Hi guys,

Welcome to my blog. Its been a while since I made a blog post. Yeah I know I've been away from hive for a couple of days. What feels like only a few days to me has ended up being a long while. I checked my last post and it has been about 22 days since my last blog post.

What better way to make a comeback than with a splinterlands social media post. As usual this is an entry to the weekly social media challenge. This time round I'll be giving an insight into where it all began for me in spl and how the journey has been so far.

So let's get into it.

I joined hive more than a year ago. The thing that attracted me to hive was the fact that one could write and earn. I didn't know about the prospects of play2earn on hive. That being said, I didn't know there were games like splinterlands on hive. My first encounter with splinterlands was when one of my following wrote a post about it. I loved it when I read his post about the game. But then I had my doubts.

This was because the game was a card game, the other reason was because the game was a kind of idle game, it was not like the web 2 games that I've played before so I didn't think I'll enjoy playing it.

Fast forward to a few weeks then I was interested in it. I wanted to play so bad but the usual me didn't take the initiative to pay the 10 dollar registration fee to start.

A few months later a friend of mine joined the game and as a yardstick I joined cause I had someone to teach me the dynamics of the game so I no longer had an excuse. I immediately paid the 10hbd fee and started.

I've been on spl for about 5 months and counting. I can't seem to remember the exact date I bought a spell book but it was last year around September/October. So I've been battling for over 5 months now and it's amazing how much I've grown on spl.

Am not gonna lie, When I started playing spl, it took most part of the day in the beginning as I was still a student back then even though I was in my final year. Now it doesn't take up much of my time cause am mostly busy during the days and there are days where I even forget to enter my team for brawl matches, but all that should change in due time as I'd have to find a way of playing so I could get my hands on the daily rewards. To put this into better understanding, the season is about ending and I have just 3 seasonal chests. This has been my lowest since I started playing spl. So I might need to play a lot today If I want to get more seasonal chests before this season ends.

Well for me I don't think I am where I wanna be right now when it comes to accomplishments on spl. This is because I am still a bronze player even though I plan on staying there for a long time so I can at least compete for seasonal leaderboard on the wild format.

One thing that I am at least proud of is that I've been able to get in on the rebellion set. My target from day 1 was to buy 10 packs and I ended up getting 11(extra one from a giveaway win).I didn't get a golden legendary cards from the packs but then I did get some pretty good packs.

For now my number one aim is to get my deck power to a 100k before the year ends. I know it will be difficult now since I hardly buy chaos packs and all that anymore but I can at least get there by playing regularly again. I plan on building my sps stake as well,

That is one thing I've always wanted to build and hopefully I can get to a 1000 real quick. For now the aim is to get about 10 times of what I have right now and then we set the next goal.

SPL is a game of strategy and learning rather than aiming to win every battle. Since it is a play2earn game I understand that loosing can be really annoying when all you want to do is earn.

My advice to anyone looking to make it on spl is to have patience, enjoy the journey instead of trying to win every battle. Learn from others and don't be too arrogant to adapt the strategy of others in the game.

People who are experience in the game took some time to get to where they are right now so don't over expect when you join the game, It's a game after all so try and enjoy it.
