Battle Mage Secrets Weekly - Born Again

Hi Splinter warriors,

Welcome to my blog. How has your season been so far? For me I can't complain much as I have been able to make more time for gameplay and I've already made more chests than I did last season.

If you didn't know, Last season was a bad season for me cause I made less than 5 season cheats playing in the bronze league. Can you imagine that? Lets get into it and see how high we can finish this season.

This is an entry to the splinterlands weekly battle mage secrete contest.

The ruleset for this week is Born Again.

With this ruleset all monsters have the chance to self resurrect after being killed. This is one ruleset and love so much and can proudly say that I've only lost a few battle playing this ruleset.

Lets rumble

With low mana games I shy away from earth cards. To be more specific, when I see a game mana of less than 17 I don't mostly go near earth cards since I will not be able to use the last stand summoner and then fully knowing that my opponent won't be able to use it then I can be rest assured.

So for this battle, I opted for Bortus, a summoner I use a lot these days. With the Bortus summoner, you inflict your opponent monsters with the -1 magic. To be sincere, I didn't opt for the bortus summoner to inflict that on my opponent cards, I opted for Bortus because I wanted to use Djinn Oshanus and then a martyr card.

So after opting for the Bortus summoner which is a water element which has 3 mana. I then went in for the Hardy stonefish as my fist card. TYhe Hardy stonefish is a meleee card with 1 mana and 1 melee attack, it has 1 shield and the 1 health as well. The next card was the venari marksrat, a card which is a range card with 3 mana, 1 range attack, 1 speed and 2 health. The reason I opted for this card is that it has the martyr ability which makes it really nice to use with the rebirth ruleset in play.

The last card was Djinn Oshanus, Djinn was supposed to be the main character of the story but without venari markrat it wouldn't be able to do its job effectively.

So should I say I was fortunate my opponent went in for magic cards? This is because Djinn has void magic ability which makes it virtually impossible for a card who has less magic attack than it to have an impact on it upon attack.

With that I knew it was going to be a really interesting battle.

Round 1 was basically a round of killing first position cards. For us both, They were weak cards with really low health so it was quite easy to kill them off. In round 1 both were killed rather easily.

Then came my venari card which I so wanted to be killed super fast, With how low it's health is I knew it will die in an instant. My opponent cards wasted no time in making sure they killed it off with just 2 rounds of attack.

With it dying its martyr ability came on to boost my Djinn's stats by 1. So now Djinn had a magic attack of 3, speed of 6 and even a boosted health. It was chaos for my opponent cause even with a magic attack of 2 his magic cards were not able to get to me.

The bad news for my opponent was that my venari marksrat was still gonna come back one more time. It came back and in an instant it was killed again this time round boosting Djinn's magic to a 4,it's speed to 7 and then its health to a 14.

With my boosted stats, it was literally impossible to get to me now. Even when his melee card attacks it missed and then I retaliated and killed it with just one attack.

It became one man against all 4 of his monsters and none of them had a single impact on my Djinn.

It became a one man show and boy I loved it. It worked just as I imagined it would.
