Hi splinter warriors,

Welcome to my blog. This is an entry to the splinterlands battle mage secrets contest. The season has ended and now we are in a new season. How did you seasonal rewards go? For me, last season was a good one as I was able to get a lot of bronze level seasonal chests. This was after I took the decision to move to wild. Don’t get me wrong, I like playing in the modern league but I feel like it has become harder for me.

Harder for me in a sense that I have to unlearn what I used to know and learn new tricks to survive. I say this because my favourite chaos cards have been moved out and as such playing modern has become harder for me.

The sps rewards in the modern league is wonderful but I’d rather compete for the end of seasonal rewards leaderboard position in the bronze wild league.

Let’s get into it.

Battle Ruleset

For this type of Ruleset, summoners are not affected and as such you are able to use uncommon summoners like the lost llama but then you are not able to use kron in this type of game.

With this type of Ruleset I am mostly swayed to go back to the life cards. This is because with the like cards I am able to use captain Katie and that’s exactly what I did.

Summoner: if there was a better option am sure i will stop using the Franz Ruffmane summoner. Not that I don’t like the summoner but only because it has 6 mana so it ends up taking the mana when the mana of the game is less.

For this game I had to go in for it since I wanted to use captain Katie.

The Franz Ruffmane summoner is a 6 mana summoner which grants you the ability to use one gladiator card in your line up. It also grants all your cards a +1 shield as well.

1st position

The Drybone Barbarian. The Drybone barbarian is a melee card with 9 mana. With this high mana it compensates for it with high health of 10. It also has 5 melee attack with 2 speed. One of the reasons why I love using this card so much is that it has the enrage ability. This makes it have increase stats when it gets attacked by an opponent card.

Round 1

Round 1 was about to go really badly for me. This is because of a few things which was going to make me loose out early. With my drybones speed of 2 it means he was going to attack 3rd in the match but then my opponent had a card which inflicted my Drybone with a speed of -1. This meant my Drybone was gonna take longer before being able to attack in the first round.

The first attack of this round was made by my opponents time mage on my Drybone. With the magic attack it evaded my shield and went straight for its health. I was fortunate cause my opponents time mage’s attack was just one. With an increased range attack my opponents supply runner attacked my Drybone but I was in luck as it still had shield to guard it from the attack.

The next attack was still on my Drybone as my opponent looked to vanquish guy off rather quickly. I was in luck as it didn’t die before lunching it’s first attack of the round on my opponents first position card. I was unfortunate as it had shield but I was able to clear it.

After clearing the shield it was easier to vanquish it now but Katie had other plans as she went ahead to attack my opponents time mage which had only 3 health and it killed it.

With the blood lust effect she had an increase of stats.

The next move was by my pelacor arbalest on my opponent’s first position card but couldn’t kill it.

Then my opponent’s xenith archer killed my Drybone with its first attack.

In this round I vanquished one of my opponents card and he also vanquished one of mine.

Round 2

In round 2 captain Katie took over the first position and its mission was to vanquish my opponents chaos knight. This gave me more hope as its blood lust feature came into effect one more time to increase it stats. At this stage my captain Katie had 5 magic attack.

My venari crystalsmith made his move on my opponent’s celestial harpy but then couldn’t kill it as it had just one attack.

But then my pelacor arbalest was able to do the work with one strike as it had just one health left.

With the change of first position card my pelacor arbalest had one more attack so it did it on my opponent’s supply runner to reduce its health to 2.

My opponents pelacor arbalest then made his move on captain Katie but I was fortunate it had shield so it protected it and then his xenith archer missed as well so I was in luck.

In this round I killed some of my opponents cards

Round 3

In this round, Katie after taking all the hits attacks my opponents supply runner and vanquished it.

My venari Crystal smith attacked my opponents pelacor arbalest and well didn’t kill it off and needed my pelacor arbalest to do the work; and then with one of its attacks remaining it killed my opponents last card.

With this game I think Katie did a very neat work. She did the work of killing cards which were stubborn and wanted to give me headache.
