In battles with the Equal Opportunity Ruleset, all Monsters have the Opportunity Ability. Monsters with the Opportunity ability may attack from any position and will target the enemy Monster with the lowest health. The Opportunity Ability is one of my favorite abilities, which is why I love the Equal Opportunity Ruleset.

I will talk about my most interesting battle with the Equal Opportunity Ruleset, I hope you like it.

• Up Close & Personal: Only Monsters with Melee attack may be used in battles.
• Equal Opportunity: All Monsters have the Opportunity ability.

Opportunity Ability : Units with the Opportunity ability may attack from any position and will target the enemy Unit with the lowest health.

MY STRATEGY

According to the ruleset of the battle, all Monsters in this battle will have the Opportunity Ability and only Monsters with Melee attack may be used. Before starting the battle, when I reviewed the recent 5 battles of the opposing player, I saw that the opponent's deck was much more powerful than my deck, and I knew that this battle would not be easy for me. And I could predict that I would fight against Bera Dallin and Inevitable, so I had to come up with a much better strategy to win this battle.

I would also like to point out that Bera Dallin and Inevitable are really powerful monsters, they can be very effective especially against melee and ranged attack monsters, unfortunately they are not in my deck yet, but I can say that they are the cards I would most like to add to my deck in the future.

First of all, for my strategy to work well, the monsters on my team had to make the first attacks, especially before Bera Dallin, which is why I chose Quix the Devious as the summoner, and thanks to Quix the Devious, the speed of all monsters on the opposing team would be reduced by -1 and I would also be able to use my dragon cards. I will put Djinn Chwala with Thorns Ability in the first position. And I will also add Disintegrator with the Demoralize Ability to my team to reduce the melee attack of all melee attack monsters on the opposing team by 1. And I will add Desert Dragon to my team, which costs only 7 mana and can attack its targets with 5 melee attacks.

And I will add Dumacke Orc with Shield Ability and Retaliate Ability and to my team, as I believe he can help me a lot in winning this battle. Although triggering the Retaliate Ability depends on 50% chance, it was the only ability that could help me win this battle the most, I hope it triggers during Bera Dallin's attacks. To be honest, considering my deck, there was no other way I could win this battle. Additionally, since Dumacke Orc only has 1 health, it would be the first target of monsters with the opportunity ability.

LINE UP

Summoner : QUIX THE DEVIOUS

Quix the Devious reduces the speed of all enemy monsters by -1 and reduces the ranged attack of all enemy ranged attack monsters by -1. I can say that I chose Quix the Devious as the Summoner because I thought speed would give teams an advantage in this battle. Also, I will be able to use my dragon cards.

Position 1: DJINN CHWALA

Djinn Chwala is a Dragon that can attack the target with Melee Attacks and has Thorns Ability from level 1. The most important reason why I added Djinn Chwala to my team is that it has the Thorns Ability, and I put Djinn Chwala in the first position.

• Thorns Ability : When hit with a Melee attack, does 2 Melee damage back to the attacker.

Position 2: DISINTEGRATOR

Disintegrator is a Neutral Monster that can attack the target with Melee Attacks and has Demoralize Ability and Trample Ability at level 5. The most important reason why I added Disintegrator to my team was that it has the Demoralize Ability and I put Disintegrator in the second position.

• Demoralize Ability : Reduces the Melee attack of all enemy Units by 1.
• Trample Ability : When a Monster with Trample hits and kills its target with a Melee attack, it will perform another Melee attack on the next Monster on the enemy Team.

Position 3: DESERT DRAGON

Desert Dragon is a Dragon that can attack the target with Melee Attacks and has Trample Ability, and Piercing Ability at level 2. Desert Dragon is a dragon that can be very effective in battles with its attack power and abilities, and it can be much more effective when it has the Opportunity Ability, so I added it to my team and put it in the third position.

• Trample Ability : When a Monster with Trample hits and kills its target with a Melee attack, it will perform another Melee attack on the next Monster on the enemy Team.
• Piercing Ability : If Melee or Ranged attack damage is in excess of the target's Armor, the remainder will damage the target's Health.

Position 4: DUMACKE ORC

Dumacke Orc is a Neutral Monster that can attack the target with Melee Attacks and has Shield Ability and Retaliate Ability at level 5. I can say that I added Dumacke Orc to my team because I believe he will help me a lot in winning this battle. Even though it only has 1 health, it is a monster that can be very effective against melee attack monsters. And I put Dumacke Orc in the fourth position.

• Shield Ability : Reduces damage from Melee and Ranged attacks by 50%.
• Retaliate Ability : When hit with a Melee attack, Units with Retaliate have a 50% chance of immediately attacking their attacker.

Position 5: VULGUINE

Vulguine is a Life Monster that can attack the target with Melee Attacks and has Scavenger Ability from level 1. The main reasons why I added Vulguine to my team were that it only costs 2 mana and has the Scavenger Ability, and I put Vulguine in the fifth position.

• Scavenger Ability : Gains 1 max health each time any unit dies.

Position 6: TWILIGHT BASILISK

Twilight Basilisk is a Dragon that can attack the target with Melee Attacks and has Reach Ability from level 1. The main reasons why I added Twilight Basilisk to my team were that it only costs 4 mana and has 4 speed and 1 armor, and I put Twilight Basilisk in the last position.

• Reach Ability : Melee attack Units with the Reach ability may attack from the second position on the team.

BATTLE COMMENTS

Round 1

To be honest, the opposing team was much stronger than I expected, and the fact that Inevitable had the Heal Ability thanks to the summoner in this battle would make my team's job much more difficult.

In the first round, Bera Dallin's armor was reduced to 1 before it was his turn to attack, which prevented him from attacking very effectively. Although my team's attacks were much more effective in the first round, both Inevitable and Bera Dallin had the Shield Ability, and Inevitable also had the Triage Ability and the Heal Ability, so my team's job would not be easy at all in the following rounds. Also, the Dumacke Orc retaliated 3 out of 5 attacks, but only the Corsair Bosun was dangerous to him because the others had no chance of damaging him.

Round 2

In the second round, my team did a great job and reduced Bera Dallin's health to 3 with their effective attacks. Additionally, the Dumacke Orc retaliated and destroyed a monster from the opposing team.

Round 3

At the beginning of the third round, my team managed to destroy Bera Dallin, frankly this happened much earlier than I expected, they did a really great job. Additionally, Desert Dragon destroyed both Bera Dallin and Celestial Harpy with brutal attacks. At the end of the third round, there were only 2 monsters left on the opposing team, and it was unbelievable that all the monsters on my team were still alive.

Round 4

In the fourth round, another monster from the opposing team was destroyed and only Inevitable remained, and no monster from my team could be destroyed.

Round 5

Even though Inevitable had shield and heal abilities, its health was reduced to 2 with the powerful attacks of the monsters in my team, which meant that it could be destroyed in the next round.

Round 6

And my team also destroyed Inevitable and managed to win this very tough battle.

The battle lasted 6 rounds, while all the monsters on the opposing team were destroyed, all the monsters on my team were still alive, which showed that my strategy worked quite well in this battle. To be honest, I didn't expect to win this battle so easily, my team really did a great job. Although the Desert Dragon's brutal attacks were quite effective in destroying the enemies, the hero of the battle was the Dumacke Orc.
