Hi splinter warriors,

So far so good. We are in a new season already. The last one went quite well for me. I did manage to get into silver and now am earning silver season rewards. That on the other hand hasn’t been going on well. Why? I’ve not been playing much. But I’ve started playing so I think I’ll try and get above 10 silver season chests. Let’s see how it goes.

This is an entry to the Splinterlands battle mage weekly contest.

Battle Ruleset

With this Ruleset you’re only allowed to bring magic cards. I’d say it’s one of my favourites simply because I love to use magic cards when I get the chance. Whenever I go for the earth cards my first choice card is always a magic card.

Summoner: Obsidian. The obsidian summoner is a summoner that is 4 mana summoner, it gives all your cards +1 to its magic. I like using Obsidian Earth Summoner cause it helps a lot. Especially when I decide to go with Kron the Undying. Kron the undying, becomes more powerful due to this.

Queen Mycelia. I don’t have any special reason for putting queen mycelia first. Mostly when am not limited to using only magic cards I prefer putting a melee card with a lot of health as my first position card. This makes it really hard for it to die. To play it safe I didn’t wanna put my strongest card which is Kron the Undying as the first position card either. This meant it would be killed easily.

Round 1

My opponent came with the same summoner. To be sincere I wasn’t expecting that. I thought he was gonna come with the last-stand summoner as I’ve seen him do in his last games.

At first glance at his lineup, I thought this was gonna be an easy win for me. Well, I was wrong. He came with the mycelia slipspawn, a card you have to attack and kill before you can land your attacks on the enemy's remaining cards.

Unfortunately, he had the highest speed so he attacked first. The first attack was from his regal peryton on my mycelic queen. It had an increased magic of 2 but with my queen's low health I was sure the next attack on it was gonna vanquish it and well I was right. Kron made his move on my opponent’s mycelic slipspawn but with its enormous health, it felt like nothing.

It took the hit and killed off my mycelic queen.

His venari spellsmith was the next to attack and he did that on my spirit hoarder which had just come into the first position. It has just health of 3 so it was gonna die easily. It did get to attack right after my opponent regal peryton attacked it. But it was vanquished by my opponent's khimer princess.

With my Djinn bijika coming into first position, it has little health. But before it got attacked my goblin psychic attacked my opponents mycelic slipspawn and almost vanquished it. It didn’t happen just yet before my opponent's goblin psychic vanquished my first position card.

In this round, my opponent killed 3 of my cards and I couldn’t kill any of his.

Round 2-3

With almost all my cards dying, I was left with just two cards now. My goblin psychic and then Kron the undying.

With goblin psychics' little health, I was scared of it lol. I already knew I had lost this battle but there was little hope since I still had Kron who actually did a better job at healing.

Goblin was quickly attacked by my opponents Regal Peryton, he took loads of its health too. Kron did the final damage and killed of my opponents mycelic slipspawn.

His venari spell smith then vanquished my goblin with one attack allowing my last and final card kron the Undying come into first position.

With Kron coming into first position most of my opponent's cards attacked it. In round 2 it was almost killed but it made it into round 3.

Well, it had the chance to heal and attack my opponent's crystal peryton but couldn’t kill it.

My opponent's cards gathered momentum and killed my Kron easily.

This was a match I thought I was gonna win easily. But I was wrong. I sent magic cards which had little speed and as such they got killed early. I did learn my lesson though.
