In battles with the What Doesn't Kill You Ruleset, all units gain the Enrage Ability which multiplies their speed and melee attack by 1.5x rounded up. I place great emphasis on using Melee Attack Monsters in battles with the What Doesn't Kill You Ruleset, as they can be much more effective in such battles.

Additionally, in battles with the What Doesn't Kill You Ruleset, I attach great importance to increasing the Speed, Armor, and attack power of monsters, especially Melee Attack Monsters with high speed and high attack power can be very effective in such battles.

  • Enrage Ability : This unit has 50% bonus Melee attack and Speed when not at full health.

Let's examine the What Doesn't Kill You Ruleset in a battle.

Battle Ruleset

  • What Doesn’t Kill You: All Monsters have the Enrage ability.
  • Equalizer: The initial Health of all Monsters is equal to that of the Monster on either team with the highest base Health.
  • Active Units : Fire, Water, Death and Dragon
  • Mana Cap : 36

MY STRATEGY

First of all, I chose Kelya Frendul as the Summoner because I thought having extra armor and high speed would benefit my team in this battle. Kelya Frendul is a Water Summoner who grants +1 armor and +1 speed to all friendly monsters.

In the first position, I put Torrent Fiend. Frankly, I added Torrent Fiend to my team because it cost 0 mana. The 5 cards and the summoner card that I would use in the back line had filled all 36 mana, so I can say that I added Torrent Fiend to my team. I can say that having cards that cost 0 mana makes it easier for me in such battles.

In the second position, I put Noa the Just, who has Rust Ability and Dodge Ability. I thought reducing the armor of all enemy monsters by 2 would give my team an advantage, and I will put Kulu Mastermind with Weapons Training Ability next to it, in the third position, so that Noa the Just has attack power.

In the third position, I put Kulu Mastermind, who has Weapons Training Ability, Opportunity Ability and Shield Ability. Kulu Mastermind's having both Weapons Training Ability and Shield Ability is a great advantage in such battles. Since Kulu Mastermind has the Weapons Training Ability, I put it next to Noa the Just so that Noa the Just would have Melee Attack power.

In the fourth position, I put Venari Wavesmith with the Protect Ability, so all monsters in my team would have +2 armor. I thought that having all the monsters in my team have +2 armor in this battle would give my team an advantage.

In the fourth position, I put River Hellondale, who has Resurrect Ability and Inspire Ability. I added River Hellondale to my team because I thought its Resurrect Ability and Inspire Ability would benefit my team in this battle. Especially thanks to the Inspire Ability, the Melee Attack Monsters on my team would have +1 melee attack, which meant that they could attack targets more powerfully.

In the last position, I put Deeplurker with the Opportunity Ability. I believed Deeplurker could be very effective in this battle as it has 4 Melee Attacks and 4 Speed.

Brief Descriptions of the Above Mentioned Abilities

  • Enrage Ability : This unit has 50% bonus Melee attack and Speed when not at full health.
  • Rust Ability : Reduces the Armor of all enemy Units by 2.
  • Dodge Ability : Has a 25% higher chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks.
  • Weapons Training Ability : Adjacent Units gain half this Unit's attack if they have no attack themselves.
  • Opportunity Ability : Units with the Opportunity ability may attack from any position and will target the enemy Unit with the lowest health.
  • Shield Ability : Reduces damage from Melee and Ranged attacks by 50%.
  • Protect Ability : All friendly Units gain +2 Armor.
  • Resurrect Ability : When a friendly Unit dies it is brought back to life with 1 Health. This ability can only trigger once per battle.
  • Inspire Ability : Gives all friendly Units +1 Melee attack.

BATTLE COMMENTS

Round 1

Battle Link

To be honest, the opposing player's strategy was also good, but the fact that the monsters on the opposing team had no armor was a great advantage for my team. Frankly, if all the monsters on the opposing team had armor, my team's job would be very difficult in this battle.

In the first round, all the monsters on the opposing team hit their targets, but their attack power was weaker than the monsters on my team, so they couldn't destroy any monsters, but the Exploding Rats on the opposing team were destroyed. But Doctor Blight poisoned River Hellondale, which wasn't good for my team. I hope it doesn't get destroyed without using the Resurrect Ability.

Round 2

In the second round, it was admirable that the opposing team's monsters did not miss, but despite this, they were not able to destroy any monsters. In my opinion, using the Scattershot Ability in such battles is not very advantageous, on the contrary, it is a disadvantage. In my team, only Kulu Mastermind missed its target.

Enraged Deeplurker's attack was admirable, destroying Scavo Chemist with 7 health in one hit.

Round 3

The attacks of the enraged melee attack monsters in my team were much more brutal, which made it much easier to destroy the enemies. Therefore, in the third round, 2 more monsters from the opposing team were destroyed. Even though the opposing team managed to destroy Torrent Fiend, it was brought back to life with 1 health thanks to the Resurrect Ability.

Round 4

In the fourth round, only 2 monsters on the opposing team were alive, and they were easily destroyed by the brutal attacks of the Melee Attack Monsters.

Even though the battle was 36 mana, it only lasted 4 rounds. It was remarkable that at the end of the battle, while all the monsters on the opposing team were destroyed, 5 monsters on my team were still alive. My strategy worked very well in this battle and my team won a very tough battle against a powerful team quite easily. I can say that especially the fact that not all monsters in the opposing team had armor and the effective and powerful attacks of the Melee Attack Monsters in my team played an important role in winning this battle. Unarmored monsters are much easier to destroy with Melee Attack Monsters. I recommend you to watch this amazing and quite challenging battle from the Battle Link. I hope you will like it.
