Hi splinter warriors,

Welcome to my blog. This season hasn’t been such a good one for me. I’ve not been playing a lot thus I don’t usually get a lot of daily rewards. My seasonal chests are nothing to write home about as well. But I hope I can play some more before this season ends.

So as usual, this week I’ll be writing about a battle in the weekly battle mage contest. This time round I can say it took me a long time before I could come across this Ruleset lol.

So let’s get into it.

Battle Ruleset

Ruleset IconDescription
image.pngUp close and personal: Only monsters with melee may be used in battles.

For this type of Ruleset, your melee attack cards will show how strong or brave you are. For this type of battle, it’s advisable to go in for cards which have the thorns ability cause your opponent's cards will surely make a melee attack on you.

You also need to go in for cards which have shield. As a bonus, you can also choose cards with dual attack.

Summoner:

Qid yuff, this is a summoner I hardly use because I have the Tarsa summoner but anytime I opt for the fire cards and the battle mana is very low I go in for this summoner.

The qid yuff is a fire summoner with 3 mana. The only reason why I decided to use this summoner for the battle is that it has the piercing ability. What this means is that if melee or ranged attack is more than the target’s armour, the remainder will damage the target’s health.

I opted for this because I thought my opponent was gonna field in a team with relatively strong shield cards but I was wrong.

The Grum flameblade. This is a card I always use when I opt for the fire cards. I could even say it was the motivation for me to go in for the qif yuff summoner. I say this because it has a melee damage of 4 and also bloodlust. If one needs to make just one kill in a game and it will be unstoppable in the game.

The grum flameblade is an 11 mana card with 4 melee, 5 shield and 10 health. The only downside to this card is that it has one speed which makes it likely to mostly be the last card to make a move in a match.

With its void amor ability it’s likely to avoid a lot of heavy magic attacks which I’ll say it makes up for with its low speed.

Round 1

Should I say I underestimated my opponent? when I saw his summoner I said to myself, this blud doesn’t know what he’s doing but it turns out I was wrong.

For a no magic Ruleset I was wondering why my opponent would go in for obsidian summoner when he could have easily gone in for mylor crawling. But that’s not mine to determine.

With my cards, this all had a speed of one which meant I was going to be last to attack each round. My opponent grund made the first move and with 2 attacks of each round I was guaranteed to loose this game.

He made two attacks on grum easily clearing its shield. His uraes made the next move on my radiated brute and well took part of its health.

Grum came in late to make its first move and well it missed. For someone who didn’t have a healer card it was just sad to see grum missing.

Round 2

With grum missing it’s first attack on my opponents grund I was sure it was over before the game scene started. His grund made his two attacks on my grum easily bringing its health to a 4. Something had to change miraculously or I was going to loose grum in round 3.

His uraes made its move on my radiated brute again and left it was just one health.

Well there was a little bit of relief as grum was able to make a move on my opponent’s grund but it wasn’t enough since I had just 4 melee.

No card died in this round as well.

Round 3 -4

In this round I was sure grum was gonna die simply because I couldn’t kill my opponents grund. He made his move and well it was easy cause he killed grum was so much ease.

The next kill was my radiated brute who was barely hanging on with just one health.

My ant miners made the next move on his grum in the last attack of round 3 but since it has just one melee it wasn’t enough.

With one hit his grum killed my ant miner and that was it.

This was a low mana game and as such I think I was the one who made the mistake.

I should have opted for which had the thorns ability and maybe brought in Grund as well. But it wasn’t to be.
