Splinterlands Social Media Challenge - A Little Bit Of Brawl Excitement

Hi guys,

Another splinterlands special coming your way today. Today I won’t be writing about a regular battle but a brawl match. I don’t think I’ve ever written about any of my brawl games so take it as this one excited me to want to write about it for my social media challenge.

So for this brawl, I had to put in 8 battles to complete my brawl. I wasn’t excited to play cause it seemed the mana to the matches was very high. In case you didn’t know I like games with high mana cause am allowed to choose cards which I’ve always wanted to test out in battle but are cards that have very big mana.

So for this one, we had 3 rulesets.

The first one is the briar patch: all monsters have the thorns ability.

The second Ruleset is what doesn’t kill you: all monsters have the enrage ability.

And the last is the rebirth: all monsters have the rebirth ability.

If you read my battle mage from time to time you’ll know that I love the rebirth ability. Man, and I love the combination of a martry card and a djinn oshanus card( that’s a deadly combo right there)

Let the games begin.

Having the rebirth Ruleset and the thorns Ruleset made me rethink the lineup.

Coming up against the thorns ability meant that using a melee card was a hard idea even if that melee card was the strongest. So I opted out of using a melee card in the first position.

The second thing I made sure I did was to put in a martyr card which will boost the stats of my djinn oshanus card.

With this in mind, I used the bortus summoner. The bortus summoner is a summoner which reduces the magic attack of an enemy lineup by one. I use bortus when I want to use djinn so my enemy monsters won’t be able to touch djinn. Djinn has the void magic ability so a card which has fewer magic attacks than it can’t harm it.

With my venari marksrat card upfront, djinn was the second in command. Xenith archer a range card was next, with my healer card positioned beautifully to boost the health of my cards. A melee card( torrent fiend) was put in to make up for space and then Edith emerstar was put in my final and very strong blood list range card.

The first round began exactly how I wanted it to begin. With just a few hits venari marksrat was killed and stats buffs happened with djinn. Remember that there’s a rebirth ability hence it came back and was killed again. At this stage my djinn was 4 magic with 7 speed; with my opponent's djinn having only one magic I was sure it wasn’t going to even touch my djinn in battle.

Even at that it still tried but had no success. His other cards did get something on my djinn but with my healer in place, its health was being healed back. With a lot of hits, I finally got to kill his djinn oshanus for the first time in round 5 with my blood lust card Edith. I was already wishing Edith would be the one to kill it even though it missed its attacks on it.

I got a sweet feeling when I killed it for the second time with Edith. Remember Edith is a blood lust card so it meant more stats buffs on the way. At this stage, Edith has 6 6-range attack and 5-speed in the bag.

Edith seemed to be enjoying the battle more as it had the opportunity to kill another of my enemy’s card. This time round it was his magic card, Nerissa Tridawn.

The second killing of Nerissa was done by oshanus this time as it didn’t want Edith to have all the fun.

With the game reaching round 13 Edith was still making kills and getting crazy stat buffs. It wasn’t going to last long though as my enemy was left with just 2 cards. Oshanus finished off Alfred for the second time leaving his xenith archer in first position.

It was a battle which I had already won and boy did I enjoy it. It was my last brawl match for this brawl and I must say it was an enjoyable last battle.

Edith Emberstar did its bidding to in us this game as well as djinn and venari marksrat. I think the silent hero was my healer card as it insisted on not letting djinn die no matter what.
