Splinterlands Engagement Challenge

source
Hi guys,
Welcome to my blog for another week of exciting splinterlands content. This week i am making an entry into the engagement challenge. Yesterday, I made my entry into the social media challenge where I usually speak about one of my favorite battles that I had during the course of the season. What I usually try to do with myy social media posts is to play the game and then analyse it. I usually analyse it by speaking about the cards that I used, the summoner and also the ruleset involved, What do I seek to achieve from this? well, it is a desperate attempt to undestand how I play the game more. At the end of the day by analysing my game I get to understand the errors that I made and then I see if I can correct it when ever I come up against such in the future.
This brings me to the second reason why I do this. I also write about my bbattles so I can help others to understand certain rulesets they have not come up against yet or have difficuties with certain rulesets as well. As I usually say, SPL is an evolving game and it keeps on changing. What worked a few years ago might not work any longer. This is because the card sets change now and then and so does the abilties. There might have been certain ideas which could defeat a certain card or line up in the past but now since new things have been introduced it might be very diffiult to do that.
So now let's get to the topic of the day. Today I'll be talking about one of the conclave cards. The conclave set was released a few months ago and as the day goes by I seem to find a card that I seem to love. In the beginning it was hard to use the cards because they were new but as time goes on it becomes easier. As you know, before a card you dont usually know which cards to choose if the set is a new set. But these days even before I select my card I instantly know the cards I'll be choosing. This is collectively due to the fact that I am used to the cards now and the moment I see the rulesets and the elements that are available I know the cards that I'll be using.

This brings me to the card that I want to talk about. For a long time I didnt realize this particular card was becoming my favorite. Its just a card that I alwyas turn to if I am using the fire element and its available. It dawned on me today that I like using it cause its reliable and a very good card at that.
This card is the drybone megalodon. This is a melee fire card. This card at max level has 4 speed, 10 health, 4 shield and 4 speed. The reason why I like this card is because of its retaliate, thorns and flank ability. What thr flank does is it allows your second card if its a melee card to gain the reach ability. So I mostly combine it with a very powerful melee card as my second card.
One other thing why I like it is that it has the retaliate ability and then the thorns. So if your opponent has a melee card as hos first it'll get affected with thorns and then If unfortunate retaliate comes in. Meaning the opponent can loose 4 health to his first card just because it attacked
This card is a really good card. It doesn't look like that much but its a really good card. Here is a battle to demonstrate how it was used by me in this particular battle
