Hi splinter warriors,

Welcome to my blog. For me, this season has been going quite well. In the previous season(121) I was knocked back to bronze III. Now am back to bronze I and am looking to maybe go beyond silver III this time. I’ve realized that if I intend on going into going her leaguers I’ll need to either try buying cards or renting them. Renting was my first choice but I’ve just realized that over the long term, it will be more expensive so why not just get the cheap cards now and then go for the other expensive ones slowly?

Well, I hope you have gotten your rebellion packs already.

This is an entry to the Splinterlands weekly battle mage contest.

Battle Ruleset

Ruleset IconDescription
image.pngStampede: Trample will retrieve infinitely as long as the trampling unit keeps killing other units.

What this means is that, if in case a card with trample hits and kills a card in an opponent’s line up then that card will perform another round of attack on the opponent’s next card and if it kills that card too it will continue killing until it is not able to.

Summoner: Franz Ruffmane. A summoner which I like using simply because of Captain Katie. I think for me to stop using this summoner I’ll need to get the Quora summoner, but luck hasn’t shined on me yet. Soon heh?

The Franz Ruffmane summoner is a 6-mana summoner that comes from the Life family. It gives all cards a +1 shield and it allows you to use one additional gladiator card in your lineup.

1st position

Drybone Barbarian. There was a time I used to get Drybone Barbarian from my daily look often so I’ve been able to take it to level 3. This has caused my Barbarian to be stronger and as such I love using it.

My Drybone Barbarian is a 9-mana card with 5 melee, 2 speed and 10 health. What I like about this is that it has the enrage ability. This means when it is hit by a monster it increases its stats. At this stage, my Drybone card increases to up to 8 melee attacks.

Round 1

My opponent brought similar cards to mine but his first position card was different. It was a no-attacking card and it had the flying ability which I don’t like seeing.

He was one to do the first attack on my Drybone but since it was a one-range attack it wasn’t massive.

My captain Katie preceded to vanquish his venari marksrat card immediately. It was good as this meant my Katie was gonna increase in stats but then it also helped increase his Latie in stats.

His Katie made the next move on my Katie as well. It wasn’t good as this meant he was going to succeed in killing my Katie. The next move was made by my Uraeus on his Uraeus and succeeded in clearing its shield. It did retaliate and cleared my shield as well.

My Drybone then attacked his first position card ( pelacor conjurer) and well it missed as I expected.

It was unfortunate as his stitch leech attacked my Uraeus card next and was able to vanquish it.

In this round, I killed one of his cards and he also killed one of mine.

Round 2

In round two my opponent’s captain Katie didn’t waste time and quickly vanquished my Katie with its first attack. It was sad cause at this stage I realised there was no way I was gonna win the match with his Katie gaining more strength.

His venari Crystal smith attacked my Drybone next but as usual, it has a really low attack so it succeeded in taking just one health.

My Drybone took the rage and attacked his pelacor conjurer and killed it off. His Katie came into the first position. Sincerely if it had no shield I could have easily vanquished it but it wasn’t to be.

Round 3 - 4

The moment his Katie came into the first position it attacked my Drybone and considering it had a lot of attacks it reduced its health drastically.

Well, my Drybone was able to land an attack on my opponent Katie but could only clear its shield.

His uraes made the next attack and it was on my blinding reflector only clearing its shield.

His stitch leech took the opportunity and then vanquished it.

The first and last attack of round 4 was made by my opponent Katie as it killed off my Drybone with its first attack.

This was a match I actually knew I was gonna lose just by looking at my opponent’s line up but then I was hoping I’d be wrong. The moment his Katie vanquished mine then I realized I had lost the game.
