Hi guys,

Welcome to my blog for another entry into the splinterlands social media challenge contest. This time round we are still on the rewards cards. With this overhaul, I’ve been very excited for the 15th of this month and now we can get those cards from the glint reward shop.

Yes, we might be super excited that these changes have been made but then most of us will have to wait to have a decent deck before we can use those cards in battle. The thing is, I play most of my battles or fully maxed cards and summoners so I get opponents who have similar cards and summoners hence if I try using these lower-level rebellion soul bond cards in battle I'm afraid I’ll be beaten.

2 days ago I was able to accumulate a lot to 80k glint and the first thing I did was to buy some loot chests hoping to get really good cards. I did get a few good cards but my question is which one is best? Is it better to buy the card draws directly and then hope you get the same cards till you max them out or simply continue buying the loot chest and hope that you’ll get the good cards from the chest as well?

The thing is, buying the draws Is a gamble especially if you decide to buy the legendary draw. You might not get the cards you’ll need to upgrade and those draws are pretty expensive.

With the lost chests too you have chances of getting other things like energy, merits, potions and others which are not cards as well. For now, I’ve seen that they spread the merits more to me when I buy loot chests.

Hopefully, I can get better cards whichever way I go. For now, I have about 15 cards and I’d like to talk about 4 of my best in this post.

Night Reaper

The first one is an epic card which I got from the loot chest. Unfortunately, I got a level one of the night reaper. At level one it has 3 magic attacks with 4 speed and 9 health.

It is a dragoon unit card which means I can use it as I deem fit whenever I have the chance to use the dragon summoner. It has the abilities of flying and wing break. Most of us are familiar with the flying ability but the wingbreak is a new one.

What the wing break does is to always target the first flying unit regardless of abilities or rulesets. It does +2 damage to a flying unit. What this means is that as soon as the match starts this unit only targets units that have the flying ability and attacks it. The flying unit suffers +2 damage.

Commander Slade

The next card is a rare water card. It has 10 mana but with great stats. It has 3 melee attack, 4 speed, 8 health and 5 shield. It has the abilities dodge and enfeeble.

We are used to the dodge ability but then we don’t know about the enfeeble ability. What this does is each successful attack reduces the defenders melee attack by 1.

What this means is that when this card attacks a card which has melee attack it will reduce its melee attack by one. So if this attack performs multiple rounds of attack on an enemy card it will keep reducing its melee attack by 1.

Chaos Evoker

The next card is the chaos evoker, a fire card. It is a 7-mana card with 2 magic attack, 3 speed, 2 health and a shield.

It has the blast ability which we are familiar with.

Giant Alphine skink

The last card is the giant alphine skink. A card with 8 mana. It’s a water card with 4 melee attack, 3 spend, 6 health and 2 shield.

It has the shield ability which means it reduces damage from melee attack by 50%.

So yh, these are the few cards I’d like to talk about for now. As time goes on am sure I’ll get more cards then I’ll be able to write on other cards I get. Hopefully, I can get to max the cards fast enough.
