the battle goes on. Every time it defeats an opponent, it gets +1 to all stats.
• Shield Ability : Reduces damage from Melee and Ranged attacks by 50%.

Position 2: URIEL THE PURIFIER

Uriel the Purifier is a very powerful Life Monster that can attack the target with Melee Attacks and has Flying Ability, Recharge Ability and Heal Ability at level 2. Uriel the Purifier is a monster that can be very effective in battles with his abilities. I had great confidence in him in this battle. I put Uriel the Purifier in the second position. He can both attack targets very powerfully and has the chance to evade melee and ranged attacks.

• Flying Ability : Has a 25% bonus chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks from Units who do not have the Flying ability.
• Recharge Ability : This Unit attacks every other round but does 3x damage.
• Heal Ability : Restores a third of max health to this Unit's health each round.

BATTLE COMMENTS

To be honest, the opposing player's strategy was very good. And it was obvious that this battle would be a relentless struggle between Uriel the Purifier and Kralus. Let's see who will win. Uriel the Purifier and Kralus are among the most difficult monsters to destroy, so it was obvious that the battle would last a long time, so I will not explain each round one by one, but I recommend you to watch this amazing battle from the video or Battle Link.

From the first round, all monsters put up a great fight to hit their targets. Frankly, I didn't want Uriel the Purifier to destroy Vruz because it would be more difficult to destroy Kralus, who gets +1 to all his stats. Fortunately, this did not happen. Frankly, my team was lucky in this respect.

In the sixth round, Kralus managed to destroy Hugo Strongsword and Uriel the Purifier took first position. Frankly, I can say that this made me happy because the opposing team no longer had a chance to win this battle because I knew that even if it was difficult, Uriel the Purifier would eventually destroy Kralus.

Kralus has the Heal Ability, so the battle would take a long time, but I knew Kralus would be destroyed eventually. And in the twelfth round, Uriel the Purifier succeeded in destroying Kralus and only Vruz remained in the opposing team and it would not be very difficult for Uriel the Purifier to destroy it.

In the fourteenth round, Uriel the Purifier destroyed Vruz and my team was able to win this very tough battle. It was noteworthy that although the battle cost 22 mana, it lasted 14 rounds, which clearly showed that both the opponent player and I had a very good strategy, but my strategy worked better, so my team won. It worked very well for me to choose Uriel the Purifier in this battle, he is a really powerful monster and I can say that he helped me a lot in winning such battles.
