ILTHAIN | I'm So Sorry I Had to Do This. And Focus Chest | Splinterlands

While it is frustrating to fight very powerful opponents, it is not difficult to beat them with good strategies. When we analyze the opponent well and determine a good strategy in the battle, there is hardly any team that cannot be beaten. My favorite summoner against Ranged Attackers is Ilthain, Ilthain can really be very effective against them, and when a Monster with Amplify Ability is added to the team, it's not hard to beat them no matter how powerful the opponent is. In short, using the Return Fire and Amplify Abilities together is very effective against Ranged attackers.

Ilthain is a Epic Life Summoner belonging to the Riftwatchers edition that gives all friendly Monsters +1 Speed and the Return Fire Ability. And it costs 4 mana.

• Return Fire Ability : When hit with a Ranged attack, Monsters with Return Fire will return reduced damage back to their attacker.
• Amplify Ability : Increases Magic Reflect, Return Fire, and Thorns damage to all enemy monsters by 1.

• Fog of War: Monsters lose the Sneak, Snipe and Opportunity abilities.

Since the battle has the Fog of War ruleset, it would make more sense to use Ranged and Magic Attack Monsters in this battle. When I reviewed the last 5 battles of the opposing player, I saw that they had quite powerful cards and I knew that I would be fighting against a level 6 summoner in this battle. I thought Ilthain would help me win this battle, so I added Ilthain to the team, and also added Dax Paragon with the Amplify Ability. No matter how powerful the opposing team is, I believed that I could win this battle with this strategy if the opposing player prefers Ranged Attack Monsters. I recommend you to watch this great and quite tough battle from Battle Link and you can see how effective the Return Fire and Amplify Abilities are in such battles.
